The Man Who Loves His Family

This restaurant is different from the rest. Tables and chairs in the middle of the garden. Small lights adorn the trees around the garden. The light is not too bright but medium.

I do not dislike the place, it's just that this restaurant is famous for its romantic atmosphere. And those who come here are usually husband and wife or lovers who want a date.

I feel awkward because me and Alvin are not that kind of couple.

"So, what do you want to talk about again?" I asked when we both sat down.

"Before I wanted to ask, did my brother come with you today?"

"No, I haven't spoken to him in a long time. Do you expect him to come?" Means back. I thought maybe that was the reason I ordered this place.

"Yes, slightly. Actually these three days I've been trying to accept it. Even if it's heavy."

We stopped talking as the waiter delivered his order. We started to eat it. Regardless of the atmosphere, the food here is delicious.

"I haven't told my dad. But I decided to look for my brother again." Alvin. I'm staring. Has she not given up her brother yet?

"At least I want to bury him properly. That's why I have to find my brother's body." Further.

"Therefore I want you to talk to my brother again. And ask him where we can find his body."

"If you think I can call your sister's spirit, then you're wrong. I can't do it." My answer. He looks disappointed.

"I can only speak if they approach me. In your brother's case he's the one who came to me first. We accidentally met." My next.

"Didn't she say anything to you. About death. Or leave a message for her family?" Ask.

"No, the last time I spoke to him was when he asked me to deliver a message to his mother after he disappeared. It could be his last wish before he died."

"Then he should have stayed. I haven't received the message." Alvin.

"You can help tell your mother."

"Can't." she replied, she paused for a moment before continuing, "My mother died the same day my sister disappeared. That's why he can't pick her up."

"What?!" I'm appalled.

The person who sent the message died. The person who should have received the message also died. How then? Is this world too vast that this mother and child cannot meet?

True said Alvin, if the message is not up then there is no reason Ello disappeared. So why doesn't he call me anymore?

We ended our dinner with questions in our heads.

"Before you go home can you stop by my house for a minute?" Pinta Alvin

"Huh?" I looked at him for the purpose of his words.

"Don't misunderstand me. I want you to see if there might be my brother there. Because I didn't see it. And I'd like to introduce you to my father." Alvin explained.

I finally agreed to visit her home for a while. The house is simpler now than before. Because the one who lives in this house is also only the two of them, father and son.

I checked it carefully. But there's no trace of Ello there. The house is also clean of other delicate creatures. Though with the state of their families, it could be fishing for subtle creatures to come and disturb.

"Son!" A hoarse and heavy voice called out, yet warm and friendly. I looked towards that voice.

I'm stunned. An old man was sitting in a wheelchair, and behind him was a young woman in a white uniform, who looked like her nurse.

"Father!" Alvin approached his father. The man in front of me was probably no more than 50 years old, but his mental distress and illness made him look older than he should have been. Despite the many wrinkles here and there, his face still left traces of the good looks of his youth. He looks like Alvin.

"Pa, let me introduce you, this is Melya. Old friend Ello." Alvin introduced me to his father.

I walked closer to him. "Good night, um. I hope my arrival doesn't disturb your rest." My broom.

"Absolutely not." Speaks kindly. He took my hand and held it. Hands that are wrinkled and rough but full of warmth. "It's good to see you, my son. Come visit here often."

After that, the nurse took him back to the room.

Usually the more successful a person's career is, the further away he is from his family. But it was the opposite. From the touch of her hand, I realized how much she worked hard and how much she loved her family.

"My father fell ill after the departure of my mother and my brother. Do you think my father is weak?" Alvin said after his father went into the room.

"Is that what people around you are saying about your father?" My toot.

"In my eyes he's a great man. He had struggled with the pain he had suffered. The only thing keeping him alive was his youngest child. Grateful that he still has you in his life." My next.

Alvin smiled, "I know, that's why I never thought of leaving him."

Alvin also told me that while his father's company was held by his uncle. Once he graduates college Alvin will take full responsibility. It just so happens that he's in the semester at the end of this year.

"Oh yeah, there's one to ask. How did your brother disappear?"

"Back from kindergarten, my sister was usually picked up by my mother. But that day my mother died in an accident, and couldn't pick her up. So there's another party that's using the incident to kidnap my brother."

"After chasing her captor for two days, we finally managed to catch her. Unfortunately, my brother is no longer with them. They said my brother managed to escape and run into the forest. When they stopped by a village."

"The forest??" I'm shocked. Instantly my mind recalled the forest that Ello had shown me last time.

Is his body there? Is that what he wanted to show me back then?

"Yes, he said the forest was notoriously haunted. We've deployed all the search teams to the psychics, but no one has managed to find it. Until we finally gave up exploring the forest."

"I think the kidnappers lied to us. Maybe those people took my brother to another place and hid him" Alvin said

"Then they will ask you for ransom again. If until now they hadn't done it means your brother wasn't with them anymore." I said contend. Alvin agreed.

The night was getting late, Alvin drove me to the front of the boarding house. I went into my room. After taking a shower I lay down on the bed and looked up

My encounter with Alvin and his father made me want to help the family, but how? Now I wish Ello would call me. Or appear before me so I can talk and question him about what happened to him.

Suddenly my phone rang.

brother Angga? Why is he calling these nights? What the hell's going on?
