"Ohhhh!" My terrified screams echoed throughout the forest.
I was surprised that a snake fell on me from above and wrapped around my neck. Just reflex me pulling and slamming it to the ground.
"It was so loud that his screams. If other people hear it, they'll think we did something bad to you." A man's voice came from behind me. I looked up and saw a big white tiger.
was he the one who spoke to me?' my question is in my heart.
"Calm down! The snake just wants to check on you! You don't have to slam it like that." The tiger again.
I turned to the snake again. "Sorry! I'm a bit allergic to animals." I said with a nervous laugh.
The snake hissed furiously and then left. It seems like he was angry with my disrespectful attitude earlier.
"Not to worry. He's grumpy but not vindictive." The tiger responded to my worried expression.
"I'll drive you here." He again walked in my face while the little fox was gone. I'm following the tiger.
"I salute your stupidity, son of man. Just following a creature like me. Aren't you afraid I'll eat you?" I stopped my steps.
"It's too late to change his mind. I'm not gonna let you escape." Rather than the threat, the insinuation to me was more annoying.
"There's a lot of opportunities, if you wanted to eat me, you'd have done it before." I said calmly replying to his threat.
"My actions may seem careless but not without calculation. I followed you because I didn't feel bad intentions from you. And again I've left a trail without your knowledge. So once I know I'm gone, they'll be looking for me and following my lead." I said smiling back at him.
"In addition, my body is small and tastes bad. You better not eat me." I said a little kidding.
The tiger laughed. Then continue walking. I followed behind him again.
"For our kind, you look delicious with power abounding within you. It will increase our strength. And one more thing. Creatures like us are also good at hiding their intentions. So in the future you have to be careful." Seriously so.
"thank you. I'll be careful in front of him. At least my judgment this time was not wrong. I followed the kind-hearted tiger who bothered to remind me." My words reciprocated.
"An interesting kid." Say it again with a laugh.
After a long walk we finally arrived at our destination.
"Come in!" The tiger's orders.
"You're not coming?" My toot.
The tiger shook his head, "Master wants to talk alone with you." After saying so he left.
I continued walking. I felt through the invisible thin curtains. I think it's a shield to hide this place.
I came to a place that was brighter and warmer. But the ground I was on was emitting tremendous power. This is the first time I have entered another dimension.
A big tree loomed high in front of me.
"What was this tree I saw that night?" I asked considering my first arrival in this village.
A boy was standing next to the tree. I recognize his figure.
Ello. Or maybe not.
I walked up to him.
"Are you the one I met last night?" I asked without further ado. He was silent for a moment. The smile on his face disappeared.
"Are you the one who met me at the station? Are you the one who's been bothering me lately?" Without waiting for the answer I continued to attack him.
"really. I'm the one." He finally answered.
"I thought a ranger was very busy guarding his territory. I can't believe you're bothering to visit me who's a long way from here."
"Great, I don't think I need to introduce myself anymore. You already know."
"of course. The energy is stronger than the other creatures here. It's obvious you're the ranger the villagers talk about a lot."
"What's your real purpose?" Ask her.
"As I said last night. I need your power to open that sealed door, and bring out the creature inside." He answered
"What exactly is that thing?" Ask again. From Mina's memory all I see is that she's just an ordinary human. Why did it get like that.
"He was just a lost and desperate human being. His kindness did not last long. His fear had turned him into selfish and greedy. He learned black magic from a book he accidentally discovered and made a demon slave.
He was successfully sealed in the basement. But it's not enough. The perverted creature eats up the darkness. Putting him in there will only make him stronger. I had to eliminate him before he became a more dangerous threat.
"Unfortunately my power can't break that seal. I need a human with high spiritual power to open that door." The forest guard explained.
"And that man is me. Right?" Manya make sure.
"really. That's why I used this child to lure you here." The answer is satisfied with the plan.
"And you managed to get almost killed in this forest because of that thing." I continued his words with annoyance.
"Don't be angry, princess!" Persuaded it. "I saved you and your friend last night. I've helped you guys get it done, too."
Still, it doesn't erase my frustration. He could save us early. But he didn't do it and let us work hard first. He was playing us like he was enjoying a fun spectacle.
"One more thing I still don't understand. Why are you acting now? Why don't you move early. He killed those kids at your place. And you just shut up. You could have saved them. Your act of getting rid of that thing isn't like you're 'washing your hands' after you ignore those kids." Tukasku emotion.
"Your accusations are cruel." Rebuttals. "Creatures like us have rules to follow. Having power does not mean breaking."
"The children are destined to die in this forest. I cannot change my destiny. After all, what happened to those children was the negligence of the parents in watching over their children. You can't blame me or the criminal completely."
"If I had saved them, what would the parents have thought? They will let their guard down and ignore the protection for their child because they think there is already someone protecting their child. Do you think that's good?" Ask me.
"No." My answer.
"It may look cruel. But this will be a lesson for other parents to better watch their children in play because there is a danger that can kill them at any time." For all the explanations I can understand and agree. Although this is painful for the families of the victims.
"I know your kindness. It's also what's been pushing you to this place. You can't ignore your friends who need your help. You can't ignore the cry for help from trapped souls. You throw away your fear to help them. That's why I chose you to help me."
"You've explained why you chose me. Then, is there any reason you're using that child?" my many.
He grinned, "That's another reason why I chose you. I want you to take the boy back to his family."
What did his words mean? Does he know where Ello is. Does that mean Ello's alive?
