Behind The Lies

Behind The Lies
Decided Go

Aruna got back in the car and sat down next to her father. “We can, ‘kan return to hospital?”

Gusman looked quickly. “For what? You want to be insulted again by his mother Iyash?”

Aruna shook her head, she then gave a white box that was locked using a number code. “Please give this to Iyash.”

Gusman didn't get it right away. “How is it possible, do you not think that it could not have reached Iyash?”

“Definitely until,” says Aruna sure. “It's just a book, dad.”

“Tapi–”

“Dad please.”

Gusman sighed. He immediately grabbed the box containing the diary book. Aruna was sure no one could open it because only she and Iyash knew how to open the box.

“Ya already, Yan, back to the hospital.”

“Good, Mas.” Yayan immediately planted the gas and the car sped back to the hospital.

Arriving at the hospital, Gusman leaves alone because Aruna chooses to wait in the car. It occurred to Gusman to go back and not give the box to Iyash. He could have done that, but Gusman didn't want to betray his own son.

Gusman knocked on the door, then went inside. “Sore, Bu.”

“What else do you want, Mr Ridwan?”

“I want to return this.” Gusman put the ten million Ira had given his son. “We don't need this.”

“What does that mean Aruna won't leave Iyash's life?”

“We will keep going.”

“Where will Mr Ridwan bring Aruna?”

“To my father's place,” replied Gusman without telling him his place.

Ira just nodded and didn't ask where or where exactly. He doesn't want to know any further, which is clear he's already asking Aruna to leave and not go back to Iyash.

“Please keep the promise yes, sir, I just don't want Iyash to think about anything other than his life and ideals.”

Gusman nodded. “But, unfortunately, mother can not manage the contents of one's mind including her own child.”

“I don't care, all I want Aruna to stay away from my son.”

“Mother rest easy, I hope the same. If one day Aruna gets married, she should get a dear mother-in-law and accept herself like a child of her own.”

Ira felt slapped.

Actually Gusman did not want the incident on the Goddess repeated on Aruna, Dewi never accepted and even felt insulted by both parents. Gusman wants his son to be luckier than himself and the Goddess. Aruna was not born to be hurt. So thought Gusman.

“This belongs to Iyash, Aruna wants to return it. Please give yes, ma'am, it's enough mother betrayed mother's child, for this one thing, please mother do not betray Iyash again.”

Ira was insulted by Gusman's words. He snatched the box from Gusman's hand.

“We promise we will go, but mom also have to promise that the box gets to Iyash.”

“Indeed what is it?” ask Ira curiously.

“That, ‘kan belongs to Iyash, so, I don't know what it is.”

Ira nodded. “Ya already, I so save ten million after paying your child's hospital fee.”

“Thank you, Mom. I excuse.” Gusman walked away from the room.

Sometimes possessions make a person selfish, possessions that fall on the wrong person will make him arrogant.

“This is Oma's grandson,” said Lestari as she hugged him. “It's big.”

Ganjar just smiled and stroked the top of Aruna's head. “Turn in, Ma.”

“Sini, Darling.” Lestari embraces Aruna's shoulder and invites her in. “Sit here. Have you eaten?”

Aruna nodded.

“Dad you told me everything?”

Aruna looked at her father. I don't know, his father never opened up about anything, no matter which part was missed and how much of it was? Aruna did not understand.

Lestari smiled gently. He then took a photo album from under the table. Then open the first sheet. Aruna frowned at the sight of a photo of a child similar to her. “Like you, ‘kan?” Lestari kept opening each sheet.

When the photo section shows a teenager in high school uniform. Aruna quickly held Lestari's hand and stared at the picture for a long time.

“He's your brother.”

Aruna was shocked and quickly looked at the father.

“His name is Ashilla, since four months ago she lived in New York with your Bude, her sister's Dad. Ashilla plans to study there.”

Aruna. Both of his eyes are dewy. What kind of life was this, apart from being separated from his mother, he was also separated from his own brother.

“Dad apologized,” said Gusman. He took a breath and rose to his back to Aruna. It was always like that, as if her tears were a disgrace that the child should not know.

“When your mother was pregnant, we did not have the cost to go to the doctor to check the womb every month. So that your mother does not know that the child she contains are two beautiful princesses.”

Gusman smiled bitterly. “When the birth arrives, your mother must be operated. Dad came here asking for help and told me everything.”

“Opa apologize,” connect Ganjar. “Opa asked one of you because Opa is sure Gusman will not be able to raise you both simultaneously.”

Aruna's heart is beating.

“Ashilla was born two minutes ahead of you,” said Gusman. “After that birth I never saw him again.”

Aruna bowed and cried. The second time he regretted his birth. Why would he have to be born into such a messy family like this? Families who do not want to be harmed by other family members. Families that are too deifying.

“You will stay here,” says Lestari.

“Aruna don't want to stay here, Dad.”

Lestari and Ganjar were stunned to hear Aruna say so.

“But, why? We are your family, son,” said Lestari sadly.

“Sorry, but Runa has told me that Runa wants to leave Jakarta.” Aruna looked at her father. “Runa has promised, ‘kan, Dad.”

“Iya-iya.” Gusman tries to calm Aruna down. “Means temporary Oma, you ‘kan have to lecture.” Gusman looked at his parents.

“Yes, your father is right. You can study in New York with Ashilla. Next week you can go,” said Ganjar.

“Why should be next week?” Aruna rises. “Tomorrow. Aruna wants to go tomorrow.”

Everyone was silent in shock.

“Mmm, you. ‘kan not healthy, you should be here first for a few days until your condition improves, after all make the passport not one day finished, Nak,” said Lestari calmly.

Aruna. I don't know why he had to rush to leave.

“Now better, you rest. Later let Opa take care of your departure with your father,” said Ganjar.

Lestari agreed. He then got up and took Aruna. “You can sleep in Ashilla.” room

When you enter the room. Aruna pensive. Why should he bear all this. Life is hard and gets a lot of insults. Does his father think everything is done with an apology?
