Behind The Lies

Behind The Lies
Party Quiver

Hasa kept staring at Edgar and Miranti until she didn't realize Ira was standing next to her. “Who is he?”

Hasa. “Ma, you are here.”

“Indeed you think I'm where, Pa?”

“No, earlier, ‘kan equals Iyash.” Hasa smiled clumsyly.

“Who is he?” ask Ira.

“Who?” Hasa asked back.

“Woman chatting with you, who is she, Pa?”

“Oh, old friend. Turns out he's the mother of his wife Angkasa.”

“Hah?” Ira was immediately flabbergasted to hear that. “So, your ex-boyfriend is Aruna's mother?”

“Hah?” Hasa was confused.

“Do not pretend, Pa.”

“Papa does not know Mama.”

“My sentence is simple enough to understand.”

“We talk about this at home, shy to see people,” Hasa said slowly.

“I wait for you in the car.” Ira then let go, while Hasa was still standing there. He then turned around and went back to look at Edgar who had just left with Miranti.

“Sack Edgar.” Suddenly a voice made Edgar's steps stop. She quickly turned to the origin of the voice and saw Marissa walking towards him with a woman.

“How are you?” ask Marissa when she's close.

“Good,” replied Edgar briefly. Just yesterday they were chatting, even Edgar drove him home.

“Known, Yuri, my friend. I told him about Brother Edgar.”

“Hai.” Yuri smiled as she extended a hand. “Yuri.”

“Edgar.” The man shook Yuri's hand at a glance. He looked at Marissa. “What are you telling me about?”

“Profession Brother Edgar. He is also a big fan of the books Sister.”

“Oh.”

Marissa suddenly elbowed Yuri. Immediately Yuri took out the book and asked for Edgar's signature. “Can you request a signature?”

Edgar nodded and picked up the book along with the ballpoint pen Yuri gave him. On the first page of the book he wrote, he affixed his signature.

“Still, Brother.

“Sama-sama.”

“Emmh, Yuri said that you can ask for photos.”

“Hah?” Edgar scratched the nape of his own neck. “I'm a writer, not an artist.”

“Sama-sama art actor, ‘kan? And we love art. We will appreciate anyone with a profession as an artist,” said Marissa.

“Iya, Brother. Can ya?” persuade Yuri.

For the sake of fans, Edgar must not refuse because his work is nothing without readers. “Oke.”

Yuri immediately stood next to Edgar.

“Shortly,” said Marissa as she circulated the view. From a distance Hasa looked towards him and by chance Marissa saw him. He approached the husband of his mother's best friend. “Om Hasa?”

“Marissa? Why are you here?” tanya Hasa pretended to have just seen it.

“This wedding ...” Marissa seemed to think. “Ah, the story is long.” He then looked at the phone in his hand. “Oh Yes, Om. Sorry not polite. Please photoin yes.” He gave his phone to Hasa.

“Whose is he?” tanya Hasa grabbed Marissa's phone.

“A best seller book author from New York.”

“Oh.” Hasa.

“Ayo Om,” invite Marissa.

Hasa nodded and quickly followed the girl. He then pointed the camera at Marissa who had just been standing next to Edgar. Edgar was flanked by two young girls, but it was not extraordinary because Edgar was often surrounded by women.

Hasa immediately pointed at Marissa's camera phone, then some shots were taken. “Already.”

“Still, Om.”

“Iya.” Hasa stared at Edgar. While Edgar smiled and glanced at him.

“Iya, Brother,” says Yuri. “Still, yes.”

Edgar smiled again and his smile was completely deadly, like there was a cupid floating and penetrating into the hearts of the two girls.

“Melech,” says Marissa slowly. Edgar had just left. Yuri nodded in agreement.

Hasa cleared her throat and Marissa suddenly regained consciousness. “Still yes, Om.”

Hasa nodded. “Remember tomorrow do not be late, if you are late you are automatically denied work in the company Om.”

Marissa stood up straight. “Iya, Om, ready.”

