Behind The Lies

Behind The Lies
How to Follow : Communicate Healthily with the Past

The man in black was sitting on the sofa right in front of Miranti. All were asked to gather in the living room to listen to the will to be read by the late lawyer Ganjar.

“Sorry before, Mom. This is said by Mr, if–”

“Shortly, Sir,” cut Miranti. “Can not be delayed first until my son comes home?”

“Father asked after he died, this should be soon–”

“My son is definitely home.” Miranti again cut the sentence of the lawyer. “Give us three days time, I want my child present here.”

Ashilla, Aruna and the others seemed silent not daring to comment. They realize that they are only grandchildren, not entitled to anything for the grandfather's property.

All are stuck at this point. Both Aruna, Ashilla and everyone in the house did not dare to say anything more. Maybe the problem about Ganjar is over. They can continue their lives, including Aruna. But it's not that easy. Ganjar is not the only cause of all the problems they face. Life will continue and problems will continue to exist.

Hostility with the Goddess may be difficult to get a bright spot until death picks up. However, being united was too late, at least they had tried. The secret of Ganjar's hatred of the Goddess was buried along with his disappearance.

“If Mommy allows, I will go to Surabaya to catch up with Kak Edgar,” said Ashilla.

Aruna knew Ashilla just wanted this matter to be resolved quickly. Just like her, Ashilla wanted to live quietly.

Revenge and the past are not good to keep in mind because it will interfere with their current lives, love stories in the past will not be able to reach back.

Time feels short just to deal with problems that have no end.

“You can go if Aruna leaves,” says Miranti.

“Sorry, Bund. I'm not letting Aruna go. It's too delicate for her pregnancy. I don't want to take any chances,” said Faran worriedly.

Aruna looked at her husband.

“That means Mother forbid me to go,” snorted Ashilla while lowering shoulders. “Then just wait until Brother Edgar comes home.”

Space clasped Ashilla's hand. Just like Faran, by marrying Ashilla he also married all the family matters of the woman. He thought after marriage everything would be fine.

“I excuse me.” Aruna got up and sauntered away leaving the living room towards the backyard. He doesn't know that Faran is following him.

Aruna willingly buries all her feelings and takes away her embarrassment by contacting Iyash for the man's help.

The phone connection stopped and Aruna tried again. This time Iyash answered his call.

“Hai. Sorry to interrupt,” said Aruna slowly.

The thump behind Iyash's chest was still the same as it used to be.

“Sorry I just came and contacted you in time of need, but I really need your help.”

“Say, whatever it is I will try to help you.”

For Iyash there is no point in holding back for the past. All you have to do is be happy for her love.

Aruna took a breath and let it out slowly. “My sister, her son Bunda Miranti. He went to Surabaya and until now has not returned home.”

“Terus?”

Aruna took a breath again, as if she was trying to muffle the wound that was about to go out behind the chest. Like someone was knocking on his chest and trying to get out. “She is in your father's hometown.”

“Hah?” iyash's screeches made Aruna's ears ring. “Create what she's there.”

“I don't know and I'm also confused as to why he could get that address.”

“I'll be there,” says Iyash fast.

Aruna nodded. “If you meet him, please ask him to come home. Mother destroyed. Only Brother Edgar can make Mother calm.” He wiped away the tears that had fallen across both of his cheeks.

From far away Faran saw the sadness and heard Aruna's raucous voice. Although he did not know for sure who the person Aruna contacted, but he was quite sure that the person was the man Ashilla had discussed earlier.

“Still, Yash. I owe you a lot.”

Faran's heart was piercing. He already guessed this.

“Neither need to discuss. Whatever is my father's business will be my business.”

“Means?”

Aruna nodded. What Iyash said was exactly what Miranti said.

“Sorry involving you. I don't know who to ask for help.”

Aruna probably doesn't know that there's a smile every time she says that. Iyash thought after marrying Aruna would not ask for help from other men including himself.

“I could have gone, but–”

“People are afraid something will happen with your pregnancy,” Iyash said.

Both of Aruna's eyes were wide open. Where did the man know about his pregnancy?

“Congratulations yes, I will have a nephew,” kekeh Iyash bitter.

Aruna's heart is beating. He wiped his cheek that did not feel wet.

“My son will call you Om.”

Aruna did not know that Iyash was also sad for this. Although they let each other go, the heart cannot be lied to. For years Iyash survived for his feelings, hopefully with this healthy communication he can mengikhlaskan everything easily.

“Ya already then I'll be there now. I'll call you back later.”

“Yes, you be careful. Greetings to Grandma Alma.”

“Iya. Later I will tell you that you rise from the grave and send greetings.” Iyash chuckles. Aruna could hear the laughter again.

“Yash?”

“Iya?”

“Still.”

“Hm.”

 “Then I close the call.”

“Run.”

“Iya?”

“If one day I need your help, you–”

“I will definitely help you.”

Iyash smiled behind the phone he was holding. Same with Aruna. “Daah.”

“Daah.”

The phone disconnected after Aruna pressed the red button on her phone. He did not know that Faran had been behind him. As he turned around his smile instantly faded away.

“Mas?”

Faran. Since these two days he has lost Aruna's smile and now that Aruna is talking to Iyash, his wife looks better.

Faran immediately warmed his favorite woman. Instead of having a dispute with whom Aruna talked to cry, smile and even laugh. He even feared losing Aruna even for one night.

“Mas?” Aruna flabbergasted.

“I don't care who you ask for help, I just don't want to lose you for a second.”

“I'm not going anywhere, Mom. Even if you ask for it. I'll stay here, near you.” Aruna returned the husband's embrace.

Faran. “Do what I ask you to leave, while I'm afraid of losing you.”

Aruna smiled and got tighter back at the embrace. In the past, he was lucky to meet Iyash and now he is no less fortunate to meet and be able to live with Faran.

“I can't choose. I only accept what God has given me.”

Faran smiled.
