Behind The Lies

Behind The Lies
Graduations

The third year of education seemed to pass so quickly. Everything is going well, Aruna has also made peace with her problems. As long as Iyash was around, he felt that everything would be fine. At the graduation ceremony Aruna gave a surprise to Iyash. Last week, he went on a scholarship and he got through. The first person Aruna told was Iyash, because Iyash himself registered it.

“I escaped,” shouted Aruna digiangan.

Iyash smiled proudly, it turned out that the surprise that Aruna wanted to give was this. “I'm sure you certainly escaped, Run.”

“Still, Iyash, because of you I managed to get a scholarship in Jakarta.”

It was quite easy for Iyash to apply for Aruna, as the scholarship program itself was held by his father Adisty's campus.

Iyash captured Aruna's happiness with his camera.

“Yash, photoin me with Aruna dong.” Suddenly Naya's voice struck.

Iyash nodded and immediately brought the camera lens closer to his eyes. Instantly Naya is in style while embracing Aruna. Aruna's smile looked different in front of Iyash's camera, there was a sense of relief emanating from his face.

Not long after Mr. Harlan came to offer to take pictures of them. “You are the father of fotoin?”

“Bby, Sir.” Iyash immediately gave the camera to Mr. Harlan. He then stood next to Aruna, and took them all for a picture. “Hei first photo yuk, mumpung Pak Harlan want to photoin us.”

All of Iyash's classmates then approached and took pictures, after which closest friends like Dennis, Umam, Bagas, Naya and Aruna who now take some style as a memento.

“Excite yes, even if you are divided, but your friendship must remain intact,” Mr. Harlan's message.

Compact they nodded. A moment Aruna was stunned when both eyes rubbed with Iyash, then the lips were both on their backs. Mr. Harlan secretly aimed the camera at them.

Aruna immediately regained her senses and she quickly shifted her eyes, while Iyash kept smiling and kept staring at Aruna.

“Yash,” call Mr. Harlan.

Iyash blinked and looked. Mr. Harlan then returned the camera.

“Still, Sir.”

“Sama-sama.” Mr. Harlan then said goodbye to everything.

Iyash himself looked back at Aruna. “We should celebrate your victory, Run.”

“Our victory. It's all thanks to you, Yash. I owe a lot to you.”

“Why should it be considered debt?”

“Ya because–”

“Ssttt .. I don't minjemin anything, so don't need to be reversed, especially until you say this as debt.”

Aruna smiled awkwardly. He had never behaved like this before, so why did he now have to say it was a debt and he had to pay it all? “I just feel, what I got all this because of you.”

“Not, but your hard work.”

“Friends, to celebrate graduation, how about we go to the river,” proposed Naya.

“river?” Aruna's forehead frowned. “Ngapain? You know, ‘kan I can not swim.”

“We are not swimming, Run, we play water aja.”

Aruna looked at Iyash. However, the young man shook his head. It seems Iyash disagreed because he had heard from Gusman that Aruna had a trauma.

“No, if you want to go to the river, to the river, I'm the same Iyash there are other events.”

“Iyash again,” murmured Naya. “You have often been alone, the time on the day of graduation gini you also want to be alone, later the third satan.” This time Naya grumbled.

“What if we camp,” invite Bagas. “It just so happens that my brother likes to rent out camping equipment.”

“Good idea.” Iyash agreed that he did not even ask Aruna for her opinion first.

“I'm afraid dad didn't ngizinin,” said Aruna.

“Let me help talk to Mr. Ridwan,” said Naya.

It seems that everyone agrees with Bagas' idea. So that afternoon they spent to organize the event and divide what equipment should be brought.

At night, Aruna sat in front of her father. Over the past two years, their relationship has improved. Aruna is too busy with her world, forgetting to mend her relationship with the only parent she has.

Since dating Iyash, Aruna has told the young man more often than her own father. But that night he tried to start over.

“Aruna time to Jakarta, Aruna knows a secret,” said Aruna after enjoying dinner with her father.

The four-headed man looked at him. Actually, Gusman has felt so since Aruna returned from Jakarta with Iyash.

“Why should I change my father's identity to Ridwan?”

Gusman.

“Why, Yah?”

“Gusman never picked tea, son. Gusman is a spoiled man who is heartbroken, while Ridwan is a strong man who is able to raise his daughter alone.”

“Means all that Aruna heard was true?”

“What do you hear?”

“Mother left dad because dad was poor?”

Gusman's heart is breaking.

“Aruna is old enough to know, Well.”

Gusman nodded. Then he got up and stood facing the window and turned his back to Aruna.

“Dad married Mom when dad was too young. Your grandfather never approved of us. Dad should have gone to New York for school there, but Dad was adamant because Dad didn't want to lose your mom,” Gusman said as he stared at the dark sky in front of his window.

“Means Aruna still has Grandpa with Grandma?”

Gusman nodded.

“Dad sorry.”

Aruna could only sigh.

“After Dad's separation with Mom, here Dad found peace, though dad had to live because of the mercy of Juragan and his wife.” Gusman also looked. “In Jakarta Dad has no life, son.”

Aruna's heart is beating. He then bowed. “Sunday ago Iyash helped Aruna to get a scholarship in Jakarta and Aruna took her test online.”

“You escaped?”

Aruna nodded.

“Congratulations, I'm proud of you. Iyash turned out to have a positive influence.”

Aruna nodded. Indeed, all this time Iyash helped a lot all the difficulties in his life. He was more and more amazed at the man because it was thanks to Iyash that his learning spirit increased.

In front of the open window, Gusman cried while looking back at the dark sky. “The more you grow up, you look more and more like your mother and it keeps reminding dad of her.”

“Daddy hate the same Aruna?”

Gusman. “Where no Dad hates his son.”

Aruna took a breath. “Can Aruna meet mom later?”

“Do not expect more. Dad is afraid you are disappointed.” Gusman wiped both corners of his eyes. The wound he felt was still too painful, even though it had passed for a dozen years. Every time he remembered that the feeling of tightness was still always felt, heavy rain and dark sky that swallowed his hope was still imagined, the departure of the Goddess that night was the heaviest wound. The red baby crying on the bed was both her biggest burden and strength. However, the wounds had locked him up in the past.

“Daddy apologise, Run.” Gusman took a breath. “Fear of father. Afraid that one day you hate Dad, Mom and yourself,” murmured the thin mustachioed man.

Nothing is certain including the next hour. However, Gusman's fear allows him to ensure that Aruna will be disappointed in the world by what happened in the past. Whether it was disappointed in himself, in his mother and not impossible if Aruna would also be disappointed in him.

“Aruna understands. It's not dad's fault that I don't want to meet Aruna.” Slowly Aruna got up, then went to her room.

Gusman. He understood that Aruna was disappointed because she had kept the secret for too long.
