Behind The Lies

Behind The Lies
There Will be No First Night

After the show ended, Marissa cried in the arms of her mother. It wasn't because of this marriage, but it was her mother's belief in Ira that made her cry this much.

Meanwhile in a different place, Edgar had just arrived at his late grandfather's residence. The whole house welcomed him warmly. Edgar apologized, as did Miranti. Miranti had released him all along. Now he just wants to hang out with Edgar until the end of his life.

“Finally go home too, originally want to go there, but not get the same Mother,” said Ashilla while hugging Edgar.

Edgar smiled. “No need, I'm already here.” He rattled Ashilla's head.

“Iya, ‘kan was.”

Edgar hugged Space at a glance. Then hugged Faran while whispering, “You should go there.”

Aruna looked at her husband and sister. I don't know what Edgar got there until the man suggested that Faran go to that place.

“Still home, Brother,” said Aruna. Unlike Ashilla who looked enthusiastic and hugged Edgar first. Aruna just expressed her gratitude sincerely, so Edgar hugged her tightly. “I found out about you there,” whispered Edgar.

Aruna's heart is beating. But then he smiled. “That's how our lives used to be, Kak.”

Edgar was actually able to get to that place as well because of the help of the novel that Aruna wrote. “Real life is unique,” says Edgar.

“You chat what the hell, let's eat first,” invite Miranti.

They're gathered at the dinner table. Edgar actually misses simple cuisine in Granny Alma's hometown. Not a day has the longing been felt.

After eating, Edgar went to Ganjar's room. That night before Ganjar died, he chatted and said goodbye to go find out his origins.

Ganjar did not prevent him from leaving, even he was very supportive of Edgar's decision. Ganjar also advised, “Don't go home before you get what you want. Life is short, as short as you breathe in water.”

Edgar smiled in front of Ganjar's photo as he recalled the sentence. Now Edgar is home, though he still wants to linger there.

Suddenly Miranti came and stood in front of the door. “You came home with Icha?”

Edgar looked over and was silent for a moment. “Ngak. I didn't see him,” elangkanya.

“Oh, Mommy thinks you–”

“Why? Mother told him to catch up with me?”

Miranti sighed with a smile. “Ngak. Just ask for help.”

Edgar wet his throat. “It is better not to involve others. I just need time to make it myself.”

“Iya, Mother apologizes.”

Maybe Edgar was too cowardly to admit his feelings for Marissa, so he chose to leave without leaving a definite trace on the woman, even though he had wanted to whisper his feelings, he said, but all those moments were broken when Alma's grandmother accused him of trying to kiss Marissa. Moreover, Iyash's presence made him miss that opportunity.

While that night after performing the sacred wedding ritual Iyash and Marissa both sat on the edge of the bed, just the opposite. Marissa is on the left and Iyash is on the right. Do not expect there will be a first night, both Iyash and Marissa are equally reluctant to do so.

None of them even intended to open the conversation. Marissa herself is lazy if the edges she will feel goiter because of the spicy sentence Iyash. As for Iyash, he was strong enough to survive without any chatter. He's an unpredictable man, so it's very difficult for Marissa to guess the man's head.

Marissa got up to change clothes, while Iyash's phone rang. The incoming call from Aruna.Iyash's chest was pounding, he was afraid the news of his marriage reached the woman across the phone.

“Halo, Yash.”

“Hey,” greet Iyash nervously.

“Still yes, thanks to you Brother Edgar came home.”

Iyash. “He came home of his own volition.” The same answer Marissa gave to Miranti.

Aruna does not know that Iyash played no role in Edgar's return, the man did not even do a word interaction with Edgar, so it is natural that Iyash said that Edgar came home because of his own wishes.

“Yes, but thanks for making him understand and coming back here, I can finally see your smile again.”

“Congratulations yes.”

“Yash?”

“Hemm?”

“When?” ask Iyash briefly.

“If you're ready, let us know.”

“Where?”

“Should be in Bali. But, because I'm still in Jakarta so–”

“In aja restaurant,” cut Iyash.

“Oh can.”

“The place I chose.”

“Iya, later I say the same Mas Faran.”

Suddenly Marissa came out of the bathroom dressed differently. She had already stripped off the kebaya and cleaned up her makeup. He wore an oversize knit blouse with purple sabrina shoulders accompanied by white hotpant pants, he put some subordinates of the shirt into his pants, so that his pants are not covered by his long blouse.

“Udah first yes,” says Iyash nervously. He was afraid that Marissa knew, and he also did not want Aruna to know that Marissa suddenly made a sound.

“Iya, thanks yes, Yash.”

“Hm.” Iyash closed the call, then he put down his phone, then went to the bathroom.

The sweet aroma of fruits dominates the entire corner of the bathroom room, even though Marissa does not shower, just washing her face, brushing her teeth and washing her hands. Every time he went to the bathroom, he would leave the scent because he had a habit of spraying special room fragrances in the bathroom. It makes the person who will use the bathroom after himself become at home linger there. That's why Grandma Alma said that there is a Marissa home to be fragrant.

Iyash was pensive in his own bathroom. Not because he felt the scent, but because he felt guilty because since yesterday he had silenced the woman. She quickly comes out of the bathroom to apologize to the woman, however, Marissa has just come out of Iyash's room to move to sleep in the room her mother now occupies.

Iyash was about to catch up, but Rasya's voice from outside was teasing Marissa, so he undoes his intentions. “Cha, even the wedding night wear a gini kayak.”

“Important Icha does not use negligee. How's it? Tempting enough?” challenge Marissa. He was already upset to consider this as a necessity.

“Mmmm.” Rasya lips. “Less the truth, there should be more effort to tease Iyash.”

“Bodo very,” snorted Marissa while entering the room. Rasya laughs amusedly, he honestly pity Marissa for wanting to marry a stiff man like Iyash. Although the stiffness happened in the last ten years and before that Iyash was not like this.

Marissa was on the doorstep. She was surprised to see her mother crying. “Mama.”

“Icha.”

Slowly Marissa approached.

“Mama apologizes,” Rahma said as she hugged her daughter.

“Nothing. Why apologize. Papa always says that crying is appropriate. Mama look, Icha is fine, really. Icha can take care of yourself.”

Rahma took a breath while nodding. He believes that Marissa is capable of dealing with everything, including perhaps confronting the nature of Ira. Actually Rahma had known Ira enough, even since Restu was still there, Ira often hurt her heart. After Restu is not around, Rahma tries to appreciate Hasa who has been helping her, so, she does not take the heart of Ira's words.

Marissa is already legally his wife Iyash, but the woman has plans to cancel her marriage, before Hasa registers her to KUA.

“It's late, Cha, hurry back to the room, your husband must have been waiting,” Rahma said as she let go of her embrace.

“Mama, ‘kan know, Icha do not want to marry him.” Marissa broke down and slept on her mother's lap. “So, why if Icha sleeps here?”

Rahma sighed looking at the spoiled behavior of the child. “You are an adult, you should understand,” he said as he stroked Marissa's head.

“Icha knows what a couple should do on their wedding night.”

“Ya already then, quickly serve your husband.”

“Mmm, don't do it. Let her serve herself.” Slowly Marissa closed her eyes and she fell asleep on Rahma's lap.

Iyash was pensive to hear Marissa's chat with her mother. His room and Marissa's room were only blocked by gypsum walls, once a room with two beds, one for Hasa and one for Irwan. And when Iyash lived there, the room belonged entirely to Iyash, so it was spacious and comfortable. However, since there was Rania, the room was given a partition and made into two places.

Tonight is the second night Iyash overhears a chat from the room.
