Behind The Lies

Behind The Lies
The Wounds That Have Spread

“Opa is hard, but never raise you with lies. Honest life is more bitter, more painful, but that will strengthen you,” added Ganjar.

Aruna bowed and slowly retreated before showing the face in front of her grandfather. “I can't, Mas,” he said softly.

“Honey, you have to prove that you are not like Opa said.”

“But, Opa insult dad.”

“That he despised was his son.”

“What is it worth for a father to insult his son?” lirih Aruna released Faran's hand, then ran out of the hospital. Suddenly, someone accidentally hit him.

Aruna stared at the woman for a few seconds.

“Honey,” call Faran from behind.

Aruna turned. “Mas view this woman.” He pointed at the woman who had hit him. “I never forget her face, even from a single photo, but I'm sure she doesn't know how I grew up and believes that the woman who gave birth to me never wanted me.”

Faran frowned at Aruna who was so angry and disappointed at not getting sorry from the woman who had just hit her. Though Aruna's anger was not caused by that, but because the woman who had just hit him was Dewi, her own birth mother.

While the Goddess was flabbergasted staring at Aruna.

Aruna quickly looked at the Goddess with anger and disappointed tears welling up at both corners of her eyes.

The goddess dropped the grief, her hands outstretched and was about to grab Aruna's red cheeks. However, Aruna brushed it off. “Forget. You are not my mother.”

Aruna ran away from the hospital.

“Im sorry my wife.” Faran clenched both of his hands in front of the Goddess.

Goddesses tingled. He was already very sure that the woman he met at the Ganjar house at that time was Aruna.

“Honey,” call Faran while continuing to chase and Goddess follows behind them.

Aruna stopped her steps and turned around. Faran quickly held her into a hug. Aruna was crying. Right now all he had was indeed only Faran. He felt appreciated when he was with Faran. He never felt inferior because Faran always supported his decision. With Faran he found the family he had always wanted.

“Bring me away, Mas. Take me away,” pinta Aruna shriek.

“Iya, Darling.”

Faran's chest also actually hurts to see Aruna like this. Ganjar's words are also very outrageous, why Ganjar can behave like that, why should he distinguish Aruna just because it is not big and grows in his environment?

“I'm not strong, Mas,” isak Aruna. “I'm not strong.”

Faran nodded. He then released a hug and clasped both of Aruna's cheeks. “We'll be home.”

“Ke hotel. Please.”

“Iya,” replied Faran without arguing. He knows that Aruna is not comfortable coming home to Ganjar tonight, so he will not force her. He knew Aruna was just looking for calmness for her heart and herself.

“Wait,” call Goddess from behind.

Faran and Aruna stopped their steps. The goddess ran and stood before them.

“Nak, please forgive mom.”

“Yes, Mom, it's okay that we should apologize.” Faran then looked at Aruna. “Darling, pity this mother, you forgive me, after all she was accidentally, ‘kan?”

Aruna was stunned, apparently Faran did not understand the expression of his feelings a moment ago.

Aruna nodded and stepped back.

“Aruna.”

Aruna stopped, and Faran was surprised that she knew his wife's name.  The goddess stood in front of Aruna. “This Mother. Mother who left you with father. I'm sorry for letting you suffer I thought things wouldn't be like this.”

Aruna fell down and dropped her tears. “Sorry it is too late because this wound has spread too much,” said Aruna.

Faran. He had only realized Aruna's previous sentence when he asked her to look at the Goddess.

The goddess dropped her knees in front of Aruna. “What should I do so that you will forgive me and hear all the truth.”

Both Aruna's hands clenched firmly, she hated when anyone knelt in front of her. Faran held onto both of the Goddess's shoulders and helped her stand up. He knew that Aruna was not in control right now.

All who were there looked in wonder at them. From a distance Adisty ran. “Mama,” shouted the woman.

The goddess rose up. “Honey, this is your sister. She's Mama's son from her previous husband,” Dewi told Adisty.

Adisty. He then shook his head. “Mama's wrong person, Ma. Let's go home.”

Aruna's chest is getting sicker because he once lived vacillating. Aruna hates Adisty for everything she did in the past.

“Come, Mas,” invite Aruna while pulling Faran's hand. Aruna's fist was strong and Faran knew that Aruna was very angry.

“Loh, Mom? Already?” yayan asked as they got to the front of the car.

“Mm, Sir go home aja,” said Faran.

“Non Aruna is sick again?”

Faran nodded. “But, this time go home to hotel.”

“Why? Earlier Bi Sumi phone said it had cooked a lot.”

“No one asked,” replied Aruna.

“Non Ashilla who decays, Non,” says Yayan.

“I don't care, just stay with us to the hotel now!”

“Good, Non.” Yayan quickly walked around and around the car, but when he was about to open the car door, he saw Dewi running towards them while calling Aruna's name.

“Mbak Goddess?” yayan said surprised. He then looked at Aruna who immediately got into the car, while Faran immediately nodded looking at Yayan.

“Yayan, He's my son, ‘kan?” ask the Goddess from a distance. “Please tell me everything the same Aruna, Yan. I beg.”

Faran looked at Yayan who was in tears over this incident.

“Pak Yayan,” call Aruna from the inside. “Quick!” He then looked at Faran. “Mas, you want to stay there?”

Faran got into the car. However, his feelings raged. He's still digesting this incident. What did she miss, or what story did Aruna not tell her? What wounds make Aruna until it can be like this, does he think that Aruna has made peace with her past, then why now, the past is still like an enemy for Aruna?

The goddess tapped on the windshield of the car window right next to where Faran sat . Faran was about to open the window, but Aruna held him back.

Faran had to abandon his intentions. He is not a husband afraid of wife, but he is a husband who is too affectionate wife, so will grant and give anything to his wife, even if it has to be months though.

“Street, Sir,” pinta Faran slowly. He looked at Aruna. “Sini, Darling.” He grabbed Aruna's shoulder and leaned on her shoulder. “If you have anything you want to say, just reveal it, whatever it is.”

Aruna just wanted to cry. After all, all the words that had stuck up he had revealed along with his anger. She continued to cry until hoarse and tight on the chest.

Yayan could only stare at him from the rearview of the car. The mist in his eyes slowly fell down on his cheeks. And this time even Faran was crying too.
