He hugged me tightly.
"I'm sorry mom! I shouldn't have left you, '" Isak I'm sorry.
"It's okay Mom. I'm already fine. This wound will heal soon. Isn't that right, Mom?"
Once again mother checked the wound on my face and nodded slowly without being able to say.
"Oh yeah where's your sister Celena? Is she okay?"
"I don't know. Maybe he's playing outside?"
"Is he not with you?"
"No, we had a fight then he left me locked in his room. Because of him, I've been through all this." Hearing mother's words instead of being concerned about my circumstances, she was surprised and worried because Celin wasn't with me.
"So you didn't see him coming out of the house?"
"I didn't see her coming out of the house, but think, Mom! He must have run away first once he knew the house was on fire without my concern. He's not a fool who's gonna stay in there." Hearing my words, she just froze.
After two hours, the fire was extinguished. The house had lost all parts of the roof, windows and doors, except for the wall that turned black due to the fire but remained standing firm until the end. The blowing wind blew away the ash from the rest of the burning.
The stuff inside the house was almost nothing left. Mom walked around feeling empty. I didn't try to go up to the second floor because the stairs became fragile.
My hand stretched out to touch the ashes, something flickered between the ashes, and I picked it up.
I was stunned by the thing that was in my palm. It was a star-shaped earring with a blue jewel in the center. The earrings are almost similar to mine. That's Celena's earring. But why is that thing here? Did Celena accidentally drop him? I think I can ask her when she gets home.
We were asked to stay in the shelter during our renovation. I asked mom to leave, but she insisted on waiting for Celena to come home. I don't want to force the mother who is currently worrying about Celena. So, I accompanied mom waiting for Celena. But until late at night Celena doesn't come back.
Mom and I searched where Celena might be, visited her classmates' houses, to the point that she called her homeroom teacher, but no one knows where Celena is now.
A missing person's report to the police station is only possible if Celena dag disappears for 24 hours. We were told to wait until tomorrow.
After wandering around looking for Celena, I took my mother to a temporary refuge. The place is very comfortable and clean. I asked mom for a break, but all night kept thinking about Celena.
Mother kept asking if Celena had eaten, if Celena had slept, why she didn't come home. I can't answer it. So I just shut up. Finally, I fell asleep because I was tired.
I suspect Celena is currently hiding. He did not go home for sure because he was afraid of being scolded for causing trouble until the fire occurred.
I told Dad about what happened. Dad said he'd be home soon. I didn't tell her Celena was missing, afraid that Dad was worried.
The next day I accompanied mom looking for Celena again.
