Followed by the Chaotic Creature
Two Requests

"How presumptuous! You have no right to speak!" the old grandfather told me.

"If this is a court then I have the right to defend myself and give an explanation. Unless this is just a game, then you can just punish me without having to go to trial."

"You don't have to hear your lies!" The old man interrupted me.

"How did Grandpa know I was lying? Just talk not yet. It's not grandpa who decides here anyway."

"Close your mouth! Intruders like you have no right to speak in our courts!"

"Then what's the point of the court if we end up being accused at will?!"

My mouth-fighting with the old man sparked his emotions. He lifted his staff over him and floated it towards me. I raised my hand to protect my head.

"Stop!" The guard standing behind me held back the swing of the cane before it hit me in the head with just one hand.

"In the court there must be no violence until the sentence is handed down. Anyone must obey it. Including you, the elder," said the guard again.

The old man lowered his wand. I'm stunned. Angga's right. The demon race has rules that everyone must obey. Unlike us, here no one dared to violate. Because they are aware that if they break the rules, they must bear severe punishment from their leader or king.

Besides, it turns out that the guard behind me is indeed not an ordinary matter of guard. On the one hand I can be calm at the moment because no one can hurt me, but on the other hand, it means I can't escape easily from this place if the conditions get worse.

At least here they do not directly punish intruders and hold a trial that means they are not arbitrary creatures. I can hope a little.

"This is our king who will decide whether you have the right to speak or not" the guard said. I looked at the king who was still unmoved from his throne even though he knew there was a commotion in front of him. His expression was not read by me.

"Speak!" He finally gave me permission. I told him everything from being separated from one of our friends until we got lost.

"Don't believe his words! This intruder almost ruined our sacred ceremony. Please the king punish him!" the old man followed the cheers of the audience.

"We don't mean to ruin anything. At that time we also wanted to leave but you arrested us instead" I argue.

"King, please reconsider. If we release them without punishment, our people will be taken lightly. He could have come back with more dangerous people who could have ruined our place. So I beg the law of this child so that no other creature will enter our territory at will!" said the old man again.

I who was carried away by the emotions pushed him until the old body staggered backwards.

"Hey grandfather! What's my fault with you? Did I bite my tail? Did I pluck your feathers? Why do you want me to be punished so much as if you were vengeful for me? I even just got to know you today?"

It's been clear since the old man wanted me to be punished. But what is the reason? Why does he hate me so much?

"Stop!" The guard behind me pulled me and asked me to calm down.

"Our king, if a lost lamb walks into your yard while you don't lock the fence will you still punish him? Though he did not intend to damage your yard, was it appropriate for you to take advantage of the lost sheep on the grounds of punishing him?" I said defend myself.

"I don't know what place this is? If only you put a warning board in front of us, we wouldn't want to come in. The people of our world do just that to guard their land. Maybe you can do it too. That way no more humans will enter your place without your permission."

My heart seemed to stop beating waiting in silence. I don't know what verdict will be handed to me.

"Ha-ha-ha!" The laughter of the King finally broke. I looked at him not understanding what he was laughing at. He got up from his throne and walked towards me.

Every step seemed to shake the ground.

"I never thought about putting up a warning board like that" he said.

"Well, it's useful in the human world. But, if we were to write such a warning, wouldn't humans laugh at him for taking it as a joke? Because they can't see us, they can't believe we exist. Only those with special eyes can see us, and you're one of them. I'm right, aren't I?"

"In exchange for the warning, we protected our place with a shield to keep our place hidden and no one could enter."

"But it seems like last night there was a 'sheep' who got lost without her realizing it had broken the shield fence we had installed."

The horned man was already standing right in front of me. Staring at me with her big eyes. It's twice my height.

"Son, you're not on trial for infiltrating and disrupting the ceremony, but you were brought here because you broke the shield that fenced this place. Do you have a defense for that?"

I paled. I don't think I'm gonna survive. "So that means I ruined it? How do I do it?" The question is like being on myself.

"Don't ask me that, because I want to know the answer too. You're definitely the only one who might destroy that shield to get in here, because it was created to dispel humans."

My head feels dizzy because of the tension. I can't dodge it because the king knows I have unique abilities. My eyes began to blur because of the tears.

"I'm sorry! I might have done it by accident." my voice sounded trembling in fear.

"Your age is young, you probably did it without you knowing it. I understand that your strength is not stable. But you still have to be punished."

"If I release you just for some unintentional reason, then all criminals will use that word to escape punishment."

"I knew. But can I ask you something?"

"What's that?"

"My friend is just an ordinary kid. He's not the same as me. So, can you let go? And also the wolf boy beside me, he had nothing to do with me. So please let him go, too" I asked.

The king was silent for a moment at my request, then said, "If I say I will grant your two wishes, do you not wish to change your request?"

I shake my head to refuse it.

"You don't want to ask for wealth or power like a lot of people here?"