Hasa passed by with a million questions. She should have asked Marissa about the name of the stern-faced man, so that she could find him easily. Obviously the man waved at Miranti and called her Mother. It's possible that he was Miranti's real child with her.

Everyone seemed happy for the bride and groom. Time has already shown at half-ten, and the party will be over in another hour and a half. But the invited guests still came and took turns to give prayers.

Unfortunately, Ashilla did not invite any of her Junior High School friends. Angkasa was surprised because Ashilla did not explain the reason why he did not invite friends. Even while in Jakarta, he had not met any of them.

Since she became pregnant, she did withdraw, not even completing her High School education. She moved to hide the pregnancy, since then her friends did not know where Ashilla went. Even he lied to Space, if he grew up in New York.

Although not inviting friends, but the guests are still many because Angkasa invites all friends, Miranti invites all acquaintances in Jakarta, and of course, Ganjar invites all colleagues including all employees in his company.

The excitement and chatter of everyone does not necessarily make the romantic music disappear just like that, even though the various sounds seem to overlap the ears.

On the other hand Marissa and Yuri were endlessly talking about Edgar's charm that night. Someone is judged by his work, and Marissa agrees. He did not pay attention around because he was too focused on the conversation alone, so he accidentally hit Iyash who had just turned around and was about to go home.

“Sorry,” said Marissa panicked because she had just spilled coffee liquid onto the Iyash blazer.

Time is too short to notice who is wrong and who is right. When Iyash got up and turned around, Marissa was already there and too close to dodge, so the two of them accidentally collided.

Iyash pointed to his blazer that was hit by the coffee spill.

“Iya-iya. I'm sorry, Brother.”

“Kak?” Iyash's forehead frowned. “Indeed I'm Your Brother?”

“Iya, Mas.”

“Cih.” Iyash stared at the woman's cynic. “I will not forget tonight,” he said annoyed while pointing at the innocent face of Marissa who looks very much like a high school boy, even Iyash thought Marissa had just graduated Junior High School.

Maybe everyone's enjoying the party tonight, but not with Iyash. His flat and haughty face even made Marissa get upset.

“I've apologized.” Marissa doesn't know that the man is the son of her mother's best friend, the owner of the company who will interview her tomorrow.

“Sorry you don't mean anything. My coat remains dirty.”

“Keep me should what? Wash your coat?” marissa shouted in annoyance.

Iyash glanced and sauntered away.

“Arrgghh! Basic songong!” shouted Marissa. Immediately Iyash turned his head and stared intently at the woman. Iyash would remember the face of the woman who had been looking for trouble with him that night.

“Udah, Cha. Shame,” said Yuri soothing.

“Kok is there, kayak is it?” snickered Marissa while sitting in the chair of the former Iyash.

“Barusan no.”

“Iya, ih .. wonder.”

In front of the parking lot Iyash cross paths with Dewi and Adisty who just came. Iyash had no idea that Adisty was Aruna and Ashilla's maternal brother. In the past, although Aruna showed a photo of his mother, but Iyash did not really recognize the Goddess in the photo. And now Iyash forgets that Aruna once showed him a picture of the Goddess.

“Away home, Yash?” ask Goddess.

“Already. Why just came, Auntie?”

“Waitfully wait for Adisty, so you can be with.”

Iyash turned to Adisty, but the woman turned her face away from him. Ever since Adisty met Nadine at Iyash's house back then, Adisty had been lazy to see Iyash's face again, she had already vowed not to wish anything on a man like Iyash.

“Hai, Dis,” saya Iyash.

Adisty glanced over and instead looked annoyed. Since Junior High he had hoped for Iyash, so far he has been foolishly expecting a man who will obviously never have a single taste in him.

“Yuk, Ma.” Adisty embraces her mother's arm.

“Yes already, Yash. We enter first, the party hunt is complete,” said Dewi.

“Iya, Aunt.”

Dewi and Adisty go inside, while Iyash dart away in his vehicle.
