Faran and his parents arrived at Ganjar's residence when Aruna was still not home from the hospital. Faran was a little surprised because the house looked crowded. He immediately chatted with all his guests Ganjar, until finally after five minutes he realized that his wife was not seen. “Where's aruna?” ask the man while giving a glance.
“Oh yes, earlier, he went to the hospital. Would-be he picked you up to the airport,” Miranti said. “Shill, try your phone, tell Faran you're home.”
“He didn't know I was coming today, Bund.” Faran then looked at his parents. “I mean I want to give him a surprise.”
Everyone was speechless looking at Faran's worried face, he was afraid of it happening like that time.
“She's the same Yayan kok, Ran,” Miranti said.
“Bund, number is off,” Ashilla said.
“Duh, the son of habit,” snorted Miranti. “Try you phone Yayan.”
Ashilla sighed. He wanted to refuse, but seeing the fatigue mixed with worry on Faran's face made him feel pity. So he immediately dialed Yayan's number.
“Pak Yayan where?” ask Ashilla after her call was answered.
“Still in hospital.”
“Take lab results only long?”
“Pak Yayan does not know, Non,” replied Yayan. “From yesterday, Non Aruna is not out yet.”
“Hah?” Ashilla panicked and she quickly left the living room. That made Faran even more worried. The man immediately followed her. “I don't want to know, Mr. Yayan looking inside and love his HP to him, Mr. Yayan knows we are panicking because his number can not be contacted.”
“Good, Non."
"Why, Shill?" ask Faran.
Ashilla gasped, she then turned around.
"Why?"
"Aruna is still chanting."
"He went out in the afternoon, didn't he? It's almost maghrib."
"Yes," said Ashilla quietly. He then brought his phone back to his ear. "Where, sir?" ask him to Yayan.
"Not seen, Non."
"Astaghfirullah." Ashilla was getting upset.
Faran flicked his chin at Ashilla. But the woman shook her head.
"I must follow,” said Faran.
“Make what?” ask Ashilla. “Tungga is here, he is the same Mr. Yayan kok.”
“But I can't sit quietly waiting for him, Shill.”
“You don't forget, he's an adult, Ran.” Sometimes Ashilla calls Faran that way, but sometimes she follows Aruna calling her ‘Mas’.
Faran took a breath. “But, if anything happens to him how?”
“Yakin aja, he will not why-why.”
“Why can you be sure, is it because he is with Mr Yayan?”
Faran thought he couldn't just trust Ashilla or Yayan, he had to see for himself, he had to know what Aruna was doing in the hospital all this time.
“Not. Because he is not a child anymore,” Ashilla said.
Faran's heart was piercing. “I'm worried doesn't mean I consider him a child.” Faran then left Ashilla.
“Bund, borrow a car,” says Faran.
“Where are you?” ask Miranti worriedly.
“Nyulos Aruna.”
“He's in the same hospital Mr. Yayan, relax aja.”
“Why did it get this long? I'm afraid something's happened to her, Bund.”
Miranti was silent for a few seconds.
“Which key, Bund?”
“Please wait until word from Yayan. Afraid you're leaving, Aruna's coming home.”
“Mother you are right,” said Ayu her mother Faran.
“But, Bu ...” Faran sighed.
“You just wait. I know you're worried, but you also just came.”
Everyone was silent looking at Mila, Ashilla and Miranti felt that this time Mila was outrageous. Mila will not know that Faran is like that, especially before Aruna was sick.
“Ben, home yuk ah, tomorrow we go directly to the hotel aja,” take Mila.
Ben nodded. That afternoon they were ready to go home and say goodbye. While Sam and his wife had gone home first because their youngest son was fussy, while his eldest son remained here with Mila.
Miranti led her guests forward. “I'm sorry for the inconvenience,” Miranti said to Mila and Ben.
“Nothing, Mir. I've always watched soap operas kok,” kekeh Mila.
Miranti smiled as she shook her head.
“Marissa is still the same Edgar?” ask Miranti.
“Let's go, ask Edgar anterin to come home. Tell me if Rega is fussy.” Mila chuckles. “Ordinary little boy becomes victim.”
Miranti bows. “What kind of grandma sacrificed this cute grandson.” Miranti pinched the cheek of her eldest son Sam who was the same age as Asa. “Tomorrow to see you again. Tos first.” Miranti showed her palm to the boy called Rega.
Rega smacked his palm on Miranti's palm.
“Aduh.” Miranti laughing. He then straightened his body. “Mil, thanks yes.”
“Sama-sama. Udah ah, we go home yes.”
Miranti nodded and Mila hugged him at a glance.
“Bye, Mir,” says Ben.
“Bye. Careful.”
Mila waved her hand as well as Miranti. After his guest left, he went back inside.
Faran looked glum and it made Ayu worried.
“No news yet?” ask Miranti.
Faran.
“Mother knows you're worried, but, don't overdo it either. You, ‘kan know, Work makes Aruna a woman who can not stay at home for long. It's natural he hasn't come back until recently, maybe met an old friend there,” Miranti said.
That was what Faran feared the most, he was afraid that Aruna would meet Iyash. “Supposed she permission first same me, Bund, me, ‘kan her husband.”
“Everyone here knows that you are her husband,” Ashilla said.
Faran looked at Ashilla. Everyone here does know she's Aruna's husband, but the man Aruna met a few days ago probably doesn't know that Aruna is married.
“You forgot that Aruna used to go alone, maybe even he never had permission before,” added Ashilla.
Immediately Faran left the living room and Ashilla soon followed him.
“Ran, wait.”
Faran stood in front of the room door then turned around.
“So, you're afraid Aruna met her ex?”
Faran nodded and quickly looked.
“You've met him, ‘kan? You still think Aruna loves her? Are you afraid he's back? Is that why you're worried about this? You don't allow Aruna to go alone in Jakarta, whereas you never worry when she's in Germany.”
Faran sighed. “I know that the shipment that Aruna received was from her ex.”
“You opened it?” accuse Ashilla.
“I didn't sleep last night, I read diary books and looked at all their photos. I finally found out, the person I met at the restaurant was him. The one who came to this house was him. And I know he's coming and looking for Aruna.”
Ashilla termangu's. “What else do you know?”
“When I flew to Bali, Aruna went to see her.”
“Sok knows,” snorted Ashilla, even though she was surprised because Faran knew everything.
Faran frowned. “Don't pretend, I'm sure you know too.”
Ashilla.
“Aruna never hid anything, I know when she lied.”
“Ya, but that doesn't mean he went with Iyash, ‘kan?”
“You have answered.”
Ashilla's heart is beating. Behind Faran's calm face and demeanor, there was apparently an obsession as great as Iyash's.
Faran quickly went into the room and closed the door, while Ashilla was still surprised to find that Faran knew what was really going on.
