Chapter 109

"You're telling me?"

"I-I didn't mean to tell you. It's just that if you don't apologize, the boy will complain to his mother and come to you again." I was in a hurry to explain my point. "So it's better if you apologize first." I continued while taking my eyes off her, feeling uncomfortable being stared at by Celena like that.

Stupidhead! What did I tell him? He's scarier than those kids. Even though he defended me, he was basically the same as those bad boys.

"They're throwing balls at you, too, but you're not telling them to apologize." Celena Protest.

"No. They just threw me with a ball. That doesn't hurt. I'm fine," I said with a nervous laugh. Celena walked over to me. Spontaneously I retreated out of fear, but stuck because behind me the wall.

I raised my arm, trying to protect myself from him because I thought he was going to beat me like a kid. Butno. He just held my arm.

"Agh!" I screamed in pain, not because Celena hurt me but because she touched a bruise under my arm.

Because I was trying to protect myself when the boys threw me with a ball of the foot, as a result of which my arm was bruised by the throw of the ball.

"It doesn't look okay." Celena knew I was lying hiding my pain. I didn't think he'd be that thorough.

What Celena said was true. If I tell my parents, then the problem will be solved. But unfortunately, my parents are busy people every day. They had no time to listen to my complaints.

Even if I show this bruise to dad, instead of being angry at the kids, he might be more disappointed in his daughter. He would ask why the children were against me. Because children who are bullied are usually children who cannot be friends. Dad's gonna blame me for failing to make friends at school. He might say "try to be friends with your classmates, so they'll stop bothering you. What's such a trivial thing you can't? Don't bother your parents with useless things."

My father and mother were active people in the social environment. They would be embarrassed if their child could not get along like them. Even though the truth is I have a hard time making friends because of my timid nature.

That's why I chose to be quiet and not tell my parents this.

"The bread will be gone in two or three days. So it's okay. I don't need to tell my parents" I said, looking down gloomily. Celena let go of my hand and left without saying anything more. He must be disappointed in me too. He even bothered to help me. I do suck.

The next day when Celena came home from school rebuked me. He asked me to drive him to the snack shop that just opened. We often go home for a variety of reasons. I don't not know why Celena did it, so that the kids who bullied me yesterday wouldn't dare come to me again. After being with her for a few days, I came to understand that Celena is a child who does not like to show her kindness to others. That's why I pretended not to know. Eventually we became close and often went home together, until the fateful day.

I woke up staring around. As if still trapped in a dream I was like seeing the shadow of little Celena standing by the door while clucking at me and putting her hands on her waist.

"Daddy ! Your body is big! But just open this door you can't!"

I grinned bitterly remembering that it made my heart ache, because I realized my good friend Celena could never come back.
