Murder Under the Rain Part 5

Evania looked at the children and disappeared from view.

"Basic liar!" he spoke to the man next to him.

"What?" ask the man not to understand.

"You said you didn't have a sister!"

"It doesn't have!"

"So you threatened me just because of a stranger. Alden, you're a big liar!"

The young man called Alden only smiled knotfully as he stared towards the children leaving.

The next morning, on Sunday Melya called Angga to come to her house and tell him about the incident last night.

"I was out last night but not at the hospital. And why did you even secretly come out again when I told you to stay at home," Angga denied.

"I told you I was after you because I wanted to say something, but you left anyway I knew that the one in the hospital wasn't you. I just want to make sure!" said it.

"So what do you want to say?" angga continued asking.

"It!" said Melya while showing a large button in dark brown. There's our school name imprinted around those buttons.

"What'sthis? Buttonhole?" tanya Angga observed that thing. It seems that he has not understood what Melya meant. Then, he took his uniform and showed it to Angga.

"Look! uniforms in our school are indeed made specifically, ranging from design to buttons. So just looking at the uniform they already know that it's our schoolgirl. Men's uniforms have lighter colors and and smaller button sizes. As for the buttons that you're holding, I'm sure it came from our schoolgirl uniform."

"This thing was dropped by the assailant yesterday.it seemed like he didn't realize it was falling. Why do you think the guy kept these buttons? And why are the victims just our schoolgirls?"

"You don't think he killed our schoolgirl just to collect the buttons, do you?" she told Melya a little joking.

"Of course not. If I wanted to collect, I would have taken a different variety from a different school. Why am I collecting the same thing."

Angga was silent for a moment, then his eyes widened as if realizing something from that small object.

Then turned to Melya as if confirming something.

Melya nodded softly a sign that what she was thinking was the same as her.

"Last night I had a chance to call Brother Jun again just checking on his sister's situation. I just found out his sister went to our school, too. Then they confirmed my guess. I asked her if her uniform had one button missing. When he checked, there was one at the bottom."

"Did you tell everything to Brother Jun?" ask Angga.

"I don't tell stories. Because I don't want to make her anxious anymore" I replied. "But we need to make sure if these buttons belong to jenny or not."

"I'm going to the police station to confirm something" Angga said.

"I'm coming!" Melya Pinta. Angga nodded allowing sign.

At night, the river is filled with stars reflected on the surface of the water. This river is called the river of stars. Ironically, this river became a dumping ground for murder victims from year to year.

Evania stood by the river, where she breathed her last. But he was not there to remember his death. Rather to meet a young man who was currently beside him.

The young man crouched on the river bank muttered indistinctly. Evania turned to look pity at the young man. He helped her many times to escape those who were chasing her. And as much as that, Evania prevented this young man from killing anyone again. But Evania knows, she can't stay like this forever.

Eleven years ago, Evania met this young man while picking up her sister. The young man had admired Evania for a long time. She fell in love with Evania's voice and the songs she sang. Embarrassed she gave Evania flowers, and Evania replied to her with a smile.

Only with that smile did he feel happy and for the sake of that smile would he do anything.

They became familiar from a short time. Moreover, the young man is also smart to create songs.

One day Evania asked the young man to make a song for her. The song will be sung at his beloved sister's birthday party.

In order to grant Evania's request the young man tried hard. But by the time the song became Evania had left.

The day before her birthday, something unexpected happened. Just as it was raining, Evania saw her sister standing by the river.

"Arsa!" yells. When Arsa turned to him, Arsa's feet slipped and fell into the river.

But Evania managed to grab her sister and raise her to the river bank.

"What are you doing in the river? That's dangerous? What if I can't help you in time?" He hugged his sister's body.

After that, he was unable to speak anymore. Her chest hurts. Something very sharp pierced through his skin and pierced him. A warm liquid started to seep into his clothes.

"You once said that my happiness is everything to you. So come for my happiness, dear brother!" whispered the sister in her brother's ear.

He squeezed his sister's uniform until the buttons came off, feeling unbearable pain near his death. He had not expected that death to come so quickly. Without giving her the time to cry or get angry.

Arsa pushed her brother's immobile body into the river. His cold gaze showed his determination on what he had done. He looked up at the sky with a satisfied smile.

"So never said that rain could sweep the trail of evil. Yeah, I think brother's right. That's why the sky helped me today."

The body was found the next day. The young man found the body of the girl he loved in an already lifeless state.

Police accused him of killing Evania. Someone set him up. But the young man knew who the real culprit was. He found a button in Evania's hand. The button belongs to the killer. And the killer was at that school.

Back to the present, now,

"Wait a minute, Evania! I will find your killer soon! I will immediately send the girl's body to your place so that your soul can calm down" the young man said.

"I never asked you to do this for me."

"I will question them one by one until they confess where the murderer is. I'll definitely find him."

Back in the present, Evania squatted down near the young man.

"Until when are you gonna do this? What do I have to do to stop you from dirtying your hands?"

Unfortunately the young man got up and passed through it like air.

While at her house Arsa continued to feel restless.how many times she paced back and forth while looking out the window. He knew that someone was always watching his house. Not to mention, Tom has not been found by the police and the hospital. Why can't the police arrest just one lunatic, complained Arsa irritated.

Where is he? Maybe the crazy guy could hide. Someone must have hidden it. But who?

Realizing that Tom can come anytime to his house to kill him, his life is not at ease. At first she thought that after she had made Tom her brother's killer, and sent him to prison then all the trouble would be solved.

Who knew Tom would escape from prison? who knows just because a button was found in the body of his brother so threatened his life. The uniform had him burned shortly after he killed his brother.

Tom is still searching for the killer. Tom commits multiple murders only to find one killer, himself.
