Just pretending

Since his quarrel with his mother, Iyash shut himself up and Nadine was forced to adapt herself, inevitably she tried to get closer to Iyash's family, besides Iyash's mother was quite friendly to him. Even tonight she had dinner with both of Iyash's parents. Waiting for that guy might make him sick. Fortunately the food supply was still there, so that this afternoon he only ate the bread he brought as a stock.

“Iyash if angry is so, tomorrow is also good again,” said Ira.

Nadine smiled clumsyly.

“Kok Iyash never stories of suddenly introducing a future wife?” ask Hasa.

“Ya nice dong, Pa. Meaning Iyash is ready to build his own household.”

“Mama sure?”

Nadine coughed and almost choked.

“Drink first, drink first.” Ira quickly gave me a glass of water.

Nadine was quite surprised because since her arrival Ira continued to assume that she was the future wife of Iyash, while Iyash himself did not confirm anything, of course it made Nadine confused.

“How long have you known Iyash?” ask Hasa.

“We met in Spain and both studied at the same campus.”

“Oh.”

The chatter was quite intense, although Nadine did not talk so much. For Nadine this was the first time she had met both parents of the man she liked. He is a difficult person to fall in love, so that once he drops his heart, he will continue on one person, as well as Iyash.

“Indeed since when are you guys dating?” asked Hasa again after swallowing the last meal.

“Nad, go yuk,” invite Iyash in front of stairs. Nadine and her parents turned their heads, so Hasa's question was still hanging, but since noon Ira also asked the same thing, but, had not received an answer.

  “Where?” nadine asked quietly as she looked at Iyash who was now standing next to her. Nadine's voice was nice to hear and so soft, her movements seemed slow. Iyash just found a woman like that.

“Yash, pity Nadine again eat,” Ira said as if nothing happened even though Iyash was still upset with her.

“Yuk, Nad.”

“But, my meal is not finished.”

“Udah is okay.” Iyash immediately pulled Nadine's hand. While Nadine herself was flabbergasted staring at Ira and Hasa alternately. “If you are still hungry, we look for food elsewhere.”

“Om, Aunt, I'm sorry.” Nadine then got up.

“Nothing, maybe Iyash kangen same you,” said Ira. Hasa stared at Iyash, who avoided eye contact with him.

“Excuse.” He followed Iyash, while Iyash continued to hold his hand until it came out. This is what he felt during this comfort that Iyash gave unconsciously.

“Yash, do not bring the motor, fear Nadine will catch a cold,” remember Ira.

Iyash ignored him, without being reminded he would not bring a motorbike, after all he wanted to relax by driving a car.

“Iyash seriously, ‘kan?” asked Hasa who was still sitting in front of the dining table.

“Mama please so.” Ira looked back at the door her son had just passed. “Nadine good girl, soft, Mama likes. He's also a polite kid, yes, ‘kan, Pa?”

“Hm.”

“If Iyash married Nadine, later our grandson is cute, light brown hair, his eyes hazel rich Mama.”

“Hazel?” Hasa's forehead frowned.

“Iya. Just look at his eyeballs.”

“Hm.”

“He is Makassar, Iyash plans later to take Nadine to meet her father. He said they haven't seen each other for a dozen years.” Ira was so enthusiastic about telling her husband about Nadine. “How about we come with them all meet besan.”

“Both of his parents divorced.”

“Have a sister or a Sister?”

“Single child.”

“Later if they get married, Mama does not mind Iyash living abroad with his wife?”

Ira laughed. “Which Nadine lives here, however the wife is with her husband.”

“Mama itself does not want to join Papa to Surabaya.”

“That, ‘kan different again. Whose Mama family company wants to continue?”

Last night Ira cried because of her big secret. However, it is fortunate that he was able to explain, so Ira was willing to forgive and give him a chance.

Twenty minutes driving there was no chatter, Nadine was still scared by Iyash's clash this afternoon. He just did not expect that Iyash could be that cruel to his mother, if only his mother like that, Iyash would easily do it to other women.

“Mama thinks we're dating,” says Iyash started the conversation.

Nadine nodded.

“Let's aja.”

“Hah?” Nadine frowning. Of course he did not understand the meaning of the man's words.

Iyash looked at it. “Tell me two years we've been dating.”

Nadine's heart is beating. “Why lie?”

“Let my Mom be happy.”

Nadine was still astonished and frowned. “So you fought and could even be so upset with your Mama, but now you want to make your Mama happy?”

“You just do it,” Iyash said.

“But, this is a lie. Later if Mama you know, she will be disappointed.”

Iyash clucked, he was also disappointed by what his mother did. “Please, you just have to pretend to be my future wife. That's it!”

“You think it's easy?”

“Please, Nad.”

“What if later your parents marry us.”

Iyash was silent for a few seconds.

“I know you won't do it,” grunts Nadine slowly.

“We can find another way if one day we have to get married,” murmured Iyash.

“How?” Nadine clucked and immediately straightened her body.

“We can pretend to break up and be friends again.”

Nadine took a breath. “I can't, Yash,” reject Nadine.

“Free pretending!”

“That's exactly it, I can't!” If the stupid guy understands that to pretend Nadine can't, but if it's real, of course Nadine can do it without being asked.

“Please, Nad.”

“Yash, but–”

“You are calm, I will be responsible with my own lies.”

“Keep with my heart, will you also be responsible?”

“Of course not, yes, ‘kan?” guess Nadine. “For my heart.” He pointed at his own chest. “I have to be responsible alone.”

“What do you mean? I won't hurt you.”

“Just by pretending you've hurt me.”

“What do you want? Seriously? Crazy you, we're just friends.”

Nadine. Iyash had just hurt and insulted her feelings. “Tomorrow I want to go home to Makassar,” said Nadine slowly.

“Gosh.” Immediately Iyash stopped his vehicle. “Keep I have to say what's the same Mama?”

“You don't have to say anything, let me just say everything.”

“No, can't.”

“Enough, Yash. You can't be careless.”

Iyash sighed and returned to driving. Already he will find another way, it is up to Nadine willing or not that clearly he will still make Nadine pretend in front of both parents. He made sure that Nadine would come into the game.
