Iyash pulls Marissa's hand and invites her out of Grandpa's house. Marissa herself felt that Iyash's actions were inhumane, his grip was exactly like that of a master who was afraid that his pet would come off. Arriving outside, she let go of Marissa's little hand.
Marissa looked at her reddened hands. Actually Iyash was aware of his actions towards Marissa. He was not unable to be gentle, he simply did not want to make any woman misunderstand him. He was afraid that events like Adisty and Nadine would repeat themselves. He also did not want to repeat the same thing as him with Aruna. He just wanted something different in his life.
“You said that I kicked you out of the hospital?” ask Iyash.
“Iya, ‘kan?” Marissa instead asked back like she was looking for the truth that Iyash actually did not expel her at all, only Iyash's sentence was too frontal so Marissa interpreted it so.
Getting such a gaze from Marissa, Iyash immediately dodged and left.
“Sister Iyash asked me to go.” Sister Marissa. However, Iyash continued walking and left her, though Marissa kept calling out to him.
Finally Marissa could only grumble. He had little trouble walking among the small rocks some of which were slippery and mossy. Indeed, not all roads there on the asphalt, only the big roads are smooth, the rest of the residents want to maintain the condition of the village so as not to change from year to year. The stones collected from the river are laid out on the road.
While the sky looks darker because soon adzan maghrib reverberate.
Suddenly, Marissa's legs were restrained. He was flabbergasted to see Edgar's presence in front of him. While Iyash immediately turned his head when the man just passed by.
Without a word, Edgar immediately held Marissa into his arms. The uneasiness that was holding him was now detached from his heart.
While Iyash could only watch this with his two eyes. There was a burning turmoil behind her chest when she found out that Marissa's goal was over here and that maybe tomorrow she'll be home with Edgar.
Slowly Edgar broke his embrace.
“You know I'm here?” ask Edgar.
Marissa nodded. “I track Sister number.”
This time Edgar smiled. Although she knew Marissa must have sent her mother to come here.
“Have Finished removing the shade?” ask Iyash.
Edgar turned his head and he was stunned to stare at the man he had seen at Ashilla's wedding, only that he had forgotten to ever see Iyash there.
“Marissa, in. I have to rest.”
“Not to be heard, it should be him who enters, ‘kan him who wants to rest,” kekeh Marissa. “Come, Brother.”
“You know family here?” ask Edgar.
“Marissa, fast,” Invite Iyash.
Marissa snorts. Since then Iyash just kept accelerating himself to this for it. This time let him play a role.
“Kak Iyash first. I want to talk to Brother Edgar first.”
“Iyash?” ask Edgar.
Marissa. He probably didn't know Edgar had never known Iyash. While Iyash himself knew only when his mother said that the father had a son from Miranti.
“Kak Iyash's–” Uncompleted Marissa introduced Iyash to Edgar, Iyash chose to leave because he did not want to be involved further, even though Edgar was his brother.
Marissa.
Iyash should be happy that Edgar is coming home, but not because of him. No matter what Aruna would think, most importantly the woman's wish was realized.
“Yes we've entered, Brother,” take Marissa.
Edgar sculpting.
“Kak,” call Marissa. “Why?”
“What is he son–” Edgar paused his question. He was confused about what to put in front of his father's name.
“Om Hasa, yes. He's the family's grandson here,” Marissa replied lightly. This was too much for Edgar.
Marissa took a breath. “Kak, I heard Brother is doing research for his new novel? Great to this extent.”
Edgar smiled slightly. She wanted to tell Marissa everything, but she thought it was a shame. Being a child born from an illegitimate relationship is a disgrace.
“Kak?”
“Iya. Come in.” Edgar gave up his negative thoughts. He quickly went inside with Marissa.
“Nak, come to Surau,” with Juragan Hartanto.
“Iya, Cake,” replied Edgar.
Marissa stared at the two men.
“Udah, yok to yok mosque,” invite the woman to Iyash and Edgar while embracing her second arm. “Shalatnya keburu begins. Fast.”
Iyash went out first, while Edgar was still standing next to Marissa. Like there was something he wanted to say.
“Kak?”
“Iya.” Edgar was soon out to follow Iyash and Juragan Hartanto to the mosque.
Marissa smiled at the door. He stared at Edgar's back until the man's shadow disappeared from sight.
“Marissa,” call Granny Alma.
Marissa looked. “Iya, Grandma?”
“Come Granny delivery to room.”
The lemon-flavored drink-loving woman nodded. He then walked over to the sofa and picked up his backpack, he followed Grandma Alma.
Grandma Alma arrived in front of a room. “You can sleep in Rania's room. Coincidentally two days he did not come home,” he said as he opened the door.
“Where, Grandma?”
“To his father's house.”
“Oh. Grandma Grandson?”
“He's Grandma's nephew. It just so happened that his mother, grandparents were dead and his father remarried, so Grandma asked him to stay here.”
“Oh.”
“Come in.”
Marissa nodded and followed Grandma Alma into the room.
“Next to Iyash's room, but since he's rarely here, it's Edgar, Grandma asked him to make this room.”
Marissa smiled.
“Other rooms exist, but no one cleans.”
Marissa smiled again.
“Udah ah. Grandma so much to say, ‘kan want to pray.” Alma's grandmother rubbed Marissa's back.
“Nek,” call Marissa hold off Granny Alma's footsteps.
“Then Brother Iyash stayed here?”
“Iya. Sma Time. Before finally moving and living eight years in Spain.”
“Eight years?”
Grandma Alma nodded.
“So, she's only two years old in Indonesia.”
“After graduating S2, two years she worked there as a professional,” said Granny Alma proudly. Of course, this was Iyash's greatest achievement. “Maybe because of his busyness also he has not got a wife candidate.”
Marissa smiled.
“By the way you know Edgar?”
Marissa nodded. “It just so happens that Brother Edgar is his nephew Om Ben, her husband's sister Mama.”
“Oh so. The world is narrow. So, Iyash knows?” as well
“I guess not, Grandma.”
“Nothing, later Iyash have a lot of time to chat because they will sleep one room.”
Marissa smiled. If he could tell Grandma Alma that Edgar is also Grandma Alma's granddaughter. Edgar was also entitled to his rights as a child and as a grandson of the family he currently resides in.
