Behind The Lies

Behind The Lies
The Failed Night

Everyone slowly left the party only left Miranti, Aruna, Faran and his two parents standing there. “Bund.” Faran and Aruna slowly approached.

Miranti. He was surprised to see Aruna was there and saw everything. “Run.”

Aruna was silent, although sad and regretful of this incident, but her sadness was not as deep as Ashilla. It's not like he didn't want to defend Ashilla. It's just that Faran banned it, he didn't want it to backfire on Aruna.

The incident left them at a loss for words.

“You should also sleep,” said Miranti as she sat down.

“Mir.” Ayu approached and stroked her best friend's shoulder.

“Yu.” Miranti clapped Ayu's hand. “You'd better sleep.”

“You too, Mir.”

“Excuse.” Suddenly a voice sounded from the back of Faran.

Everyone turned around and turned to the origin of the voice.

“The trick is done?” asked the man, circling his gaze and stopping at Aruna.

Miranti. “Newly finished,” answered.

“Oh.” The man sighed. “Yesterday my flight was delayed due to a technical problem. It's too late now.”

“Oh, where are you from?” ask Miranti.

“I tasks in Kalimantan.”

“Deliberate to Jakarta to Angkasa wedding?”

“Iya.”

“Aduh, casian. Where's his friend from Space?”

The man smiled. “I–”

“Bund, I'm the same Aruna first yes,” said Faran.

“Iya. Pregnant women should get plenty of rest,” Miranti said.

Faran nodded. Then go with Aruna.

While the man continued to stare at Aruna, even until Aruna and Faran left.

“Tante meet Angkasa.”

The man blinked and quickly looked at Miranti.

“Ayo,” invite Miranti.

The man immediately followed Miranti. Ayu and Kamal walk with them.

“In Kalimantan what task?” ask Miranti.

“I TNI AU, Aunt.”

“Waw.”

The man smiled.

Arriving in front of Angkasa's hotel room, Miranti knocks, while Ayu and Kamal have requested permission to return to the room.

“Actually can't ya disturb the bride.” Miranti smiled as she waited for the door to open.

“Oh, then I can come again tomorrow.”

“No need, it's okay, tomorrow's different again. You can check-in one room here, let us pay.”

“Still, Aunt.”

“Tante forgot to ask name.”

The man smiled.

“Whose name are you?”

 “I Da–”

The door suddenly opened, making the man stop saying his name.

“Daniel?” Both eyes of Space were wide open. He immediately hugged his half-brother at a glance.

“Hei, sorry late.”

“Its okay, the important dateng.”

Daniel smiled.

“After I call my wife.”

Daniel nodded. While Angkasa did not leave the door wide open because Ashilla was changing clothes.

“Daniel,” call Miranti.

“Iya, Aunt?”

“Tante stay first yes.”

Daniel nodded. “Thank you, Aunt.”

“Sama-sama.” Miranti went to her room. That night he slept with Asa, while Edgar was with Ganjar and of course Faran with Aruna and Angkasa with Ashilla.

That night Ashilla was standing in front of the mirror. Since then Space tried to erase his sadness, but Ashilla still felt tight.

“Honey,” call Angkasa slowly. “There's my sister outside. He came from Kalimantan.”

Ashilla. “You didn't say you had a sister?”

“I, ‘kan ever tell me that Mama Laila has a boy my age,” Angkasa said while hugging Ashilla's shoulder. “Meet him for a minute yuk,” take him slowly.

The space was already standing at the door. “Sorry old, just changed clothes. How about if we chat at the cafe aja while drinking coffee.”

“Bby,” says Daniel doesn't mind.

“Sebentar.” Space quickly looked back. “Sayang?”

“Iya.” Ashilla walked to the door. The smiling sky looked at his wife. Ashilla did not return her smile. Not usually he cried until this long, usually he will forget the problem in just a few minutes.

The space immediately opened the door of his room wide. “Known, my wife, Ashilla.”

“Hai,” greet Daniel when the door has just opened. “A-Ashilla?”

Ashilla's stiff smile slowly faded away.

“Where is my wife, beautiful, ‘kan?”

“Beautiful,” said Daniel without taking his eyes off Ashilla, while Ashilla herself was instead bowed stiffly.

“You didn't say congratulations?” ask Space.

“Iya, congratulations, Brother.” But again, Daniel did not stop blinking to look at Ashilla.

Space does not suspect a thing. He felt natural with Daniel's gaze towards his wife because he knew, no one would not be enchanted by Ashilla's beauty. Yes, ‘kan?

“Hai.” Daniel reached out to Ashilla. However, the woman remained downcast, as if embarrassed to show herself.

“Yang.” Space touches the wife's arm. “This Daniel.”

“Hahhhh?” Ashilla lifted her face and grabbed Daniel's hand. “Shilla.”

Daniel nodded, then let go of the grasp.

“We chat in cafe?” bring Space.

“I'm not coming,” reject Ashilla quickly.

“Why?” ask Space.

“Capek.”

“After aja,” refer Space.

“Part of shame. I'm wearing a gini kayak,” Ashilla said nervously.

“Yah.”

Ashilla smiled dryly.

“Nothing, we can chat tomorrow morning, your mother-in-law booked me a room,” Daniel said.

“Oh is?”

“Iya.”

“OK. Thanks yes, it has come.”

“Nothing all home.”

“Who met Mama?”

Daniel shakes. “I came directly here.”

“Pantes, time to condition bring backpack.”

Daniel smiled a little. He then glanced at Ashilla, but the woman immediately bowed. “I ...” Daniel then turned his gaze to Space. “Book room first.”

“Iya.”

“Bye, Shill,” says Daniel rigidly.

Ashilla nodded. “Bye,” murmur.

Daniel went and booked a room. Ashilla went inside and sat on the edge of the bed. The thump behind his chest rumbled, there was a fret that suddenly disturbed his peace tonight.

“I don't think Daniel will come,” said Angkasa as he sat next to his wife. “Last met on Mama's birthday, and then two years ago.”

Ashilla did not respond, but she heard the words of Space. Ashilla's silence made Angkasa worried. He was afraid that Ashilla was still thinking about the incident earlier.

Space directed the wife's face to face her. “I know Adisty's arrival messed things up. He's outrageous, but you don't have to think about him. Let's just focus on ourselves tonight.”

“I don't care about Adisty. Whatever he wants, I just feel guilty for asking mom to come to my wedding,” lied Ashilla, even though she was very hurt when Adisty insulted her.

Space nodded. He saw all the insults of the Ashilla family towards the Goddess. He did not know what the problem was until Ganjar so hated the Goddess.

“I promise I will help you to find a way out.” Space clasped Ashilla's hands.

“I'm not sure there's a way to this problem. Mother even hates mother.”

“What makes Mother hate mother?”

“I don't know.”

“You don't feel sad. It's our happy day. I want a beautiful night, so that one day I can remember her.”

Ashilla sighed.

“We just focus on ourselves tonight, yes,” persuade Angkasa while putting his hands into the niche of his wife's neck.

Ashilla stared at Space. Slowly the man brought his face closer and devoured his wife's lips. Ashilla initially enjoys the touch of Space, however, suddenly a sudden flash of events that she should have forgotten long ago instead popped into memory.

Ashilla immediately got up and pulled her clothes back. “Au–” She looks nervous. “I, tired, Honey,” kilahnya while retreating.

The sky looks disappointed. He got up and got closer to Ashilla.

“I slept first ya.” Ashilla quickly walked through space and climbed into bed.

Space sighed and looked at Ashilla's back. He had already prepared himself for tonight, all of which failed because Adisty's presence made Ashilla sad.
