Behind The Lies

Behind The Lies
Hope Aruna is Pregnant

Faran woke up hearing a noise in the middle of the night. Apparently Miranti and Edgar came, he looked at Aruna who looked so good, that he did not dare to wake her.

Faran came out of the room to greet the woman who was already considered a mother by him.

“Faran? We were noisy until you woke up?” ask Miranti.

“Neither, Bund. Coincidentally want to grab a drink in the kitchen.” Faran immediately hugged Miranti. “How are you?”

“Good, you yourself?”

“Alhamdulillah.” Faran then looked at Edgar and hugged him at a glance. “How are you, Ed?”

Surprisingly Edgar even put his shoulder to the point of making Faran smile. “I mending in Bali than here.”

“Hush.” Miranti hit the child's arm. “You are not appreciative. Try staying here a month, new kerasan.”

“Bby, but not the same Opa.”

“Don't do that, Opa is sick again. Opa has changed a lot now. Ask Ashilla.”

Edgar smiled dryly. He lived in the house when he was Asa's age and he could not stand the authoritarian attitude of his grandfather. He had to follow all the rules applied Ganjar, and Ganjar did not hesitate to scold him even for small problems, such as forgetting to turn off the room lights, forgetting to dry towels, forgetting to keep the glass, forgetting to tidy up the mattress, forgetting to clean up the bed, all the things that Edgar had purposely forgotten for thinking what use was a maid.

“Where's Aruna?” ask Miranti. “Yayan said he was sick.”

Faran nodded. “I'm also surprised, Bund. She vomited, I followed limp see.”

“Have you checked?”

“Not yet, just finished changing clothes directly to sleep.”

“Kira why?” ask Miranti again. He just wants to hear the opinion of Faran who is a Doctor.”

“Maybe in the wind,” replied Faran.

“Ah. The doctor also used the word maybe.” Miranti laughing.

“Mother, Doctor is also human,” Edgar said. “Indeed Mother acted like God to determine that Aruna was pregnant.”

“Ish .. Edgar, you're too serious. Mother just nebak doang.” Miranti then smiled looking at Faran. “But, Mommy really hopes so anyway.”

Faran's heart was piercing. Every year he hopes so too. Every age of her marriage increased she was always faced with a sense of disappointment, because Aruna never stopped taking the Pill. It is not only about ambition, but also about Aruna who always doubted herself. Her childhood and trauma made her insecure to be a mother.

Last year Faran was desperate because he thought that he had been fighting alone. However, he has accepted Aruna and is willing to wait for Aruna to really be ready to have a baby.

“It's ah, don't think, maybe Aruna is just in the wind.” Miranti then breezed away to her room, while Edgar would sleep in Asa's room. However, instead of sleeping, he instead invited Faran to chat in the living room. For a long time they have not met and thank God they can now share their experiences with each other. Laughing until you forget time.

“This noodle equals coffee, Den,” said Bi Sumi while putting it on the table.

“Eat, Ran.” Moments ago he asked Bi Sumi to make noodles with two eggs and one green mustard handle and a cup of coffee.

“Nmak thanks.”

“Den Faran want Aunty make what?”

“No, I ask for warm water only, Bi.”

“Good, Den.”

“Three days ago I went to Orlando,” said Edgar while eating noodles. “Not able to go home.”

“Running cost?” guess Faran.

Edgar laughing. “Not. Meet old friends, so I was invited around, keep staying at his house.”

“Definitely stay until you forget to go home. Habits.”

Edgar laughed again as he nodded. “I am interested in the story and the plan is to be made for work purposes.”

“Be careful if without consent do not. I've also said so many times Aruna.”

“Unfortunately she agrees.” Edgar laughing.

Faran nodded. Aruna and Edgar have one favorite job, both love to make novels. The difference is Edgar focused on his hobby until he became a traveler to reset and find all the material to write. While Aruna became a translator and guide to all reset and search for materials. Until now Aruna focused on his main work so that only published a few books, while Edgar had dozens of books. She prefers adventure, while Aruna prefers romance.

While laughing, Faran suddenly heard vomiting from his room. “Aruna.” He got up quickly. “Sebentar.” Then ran to her room and Aruna was in the bathroom holding her hair so as not to get vomited from her mouth.

“Sayang.” Faran quickly approached and rubbed his wife's back. “You have warm water, Mas get ya?”

Aruna shakes. He rinsed and walked back to the bed. His body was limp, his stomach ached and his head throbbed in pain.

“Yes you have slept again, dawn is still long.”

Aruna nodded. He breaks down the body and Faran covers it.

“Bunda sama Edgar has arrived overnight at twelve.”

“I wasn't built?” Aruna opened her eyes.

“Mas is not. You slept really well. But, Brother Edgar hasn't slept, still ticking in the living room.”

“Not sleep even work,” snorted Aruna while about to get out of bed.

“Where are you?” ask Edgar who was standing at the door.

“Hei, Brother.”  Although they rarely meet, their communication is very well established. “How are you?”

“I'm healthy, Dek.” Edgar approached, then rubbed the top of Aruna's head. “Do not have to take care of the sick? Why even follow the pain?”

Aruna smiled faintly.

“Honey, Mas check first yes,” said Faran while opening a bag containing Doctor equipment and sitting next to him. “Let Mas can prescribe the right medicine for you.”

Aruna nodded and let Faran check his blood pressure.

“Blood is low, pantesan is very pale.” Faran then checked the thump behind his chest. “Try breath.”

Aruna took a breath and let it out slowly.

“There is pain other than the head?”

“My stomach is cramping.”

“Mana?” Faran examined the upper abdomen. However, Aruna's hand instead leads her to the lower abdomen. “This?” ask Faran.

Aruna nodded.

“Maybe you want your period.”

“Tuh, ‘kan, Mommy says you are pregnant, it turns out the doctor said you want to menstruate. Mother's policy is pretentious,” said Edgar.

Faran looked up at Aruna's pale face. Aruna himself misheard Edgar's words.

“You are too stressed, so your stomach acid goes up,” Faran said.

Aruna sighed while nodding. However, his breathing made Faran sad.

“Let's Mas to the pharmacy to buy the medicine,” continued Faran.

Aruna nodded.

“Now you rest again.”

The woman nodded back.

Faran took a breath as he got up. Then he looked at Edgar, then looked back at Aruna. “Mas ready to go to mosque.”

“Be careful,” says Aruna while closing your eyes. “Kak,” call Aruna on Edgar. “Later ajarin I wrote fantasy.”

Edgar smiled. “Mau pay how much,” cetus while breezing away.

Aruna smiled as well. A second later, he heard the door close.
