Childhood Memories Part 2

"Just start school. You will have many friends later. Don't be sad anymore!" angga tried to encourage him.

Unfortunately, friends at his school first heard the issue about Melya.

"Hey, isn't that the rumored kid?"

"She said she could see ghosts?"

"Masa? Do ghosts exist?"

"If the ghost doesn't exist, it's a liar."

"Oh my goodness, the little ones have become liars. I don't like being friends with liars."

"But my mother said it was true she could see ghosts. His friends would have died after the accident."

"What's? You mean his dead friends are all ghosts and keep following him? If it's really scary."

"Yes, right. Imagine the time when only he survived? While everything is dead. Isn't that weird?"

"She's weird, lest we befriend her we'll die too."

"If we don't approach him to be safe. He's scary anyway. I think it's true he has a ghost friend."

"Thrattling. We're not just friends with him!"

"True, don't be friends with him!"

Melya heard everything her classmates said. But he did not want to argue to dispute it. The rumors are getting more and more debated. So Melya chose to be quiet, and let time sort it out.

He just has to hold it. Be patient with the actions of his classmates.

Once upon a time he lost a PR book that had to be collected that day. He knew that one of his classmates was hiding.

"Seek his ghost friend to find!"

"Or maybe it's his ghost friend who took it."

The sound of their laughter and their insinuating words became more and more piercing pain. How long will he have to hold all this?

But

I went home angry. He went straight into the room and slammed his bag on the floor. He ignored his mother's call.

"Geez! They're so mean to you!" The girl he had seen back then appeared again in front of him.

"Really, wicked! Let's get them back!"

The other children appeared in his room. Melya knew that they were all not human.

"Break the chair, make them fall while sitting down!"

"Drop them from the stairs! Aye! Push 'em!"

"Or lock them in the toilet! Lock them up to cry."

"haha!" the sound of their laughter filled her room.one of the little girls floated closer and held her face.

"Tell us! what do you want us to do to them?" the little girl said to Melya. As he said that, his mouth opened wide. No tongue or teeth. There was only an emptiness, as if there was a dark space inside his mouth that was ready to swallow him.

Melia Pushed the girl,

"Whisper you! Go!" melya shouted out her anger.

Melya dropped herself on the bed and cried. Melya did not know that her mother heard her from behind the bedroom door.

The mother was also confused as to how, she knew her daughter started talking strangely since coming home from the hospital. I spend more time in the room than playing outside as usual. Not to mention the gossip of the neighbors who need her chest tight. Vienna, loving her daughter, but unfortunately felt not enough to protect her daughter at this time.

Melya was reluctant to go to school. He was lazy to meet his friends.

By late afternoon, Melya had not yet returned home. Vienna, the mother was worried because Melya was leaving in a doldrums. Vienna asked her friends, but they said Melya didn't come to school.

Vienna is getting anxious. He met his niece Angga.

"Feet, please Auntie! Melya -"

"What's wrong with Melya?"

"Melya lost. They said Melya wasn't in school. Aunt has been looking for him everywhere. But not met." said Vienna panicked while sobbing.

"I'll look for him. Aunt just go home and wait at home."

Until the night Melya was still not found. Vienna has asked neighbors for help in finding it. Vienna continues to weep for her missing daughter and blames the self for not caring for her.

Meanwhile, Angga walked down a dark path without the slightest fear. Since the accident, it has had a unique body odor. Something fragrant stings. He kissed her all the time. Angga followed the scent trail faintly.

"Melai! You stay here with us. No one's gonna hurt you here. We'll take care of you."

"Why don't you go to my place. We're playing like we used to."

"We can't" they say, Angga found them.

"Wine! He has come! Let's go!" The crowd of children was hiding.

"Melai?" Call Angga. "What are you doing here. Your parents are looking for you."

"I'm playing with my friend."

"Nobody's here."

"There was. There's Nana, there's others too. They were here talking to me."

"Melya, your friend Nana and the others are gone. Those creatures just take their form to attract your attention. You don't know?"

"I knew. But how else. Only those who want to be friends with me. People are running away from me and don't want to be my friend. I cry every night because I lock myself in my room." Melya started crying.

Angga pulled him up and saw his face. Her cheeks were round and red like apples wet by her tears. Angga rubbed his cheeks.

"If they don't want to, I want to play with you. Don't cry anymore. From today I will accompany you to play. Just tell me what you want to play." Gentle Angga.

Melya stopped her crying. After a moment of silence he finally spoke, "I want to play a doll."

"Huh?" Angga was stunned to hear Melya's sudden request. "I don't play dolls."

"So she said she wanted to come with me?"

"Yes, but not a doll either. I'm a boy."

"Keep playing what? Robots playtime like boys."

"It's just my collection. I don't play it like a girl plays a doll. You've never played a doll before." Angga knew very well his sister who was a little tomboy, more playing outside the house than playing dolls like girls generally. She doesn't even have a doll collection except for one doll gift she received when she was two.

"I just want to play like any other girl." He knew his little sister just wanted to test him. Angga banged his forehead slowly to Melya's forehead while smiling. Seeing the little face of his sister who was crying now began to improve.

"Let's go home! Tomorrow I promise I'll keep you playing."

"Promise?"

"promises. As long as it's not a puppet."

They both laughed. Angga carried Melya on her back, because Melya said her legs hurt. Their mother greeted them with a hug as soon as they came home. That day Melya drowned in the warm embrace of her mother and the cry of affection.

Melya woke up from her long dream. He felt a drop of tears falling from the corner of his eyes running down his cheek. Did he cry while sleeping? In his dream he recalled the bitter memories of his childhood. There are also sweet memories of people who loved him all this time.

"Away awake?" Said Angga greeting from the doorway of the room. "Looky dream last night?"

"I think so." Say Melya while smiling.
