POV Melya
When I came home from school it was raining heavily. On that trip I felt like I was following someone. I turned him into a turn. I dare not look back for fear.
I hastened my steps. He also accelerated his pace. I ran he ran after me. The sound of his footsteps treading the puddle of water was heard. I'm sure he's malicious.
"To-please!" I tried to scream for help but my voice was drowned by the rushing sound of rain. When it rains like today, people choose to stay inside the house and lock the door. Who should I ask for help with?
"Ohhhh!" pekiku. Because my feet slip slippery. I hurriedly got up and hid in the alley. Leaving my umbrella on the way.
Deg deg! I could hear my frightened heartbeat.
I bit my lips and held tightly to my bag strap, my body shivering from the cold and already soaking wet. My vision was blurry because of the rain to how many times I had to wipe it with my hands.
I could feel it and hear its footsteps faintly. He's getting closer. Oh God! I was so scared I couldn't breathe. I'm afraid he knows I'm hiding here.
And when the lightning struck through the air, in that short moment I could see the figure standing right before me. I smothered my mouth with my palm trying not to scream. My tears are mixed with rain.
Suddenly an umbrella dived down in front of me as if covering my being.
"Shhh! Quiet down!" a voice sounded from the person behind me. A woman's voice.
I can't see that guy except for his legs. When I saw that foot step away from that place, then she lifted her umbrella again. The stalker was gone.
Thank goodness! I feel relieved. I turned around to look at the person who had helped me and thanked him.
"Thank you for that - Aaakhhh!" my speech turned into a hysterical cry that tore through the sound of rain. I was aghast away until I fell into the street when I saw the face of my savior, the faceless woman.."

"Byeah!" Lisa tried to practice the yelling of the person she was telling. "Aww!" her screams turned to screeches as Dina hit her arm.
"Sick, Dina!" grouse Lisa.
"Sit down! Everyone's looking at you."
Lisa sat back in her chair. While Eli laughed a little to notice Lisa's behavior. The four of us sat down for lunch in the cafeteria during the break.
"Can't you tell a ghost while eating? My appetite is gone!" dina protest.
"But it's real! Everyone is talking about it a lot. I heard it straight from the upperclassman."
Eli laughed at her response.
"Are you laughing, El? I'm telling a ghost story."
"You tell me that's what makes me laugh."
Dina laughed at Eli's reply. "The horror story turns funny if Lisa's the story."
The three of us laughed at Lisa.
"Stop laughing at me! Though I've been telling the story really," said Lisa pretended to be upset.
"What do you think, Mel? Have you ever seen that ghost?" ask Eli.
"No. I've never seen it before" I replied.
"Rain song?" We all wondered.
"Yes, when you're alone, listen carefully. There are voices singing in the rain. When you hear that singing voice, the female ghost will appear near you. That's how the story goes."
We all fell silent.
"Huh! Sorry yes! It was so crowded!" said Riri who just joined after waiting in line to buy food. "Oh yeah! What were you guys telling me?"
"So we told ha-aw!" I kicked Lisa's leg so as not to continue her words. We are still careful to discuss the matter with Riri. So as much as possible avoid that conversation.
"Huh-aw? What'sthat?" Riri who heard it was confused.
"Eli will check up to the hospital today. And I intend to accompany him. Do you want to come?" I asked Riri to switch the conversation.
"It's a pity that today I have tutoring home from school. So can't come" replied Riri.
"Then I'll come!" lisa is excited.
"Today we both have extra hours of lessons. You're forgot?" dina reminded.
"Oh yes!" Lisa just remembered.
"It's okay if you can't."
We continued our lunch. You may be confused as to why we met. Yeah, we just met in the school cafeteria a few days ago. Dina and Lisa still remember me because you were a team at camp.
They greeted me who was with Eli and Riri. They also get acquainted. Given Eli's friendly nature and Lisa and Dina's open nature they become familiar in no time. We ended up having lunch together in the school cafeteria despite not making an appointment.
It has rained like a relentless storm this week. Today is the same. The rainwater formed a thin curtain that enveloped the school building. It was as if it was blocking us all from getting out of this school. But of course it's just my imagination.
The other children went home as usual with umbrellas. I was planning on waiting for Eli because we were going to the hospital. He was being called to the teacher's room. So I waited for him on the front porch of the school building.
"Ah yes I forgot not to say to brother Angga will go today." I went up to the second floor to meet him, but in front of the stairs I saw Angga talking to a female disciple. Did he get another love statement?
It's actually not a new thing to see her being shot by a female student here. What was surprising was the female disciple who was with him. Laila, he has a class leader in my class.
I don't if they know each other. Do they have a special relationship? Or is this just a casual discussion between class administrators?
"I understand you're worried about your sister. But you can't forever use that excuse not to go with me! I need you too!" laila protests she looks irritated with Angga.
"I don't want to hear any more excuses! Anyway you should go with me today!" Laila then left. Fortunately he didn't see me.
"When did you like eavesdropping?" Angga's rebuke surprised me. I'll approach her soon.
"I'm not eavesdropping! I did want to talk to you and overhear your conversation" I explained. "I didn't know you knew Laila.
"Forgot that! What do you want to talk about?" tanya Angga shifted the topic.
"I'll accompany Eli to the hospital. Mama's allowed it, so if you want to go with Laila it's okay."
"All right! But be careful when you get home! Go home before dark!"
"okay!" I ran away with spirit. When I got back to the front, Eli hadn't shown up yet. Is it still a long time?
