Behind The Lies

Behind The Lies
Don't Call Another Man's Name

“OK, this time you may not lie, but you go to meet him, ‘kan?” accuse Faran again as he approaches.

“Mas.” Aruna took a breath.

“Jawab.”

“I go alone, take a taxi. You can check cctv mall if you don't believe.”

“No need to support check cctv.” Faran showed me his phone screen. “You can't dodge.”

Aruna was stunned when he saw the photo shown Faran, there Iyash was waiting for him who just got off the taxi.

“Can that photo from where?” ask Aruna to panic.

“You are surprised because Mas can know?”

“Mas.”

“Sorry, mas open the cardboard and see all the contents,” I Faran while sitting.

Aruna was dumbstruck and did not stop blinking looking at her husband.

“You called him and he asked you to come. Yes, ‘kan?”

“Mas, you open my HP?” asked Aruna while sitting next to her husband.

“Iya.”

Faran did see a call coming out of Aruna's phone and a message asking Aruna to come to a place. Faran was curious and tried to call the number using his number. He was shocked when his call hooked up to a man. Faran was forced to delay his flight to Bali. He rented a hotel room, then there he came to the place and waited until Aruna came.

Aruna's heart is beating. “Why open my HP, Mas? I've never checked your HP.”

“Because I'm not weird.”

“I'm not weird either.”

“Oh, So, you consider this ordinary, continue Mas should not be angry when Mas's own wife met his ex-girlfriend? Aging.” Disappointed tears flashed across both of Faran's cheeks. “Less what Mas all this time, Run?” ask Faran in despair.

Aruna shakes. “Mas ...”

“You still expect him?”

Aruna shakes.  “Ngak, Mas.”

“Keep why should you go see him?”

“I just ...”

“Mas is heartbroken to know that Mas's wife went to see another man. Mas want to get off the car and stop you.”

“Keep why didn't Mas do that?” Aruna held her husband's hand. “I know I was wrong, why didn't Mas stop me?”

Faran wet his throat. He was also wrong, already knowing what his wife was doing was not right, but he still let it go. And after seeing Aruna there, he left the place instead.

“I found Iyash for–”

“Do not mention the name of another man in front of your husband, Aruna,” Faran said as he pulled his hand from his wife's grasp.

Aruna's heart is beating. He felt guilty and hurt to see Faran like this. “I met him doesn't mean I want to go back to him.” Aruna's voice was trembling. “He must know that I am not alone. He must stop waiting for the past that can never be his future.”

“Oh so, so why do you have to go alone? Why not Ashilla? Or invite all of you.”

“I'm sorry, I admit I was wrong,” said Aruna resignedly. “I don't think practical in this regard,” I'm Aruna tired.

Faran got up and left the room without answering Aruna's apology.

Meanwhile, at the same time, Miranti was trying to give Ashilla some understanding. He thought this was the peak of Ashilla's fatigue all along. He knew that Ashilla had given up enough.

“Mothers apologise, this is also Mother's fault. Mommy asks you to take care of Opa company, even though at that time Mother can force Edgar.”

Ashilla was still sitting down on the edge of the bed. His chest rumbled withstanding his sense of regret all this time.

“As a Brother, you have done your best. You didn't see Aruna's happy face earlier, she's happy for your wedding, Shill.”

Ashilla did not answer.

“Mother knows you're tired. Mother is selfish because again Mother asks you to call and look for Aruna. Sorry because Mommy is relying too much on you in any case.” Miranti clasped Ashilla's hand.

Ashilla wiped both of her cheeks.

“Yuk, apologize to Aruna for snapping you up. Pity him, you, ‘know him how. Tomorrow is an important event for you, later in your family photos pout,” persuaded Miranti.

“I need time, Bund.”

“Okay.” Miranti. “Mother please tomorrow everything is fine.” He then stroked the top of Ashilla's head, then left the woman's room.

Upon exiting Ashilla's room, Miranti accidentally crosses paths with Faran. “Where are you? Come eat, Aruna bought a lot of food.”

“Iya, later, Bund.” Faran then went to the backyard with a moody face.

Miranti sighed while shaking her head.

Faran stopped and stood in front of the fish pond, the light of the night moon was reflected above the surface of the water. He was lamenting to himself. He may be able to hold back his anger when Aruna makes another mistake, but somehow this time he can't hold back his anger, even he doesn't believe in his own wife.

Aruna herself was unable to look okay, her chest was tight, in the midst of the happiness she was feeling right now, she had to hold back her injuries when Faran was angry. This was indeed his fault for having to meet Iyash secretly as if to reminisce about the past.

“Run,” call Miranti on the doorstep. “Yuk, eat, yuk. Mom and dad are waiting.”

Aruna wiped away the tears on her cheeks. “Sya, Bund. I change clothes first.”

“You're okay, ‘kan?” asked Miranti as she brought the ear closer to the door.

“I'm fine kok.”

“Ya is fast ya.”

“Iya.” Aruna got up and went to the bathroom. He washed his face, hands and feet and changed his clothes. After a few minutes of preparation, he quickly walked out of the room and went to the dining room, where there were already both parents of Faran, Ganjar, Asa, Ashilla, and there were, miranti went to the kitchen to get the food that had not been served at the table.

Not long after Edgar came. “Dek, thank you for the gift, even though I am not a birthday loh.” Edgar then sat down.

“Sama-sama, Brother.” Aruna is still standing.

“Eh, Which Faran?” ask Edgar.

“After,” says Miranti while carrying a plate and putting it on the table. “Run, call first gih, pity have not eaten from earlier.”

“Iya, Bund.” Honestly Aruna wants to refuse, but how else, Faran her husband and she does not want others to know what problems they are facing right now.

Aruna left the dining table and went to the back. Faran was standing in front of the pool. “Mas,” call him as he approaches. “Eat first yuk, I've bought your favorite food.”

Faran did not look.

Aruna's chest felt tight, so his voice sounded slow, just a little high, his voice would be heard vibrating accompanied by crying. “Mas.” Aruna came closer. “You can be angry with me, I know I was wrong, but you can't punish everyone.” Eventually tears fell from the corner of her eyes. “Dad mom and everyone is waiting for you at the dinner table,” he added.

Faran wet his throat. He then turned around and left to miss Aruna, not even looking at his wife at all.

Aruna's chest is getting sicker. He doesn't want his house to fall apart. He wants everything to be okay. However, it seemed that Faran could not forgive him.
