Behind The Lies

Behind The Lies
Abai

Aruna woke up in a state of headache and stomach that felt nauseous. He went to the bathroom and vomited. Last night he forgot about the medicine, but the doctor told him he should keep taking medicine and vitamins. Faran did not know what happened to his wife because since four o'clock earlier this day he had been to the mosque.

Aruna came out of the bathroom limp. He then performed the dawn prayer, then after that he returned to lay his body on the mattress. He wanted to be healthy, he didn't want to trouble anyone anymore. However, his body was so limp, that he did not care about anything else, other than just wanting to go back to sleep.

Faran went home and saw his wife sleeping wearing a mukena. He wanted to wake him up and stop his wife's bad habits, but suddenly Aruna's voice was long moaning. The woman was in pain.

Faran quickly approached to see what was going on. He was surprised to see Aruna clutching her own right wrist. It was clear that his hands were wrapped in bandages while fresh blood was seeping and dyeing the bandages.

“Why you?” ask Faran in panic.

Aruna opened her eyes and woke up. “Mas.” He quickly hid his wound. “Home home?”

“Hand of you why?”

“Oh this?” Aruna then looked at her own palm. “Nothing, last night only got broken shard.”

“You intentionally, ‘kan?” accuse Faran. This is not the first time Aruna has hurt herself. Faran already knew the character of the wife if she could not vent emotions.

Aruna was silent.

“Iya, ‘kan?”

“Nevent to seek attention, you are old enough to take the path of what is good and what is not. Which do you deserve and which do not.”

Aruna nodded. His chest again throbbed pain when Faran said he was looking for attention. “I also don't want to be noticed. So, you don't have to bother. ‘Kan, I also told you I was okay. It doesn't hurt, it's just a little wound. I'll just change the band doang.”

“Yes thanks, if the wound is just a little.” Faran then left the room.

Aruna pensive. His hands clenched tightly until the wound gaped again and blood splattered onto the white bed sheet he was sleeping in.

Everyone seems busy. While Aruna was still lamenting for herself.

“Aruna is awake?” ayu asked in front of the door at Faran who had just walked out of the room.

“Already, Mom, now again shower,” lie Faran.

Aruna. She doesn't like to hear Faran lie for her sake, so that Faran doesn't seem to lie, Aruna gets out of bed and goes to the bathroom.

“Good when you wake up. Want me to make breakfast?”

“Not done, Mom. Let's make it yourself.” Faran walked out and it appeared Edgar was heating the car.

Two cars were prepared, one was to be driven by Edgar and the other was driven by Mr. Yayan. All agreed that the men would go with Edgar, while the women went with Yayan.

“But ready?” ask Edgar.

“Indeed when to leave?”

“Kata Mommy fifteen minutes more.”

“Neither part?”

“Fear of being jammed.”

“Hm.” Faran quickly turned around and was about to return to the room. However, his steps came to a halt when he saw Aruna standing at the door and was already preparing to leave. Both of their eyes can be rubbed for a few seconds.

Aruna's lips are thin. However, Faran ignored him and went through it. Aruna's heart melted, even until this second Faran was still angry at him.

When Faran had entered the room, Ayu came to him. “You ready?” ask Ayu to the daughter-in-law.

“Mother.” Aruna smiled. “Udah kok.”

“You're really pale.” Ayu clasped both of Aruna's cheeks. “Why, sick?”

Aruna shakes. “Night can't sleep. Been staying up late, write until morning,” lie. The pale face was not because he did not sleep last night, but because he was not feeling well.

“This again, her hand why?” Ayu grabs Aruna's bandaged hand, but Aruna quickly hides it. Her mother-in-law will probably know that the bandage was not made by Faran, given how messy the work was, it was still better the results of Bi Sumi's bandage last night.

“No Why-Why, Bu.”

“Long.”

“Neither is pretending to be bandaged.”

“Let what? Open it doesn't look pretty.” Ayu again wanted to see the bandage, but again Aruna kept it away. “If there is nothing, you will not keep your hands away from mother.”

“Luka a little, got broken glass overnight.”

“Hm. Faran know?”

“Know, Bu.”

“Oh yes. Breakfast first yuk.” Ayu pulled Aruna's hand into the dining room. “Mother make bread equal milk huh?”

Aruna nodded and did not dare to refuse, even though she was not tasteful.

