Ashilla and Asa were welcomed into the Space House. Actually Edgar had persuaded Asa not to come with Ashilla, however, the boy insisted on wanting to come with his mother. He did not think that Ashilla would not continue to pay attention to him because now Ashilla also had to pay attention to Space. Just one night Asa felt that Angkasa had captured the attention of her mother, but she was also not a toddler, although still a child, but she should have been able to be independent.
Since then Asa even deliberately wanted to be served, whereas in the house Ashilla also felt like a guest.
“Let's eat a lot,” said Laila while adding a side dish on top of Asa's plate. “Asa, if you need anything, ask for Bibi.”
Asa nodded.
“Sorry troublesome, Ma,” said Ashilla unkindly. To be honest Ashilla felt insecure, if only there were no Asa in her life, she would not feel inferior like this, even though the Space family did not dispute that, but she still felt inferior.
“You can cook, ‘kan, Shill?” ask Laila.
Ashilla smiled clumsyly. “Not too, but later I can learn, Ma.”
“Nothing, Mama also can not cook, after all it is not something that is mandatory for women, now men only a lot can cook.”
Ashilla smiled again.
“But, I want you to cook,” whispered Angkasa while tilting his body at his wife.
Ashilla did not reply, she only glanced at him at a glance.
“Sorry late,” said Daniel who just came, he then pulled the chair opposite directly to Ashilla's seat, so that the second accidentally berhirobok.
Ashilla quickly bowed while wetting her throat.
“I plan not to return to Kalimantan,” said Daniel while taking rice.
“Hah? Seriously?” Laila smiled broadly. “Mama is happy to hear it, so, your task is done?”
“Iya, Ma.”
“Wah, surprise,” says Angkasa.
Ashilla stared at her husband.
Erik himself just smiled in response.
“So, you are ready to join in the company?” ask Laila enthusiastically.
“I'm Army, Ma.”
“Indeed why? Soldiers can also be businessmen, ‘kan?”
Erik put his cutlery down. “Tasks in Kalimantan are done, and now you are assigned where?”
Daniel stared at his stepfather.
“Pa, as long as you have not retired, ‘kan, Daniel is still a country servant,” said Angkasa.
“Papa is just nanya,” said Erik in Angkasa.
“Iya, I know, Pa, but Daniel–”
“I haven't got a new assignment,” as of Daniel.
“Oh, then it's time you find a mate, so, later fitting get a new task, you already have a wife,” suggested Laila.
“I agree,” says Angkasa.
“I haven't found him, Ma,” Daniel said as he looked at Ashilla.
Ashilla was immediately bowed to hear Daniel say so.
Daniel turned his eyes to his mother. “He should know that I'm not running away from responsibility. I can be in charge.”
“Mama knows, but maybe she is also married.” Laila patted the back of her son's hand. “It's time you looked for a soul mate. What do you want?”
Daniel soaked his throat and looked back at Ashilla. “Like his wife Kak Angkasa.”
Space chuckled, but his laughter stopped as Ashilla coughed and his face flushed red. “Sayang.” He immediately gave Ashilla a glass of water.
“This you, make your sister's wife so nervous.” Laila smiled.
Daniel stared incessantly at Ashilla.
Ashilla held her own chest.
“You okay?” ask Space.
Ashilla shook her head. “I go to the bathroom first.” He then got up. “Excuse.”
“I inter?” Space is rising.
Everyone went back to eating. However, Erik was already unfeeling, he finally realized that there was something different from Daniel's gaze on Ashilla.
Until dinner is over, Ashilla doesn't return to the dining room. He locked himself in his room. Maybe he should have stayed at Ganjar's house, not here. He looked restless, his chest unceasingly rumbling.
“Your wife is not back?” ask Laila.
Space gives a view. “Iya. Asa, where is your mom?”
Asa raises her shoulders. “Let Asa search.” He's risen.
“No need, let Papa aja.” The sky got up and immediately left the dining table. Asa sat back down.
Space went straight to the room because she was so sure, Ashilla used the bathroom in her room. Slowly he knocked, then opened the door.
Ashilla gasps. He immediately turned his back on the door and pretended to be talking on the phone.
The sky approached and stood behind his wife.
“Yes, that's okay, thank you,” said Ashilla in front of the phone who actually had no call from anyone.
Ashilla kept the phone away from her ear, she then turned around and pretended to be coming back, but her steps were restrained. “You're here?” tanyanya.
“Old message, it turns out there is a phone.” Space smile.
Ashilla nodded. “From Aruna.” He then sat down on the edge of the bed. “She's already packing clothes for Asa school tomorrow.” Ashilla did not lie, that was what happened, only, Aruna did not call, but told him in a message.
“Oh so.” The sky sat next to his wife. “Let me take tomorrow.”
“No, no need. Let Mr. Yayan drive him here after dawn, all of you take Asa to school.”
“Away, Darling. Poor Mr. Yayan.”
“Nothing. Pak Yayan paid for it kok.”
“But, who paid your Opa.”
Ashilla termangu's.
“Ya is okay.” The sky drew his wife's hand and got up, but Ashilla sat down. “We continue eating.”
“I don't want to. I am not a laper.”
“But, you just ate a little.” The space sat back.
“Truely said Opa, not good hitchhiking. We'd better rent a house.”
Space frowned as Ashilla suddenly said so. “Papa Sama do not mind us here, anyways not good time directly rent a house while Papa wants us to stay here aja.”
“I don't feel at home.”
“You haven't had one night to stay here. Not feeling at home?”
Ashilla pensive. How can he tell Angkasa without offending the man, if in fact he does not feel comfortable if it has to be a roof with Daniel.
“What because Daniel said that?” guess Space. “Yeah, honey, he's just kidding.”
Ashilla shook her head. Honestly he was confused as to what to say, which he clearly felt that what Daniel said was so serious.
“Maybe you can't tell him he's joking or serious, his face is flat like that, but you have to believe he's joking.”
Ashilla sighed. “No, I think he's serious.”
“If seriously why?” Space laughs. “She just said she wanted a woman like you.” He then embraced it. “But, doesn't mean you have to, ‘kan?”
Ashilla smiled clumsyly.
“I will not give you to anyone, for any reason, even if one day his father Asa comes and invites you back.”
Ashilla's heart is beating.
“He may bring Asa, but not with you.”
Ashilla immediately got up. “I won't let him take Asa. You know how hard I got up and raised Asa alone. He thinks he's who's coming and going. Although he's Asa's father, but he didn't bring her up, he even went and didn't admit his son.”
“Ssttt.” Space rising. “Sorry-sorry. I won't let him take Asa, either. Even I will not let him touch Asa in the slightest,” said Angkasa.
Wrong talk is natural, because initially Angkasa was just joking, but he did not expect Ashilla would be this serious.
Ashilla eased the emotional turmoil in her chest. He sat back down and fell down. He knew he would face the one day he feared in his life.
