Followed by the Chaotic Creature

Followed by the Chaotic Creature
Living Again as an Indigo

It happened while I was sitting on a kindergarten bench. The teachers decided to go on an excursion together with the parents of the students. But in the middle of the bus ride that took us had a tragic accident. I was stuck in the bus for hours before being rushed to a nearby hospital.

Even though the doctor said I was going through a critical period, I didn't wake up, making my family anxious. For days, weeks, even a month, I continued to fall asleep.

My parents tried everything to wake me up. Starting from calling a team of medical experts to famous psychics.

Various stories have sprung up about my condition, some say I was in a severe shock that made me not want to wake up again. Until the mystical stories that say that I was kidnapped by subtle creatures. Some even say that I am dead.

I don't know for sure what happened when I was in a coma, I forgot everything when I woke up. All I knew was that once I opened my eyes, my mother hugged me while crying. Papa who saw me was moved. And the hand of Angga's brother who clasped my hand tightly while crying.

I am grateful that I am alive, I am happy to be with my family again. Even though I have to swallow the harsh reality.

First, apart from me, all of my Kindergarten friends who went on excursions with me including teachers and student parents all died in the accident that we experienced.

Second, after recovering from my long sleep, I could see what I had not seen before. Spirits, ghosts, jinn, subtle-creatures, whatever they call it, they started popping up around me.

Angga said, this happened because I was once between life and death. My soul touched the realm of death, though it never died. It seems I can see them.

After that my life was hard. People started to stay away from me. Afraid to approach me. For my family, me escaping Death was a miracle. But for people it is an oddity. Negative allegations have been raised about me and my family.

That's why I chose to get out of this neighborhood once I graduated High School, to a new place and start a new life. Meet new people who will only know me as Melya, not the child who rose from the dead.

I stared into the nearly empty cup. It was as if my shadow was reflected in it. A tear hung in the corner of my eye.

"Don't get carried away with negative thoughts, Mel" said Angga. Angga's soft hands rubbed the corners of my eyes. "Smooth beings like them like to approach humans whose minds are weak and possess them" he continued. I blushed at his actions.

"Therefore don't show your weak side when you're near them."

"I'll remember." I said.

"For the creature that follows you, it's good if you listen to his request first. Try talking to him while 'he' is in the form of those kids."

"That brother Angga means that the children are not his true form?"

Angga shrugged his shoulders, "Who knows. It's just a temporary form that the creature uses to get close to you."

Angga touched the back of my hand and spoke more gently. "I know you're reluctant to help them, nor will I persuade you to do so, but if it's related to someone who's still alive. There's no harm in helping her request. "

Instead of denying it, I nodded.

My eyes turned to a leaf on the table that Angga had taken from my hair. I'm a little suspicious, "That leaf, what leaf stuck to me when I entered the forest? Is there anything strange?"

"Oh, these are just ordinary flying leaves stuck to your hair. Don't think about it." Despite answering so, he stuffed the leaf into his shirt pocket.

I became more suspicious. "Certainly, why cantongi's sister? Why not throw it away?"

"You're very suspicious, Mel. It will be hard to find a boyfriend."

"You have it yourself." I quipped.

"Ho ho, just calm down. Outside many are waiting in line to be the girlfriend of your handsome brother. "

"But pede. I wonder how many escaped once they know you're just a freak." I said

"I'm not a freak. I'm just a little different" he said confidently with a smile. Even though until now there has been no girl who took him as a girlfriend. Reason ? Yeah, I guess the same as me.

"You're going home yet?"

"I'll be back this afternoon. I'll check into my house. Maybe my parents are back."

Angga led me to the door.

"If so wait at home. I'll take you in the afternoon."

I came home after chatting for a while with my parents letting go of longing. Angga drove me to the nearest bus stop and accompanied me until I got on the bus.

Angga forbade me to enter the forest again alone. Although not a haunted forest even though the forest remains dangerous. Because there are many misleading points. So it's very risky if I go in alone without a guide or a companion.

He promised to accompany me once I was ready to go there again.

"Take this." Angga gave me something small bag-shaped.

"What's this?" I asked to open the bag.

"Don't open!" Prohibit it, "to now leave it closed like that."

"Sort of talismans? Wh-wh-what for? You're saying the kid's harmless? "

"Just bring. Who knows you'll need it." he said again.

It was almost dusk when the bus drove away from my birthplace. The bus carries passengers every time it stops.

A mother takes her child up. Followed by a lame man. With her mouth ripped to the cheek revealed her teeth and cheekbones. My mother sat in front of me. While the limp man walked towards me while dragging his feet.

Haah! sure is! I'm sighing. I put on the headset and turned to the window. Sure enough my guess is he stopped right near me.

"You can pretend not to see but that doesn't mean they're really gone" Angga said at the cafe ringing in my head.

He nodded as if he wanted to talk.

"Go!" I cut him off in a suppressive voice and half whispered, venturing out to drive him away without looking at him.

"Go! While I'm still talking good." I yelled a little while holding my headset as if talking to someone on the phone.

The man walked to the back.

Fortunately he was leaving. What happens if he stays close to me. I don't know what to do.

Being able to see them doesn't make me a great ghost repellent, or a brave man. Sometimes I still like to feel afraid when I meet suddenly. In the end, I was just a normal girl.

Arriving at the hotel it was dark. Fatigue attacked my whole body. Without thinking about anything else I fell asleep.
