Angga POV
I've been trying to solve this serial murder case for almost a week. Sandy and Laila have been working hard, but you haven't found a shadow about the culprit yet.
You deploy several members of the organization to patrol and watch for vulnerable spots targeted by the perpetrators of the murder. We managed to prevent new cases from appearing. But we can't keep going like this. The culprit must be arrested immediately.
The police investigation has not yet yielded any results. The three of us checked the archives in the organization. Maybe there was another clue that was missed.
From the files that we accidentally found we managed to find a similar case that happened eleven years and nine years ago.
Nine years ago the culprit was arrested. But the first case closed too quickly and was considered a common suicide case.
In the case that occurred eleven years ago, the victim was a vocalist who was climbing popularity, and a student from a music school. All the songs he sang were his own creation. He was the first of two children of the city's musician family.
The victim's body was found floating in a river with a puncture wound in the heart. The wound was fatal enough that the victim died shortly after the stabbing.
The case was closed as a suicide after two years of investigation. The case was strangely closed and not made public.
Unlike the case of nine years ago. Although the victim was both female, the injuries found on the body of the victim were very different. The first case of a puncture wound was only one at a vital point and was pierced from the front. The second case that occurred nine years ago is exactly the same as the current case.
The victim was stabbed in the back, possibly while trying to escape the perpetrator. The puncture wound was more than one and it was brutally done. Although not directly hit the vital point, but with many stab wounds, the victim eventually died of blood loss.
The first case is done by a person who is aware and knows the ins and outs of the human body is the second case and the present case, only a mentally ill person is able to do it.
Sandy and I decided to pay a visit to the victim's home in the first case. We met his little sister who happens to be our school alumnus too, Arsa.
He welcomed our arrival. To her surprise she found out about our organization, and this isn't the first time people from the organization have visited her.
"I know about your organization from my brother who works in that organization."
Hearing that statement, we were both shocked, so the first victim was a member of our organization?
"So, there aren't many stories about his work or about your organization. He's just saying in this town there's an organization that deals with supernatural things. And he's one of his members. I don't really understand because I don't have eyes like a big brother who can see ghosts or spirits."
"A few days before his death, he often went home at night, and sometimes did not come home. It seems like he's handling a pretty complicated case. Brother didn't say anything, so I don't know how to help him."
"The night before his death he did not return. I don't think it's strange because he does that often. I didn't expect I'd find my brother in a lifeless state anymore" he told us. He cried barely to continue his story.
"Even now I'm still looking after me from afar, even though I can't see it."
"I'm sorry we made Arsa tell her what was sad."
"The police closed the case as a case of suicide. Does brother arsa believe?"
"Actually Evania's sister was indeed murdered. Police managed to catch the culprit two years later along with the disclosure of a serial case that occurred that year. The culprit was one of the stalkers who had been watching over brother. He's getting mad after brother's death."
"Why then was the case closed as a case of suicide?" my question is not to understand.
"The organization that requested it. I don't really understand why, but since the culprit got caught I don't think it's a problem anymore."
The organization that requested it? What else do they cover from us? I never believed in adults!
"I'll find out later" whispered Sandy. I'm nodding.
"Do you know of any recent cases that have happened to our schoolgirls?" my many.
"Yes, the case is the same as it was nine years ago. The culprit is probably the same. I heard the culprit managed to escape from the hospital. The police and the hospital were hunting him. But until now they haven't managed to find any trace of him."
So it can be concluded that the police already know the identity of the perpetrator of the murder and are hunting him. In the near future, the case can be resolved. Why do I feel unsettled? Why would the organization cover up the case as a suicide?
On the way back home I met two of our colleagues who were on patrol.
"Female, we saw your sister with a boy and a girl. He's out at night. And live near the site of the old building. Do you know this?"
"No. He didn't tell me. Thanks for telling me."
Melya, what else is he doing? He was always in trouble when I wasn't watching him. Lately I was busy with this murder case so I did not have time to pay attention to it. I have to ask her as soon as I get home.
"It looks like your sister has a hobby of getting into trouble. If it continues like this sooner or later the organization will find it and recruit it" said Sandy who also heard the report of the two people to me.
"I know you're anxious but you can't go home now. There's an impromptu meeting that we have to attend" he continued.
Hearing that I can only complain of being upset. The meeting lasted until night. I stopped by Melya's house to meet her, but her mother said she was staying at Eli's house. I went to Eli's house. That's where I saw the two of them riding in a car and coming with a stranger.
I'm breathless! I should have been suspicious when I heard from mom she came to my room and brought my notebook. He must be in trouble again. Then who's that guy?
There's no way I'm going after that car. I met the member who reported to me this afternoon.
"Do you remember where you saw my sister yesterday? Please show me the way!"
Thanks to their help I managed to locate the three of them. I don't know why I'm so angry. I called out to Melya without holding back my emotions at all.
