Followed by the Chaotic Creature
Behind the Waterfall

By the time we arrived at the camp it was almost afternoon. I plopped down on the grass feeling my knees being twisted by the climb. The road we went through was quite uphill making the load on my back even heavier. I'm really tired.

But something surprised me. The two foolish children who followed me, why didn't they feel tired at all? Seeing them stay energetic to move to and fro while I didn't move even a little on the grass, it felt really irritated.

The other kids are busy with their own activities. Some boil instant noodles. There are also those who are building tents and tidying up luggage. While some organizers are busy discussing the opening event later.

I also need to build a tent. The sky looks dark cloudy. Looks like it's going to rain. If not immediately build a tent we can rain.

Separate women's and men's tents. One tent with 5 people. We were allowed to ask boys for help when we were building tents, because it was difficult for only women to do it. We also dug a trench around the tent so that rainwater would not enter.

After everything is done, the children are gathered. And the opening event began. The committee also explained what activities will be carried out.

The event was forced to end sooner as the rain spatter began to fall. Before rushing we all went into the tent to take shelter.

Lightning struck a few times. But that's not what woke me up. My sleeping position is the most. So the sounds outside the tent could be heard.

There were voices of people stepping around our tents. It's getting late. Everyone should have slept except for a few people on duty to keep watch outside.

But given the drizzle outside, shouldn't everyone be sheltering in a tent? So, who's outside our tent?

My sleep is not calm. I intended to open a little gap in the tent to peek out. But the lightning that split the darkness revealed a terrifying shadow behind the thin wall of the tent.

My body froze from head to toe.

What was that? From the shape of the shadow it was clearly not human. He stood up somewhat humphed. With a head that looks like an animal.

I swallowed my saliva and soaked my dry throat out of fear. I see my roommates are still asleep. I slowly laid my body down again without making a sound.

I was snuggled in a blanket. As much as possible does not cause sound. Imagining the creature standing near us and being separated by this thin tent cloth alone was enough to make me tremble.

The rain falls more. I don't hear any more noise than the rain out there. I don't know if that thing is still standing out there. As the lightning illuminated everything, I was relieved not to see the shadow again. I also unconsciously fell asleep.

When I woke up in the morning, I saw no footprints left behind. It may also be raining clean. I decided not to think about it anymore and enjoy the activities today.

The clean air of the mountains, and the chirping sound of the little bird changed my mood a little.

After breakfast, we continued our outbound activities. Some games and challenges that must be passed in groups. At first I was hesitant about getting a group, but Lisa and Dina helped me to get another member. Well, letting them one group with me is good too.

"All right! It is time to silence the mouths of those who dare to speak behind my back silently. I'll take all the victories today. And show me my true team skills" I said in a burning heart.

I am an active and agile child when it comes to outdoor games. So that the challenge given by the seniors did not make it difficult for me. Plus two freaks on my team who never ran out of stamina. The result we were superior to the other teams and dominated the victory.

And it wasn't in vain. I watched as the clear waters of the river fell beautifully like a soft curtain of water. The points of light reflected on the surface of the water are like jewels. And the sound of water flowing like music. For the sake of beauty like this, people are willing to climb far up to here.

The children immediately threw themselves once they saw the fresh river water. After that we played dirty with water and soil. We all play water now.

I was really amazed to see the waterfall in front of me. I stuck out my hand slowly and pierced through the thin curtain. The water is cold as ice. I could feel the strong and heavy water falling on my arm. And feel someone holding my hand.

Huh huh?

I felt someone grab my wrist and pull it. Spontaneously I pulled my hand back and pulled my hand out of the waterfall.

I rubbed my wrist. There's no trace. But it felt so real. Someone touched my hand from behind the waterfall. For a moment I saw a dark shadow behind the curtain of water.

I quickly slashed the falling water with my hand to see what was behind it. There was nothing but a stone wall.

What was that?

I retreated in fear away from the waterfall. Unknowingly my foot slipped from the rock I was standing on.

"Well!" I fell into the river in a sitting position.

"Ouch!" Sick ass.

I heard someone approaching me from behind, even though they were sneaking around the sound of water gurgling from their steps was clearly heard.

"My lady!" The two foolish children flushed all over my body with the water he was carrying.

"The right password!" dina said while laughing.

I was scared just now. I could be angry with them.

"You guys?!"

They tried to run away laughing as I chased after them.

I walked away from the waterfall and could only stare at the other children playing around safely.

I wonder, is it just me? Am I the only one who senses that there are other creatures that are close to the waterfall? Am I the only one being bullied by that thing? Does the creature know that I'm different from the rest of the children? Why can't I just relax like the other kids? Enjoy everything without having to be scared like now.

Tastes sliced. I am tired of my situation. Although I tried to accept my current situation, I could not deny that I wanted to be normal again like other children.