Not until five minutes everything has been presented to the table. “Let's eat, mom waitin,” said Ayu made sure that the breakfast she served will be eaten by her daughter-in-law.

“Not yet, he said he wanted to make it himself. Let alone.”

Aruna smiled and started eating it slowly. Ayu accompanies him while telling him the events of Faran's childhood. Aruna has heard the story a lot, but Ayu will continue to tell it no matter how many times Aruna hears it, which is clear she likes to tell the moment when Faran learned to walk, the first day to school and every achievement in Faran's life with pride.

From everything Ayu often told me, Aruna knew that her mother-in-law was very proud of Faran. If he had children what Ayu would care about, Ayu would someday tell him about how cute and sweet his grandchildren are.

“Spend the milk,” pinta Ayu when looking at Aruna glass that is still full.

Aruna nodded and forced herself to swallow all the milk, but a few seconds after the milk reached the stomach, she began to feel uncomfortable, her stomach was sick and nauseous, cold sweat began to rise soaking his forehead and all over his body.

“Already?” ask Ayu while getting up.

Aruna nodded without looking at her mother-in-law.

“Ya I've been waiting outside, others have been collecting.” Ayu left after Aruna nodded.

As Aruna got up her stomach grew more nauseous. He quickly ran to the sink and spewed out all the milk and bread he ate. I don't know what he should eat, why is every stomach filled he feels nauseous?

Everyone was waiting for him in the car. However, Aruna and Faran did not come. Edgar pressed the horn, while Bi Sumi was asked to follow Aruna into the house.

Ashilla seems upset, why does Aruna always slow down her business?

When he was about to return to Bi Sumi's house, he met Faran.

“Why, Bi, is anyone missing?” ask Faran.

“Mau penggil Non Aruna.”

“Oh.” Faran looked back. Aruna was indeed invisible, he and Bi Sumi only heard the sound of water from the tap.

Faran looked indifferent, not knowing what kind of lesson he wanted to give Aruna. Since last night he silenced Aruna, even hastily he came out of the house as if he did not want to cross paths with his own wife. However, just as he was about to get into the car that Edgar was driving, suddenly everyone heard Bi Sumi shout from inside the house.

“Mother, Non Aruna passed out.” Bi Sumi ran out. “Non Aruna passed out, Bu.”

Faran's heart was piercing.

“Iya, Mom. I think Non fell slipping because the floor was wet.”

Faran immediately ran into the house. He was surprised to see his wife lying on the wet floor. Everyone got out of the car, except Ganjar, because it seemed that people had forgotten that he could no longer walk.

“Honey,” call Faran slowly. Only this time he felt like a failure because he ignored Aruna's health. He quickly lifted Aruna's body and moved her to the sofa.

Ashilla sighed and looked troubled. Really he was confused because honestly he also regretted his attitude yesterday which was too hard on Aruna.

“You leave first, let me take care of Aruna,” said Faran slowly.

“Yakin?” ask Ashilla.

“Iya,” Reply Faran. “Fear the Space family is waiting for you. There is still time for us the most important bride and the nuclear family to arrive early.”

“Faran is right,” says Miranti. “Aruna is safe with Faran,” he added sure.

“Hopefully Aruna is okay, we first,” Ashilla said. He then left first.

“Ran.” Edgar patted Faran on the shoulder. A second later, he caught up with Ashilla.

“You can bring the other car, it's in the garage, the key is in the tv drawer,” Miranti said.

Faran nodded. “Iya, Bund.”

“We accompany you here,” said Ayu.

“Dad is also here for you,” connect Kamal.

“No, I'm okay. Mommy may need help Daddy with Mommy.”

“Mother is okay, it is you who need them,” said Miranti.

Faran nodded.

“Yu, I first yes,” Miranti said to her best friend.

Ayu nodded.

Miranti went with the others.

“You shouldn't have Aruna alone in the kitchen. Sorry yes,” regret Ayu.

“Nothing, Ma'am,” Faran replied as he looked at Aruna, he then grabbed her hand and was about to warm her up, but he stared at the seepage of blood from his wife's palm.

“Hand him actually why?” ask Ayu curiously. “Cock more blood?

“Bring him to the hospital, Ran,” Kamal proposes.

Faran got up and immediately looked for the car keys in the television drawer as Miranti had said. Then he went to the hospital with his parents.
