Behind The Lies

Behind The Lies
Failing to Enjoy Happiness

When Yayan returned from the hospital to the parking lot, he was surprised to see Aruna standing near his car. Some groceries lay near the woman's feet.

“Astaghfirullah, Non from where?” ask Yayan in panic.

Aruna smiled instead. “Tadi, I'm shopping first, sir. To mall.”

“Astaghfirullah, why didn't you say?” Yayan took all his groceries and put them in the trunk.

“Tadi, see Mr. Yayan sleep very well, do not bear if I disturb his rest.”

“Continue, Non taxi ride?”

“Iya. Geez I'm sorry.”

“No-no, it should have been Mr. Yayan who apologized.” Yayan opens the car door for his master's granddaughter. “Sorry, but Mr. Yayan panics.”

Aruna nodded. “Sorry to have made Mr. Yayan panic, I think it will not be long, the question has to be stuck even to dark like gini, where the HP dies again.”

Aruna then got into the car. Yayan also entered from the steering door. “Non, it was Non Ashilla calling. Then I'll call you first.”

“Borrow his HP, let me do the talking,” said Aruna.

Yayan immediately gave his phone to Aruna, then he drove his car. From the rearview mirror many times he saw the face of Aruna who was so blushing, bright and looked so happy, even though everyone was worried about him.

“I'm already in the car, the same way home Mr. Yayan,” said Aruna after his call was answered.

“You are from anywhere, Faran both his parents came.”

“Hah? From my hospital to the shopping mall.”

“Kok Pak Yayan don't know?”

“Iya, because I am not the same Mr. Yayan, was out of the hospital Pak Yayan sleep, I did not feel good waking up, because it was very good.”

“We chat at home,” Ashilla said before finally turning off the phone.

Aruna nodded, but her lips remained flat. I don't know today he was really happy to the point of buying a lot of stuff like that.

“Pak, thanks its HP.”

“Iya, Non.” Yayan received his phone.

“Says Mas Faran, the same father mom came, later dropped by the restaurant yes, I want to buy their favorite food.”

“Iya, Non.”

The car continued to dart through the rain which slowly began to fall soaking the asphalt. Arriving at the restaurant Aruna immediately went without wearing an umbrella, so his clothes were a little wet. Afraid of getting angry with the other family, Yayan soon followed with an umbrella.

“What do you want to order? Let me order.”

Yayan shook his head.

Looking at the food menu, Aruna was confused about what to buy, so she bought everything and asked to be delivered to the car.

At seven o'clock in the evening, Aruna finally arrived home. Yayan took down all the groceries from the car. Cheerful face and happiness that is drawn makes everyone nagging, especially Miranti, she was surprised because Aruna shopped a lot.

“Pak Yayan, the food was brought immediately, have Bi Sumi prepare for dinner,” said Aruna.

“Where are you out of?” ask Miranti wonder.

“Exit from hospital, I went to mall.” Aruna went into the house.

“Sama Yayan?” asked Miranti while following her.

“No, Mr. Yayan overslept, I don't feel good waking up.” Three times Aruna declared that as an excuse.

I don't know what makes Aruna so happy that she did not realize that the whole house showed a worried face and was amazed to see her behavior that night.

“Mother,” call Aruna while hugging her mother-in-law tightly.

Ayu smiled and returned her embrace. “You've made Faran worry.”

Aruna smiled. He then shook hands and kissed the back of his father-in-law's hand. “Dad, healthy?”

“Health. Alhamdulillahot. Where's Faran?”

“In room,” Ayu replied.

Everyone probably thought Aruna would soon go to the room to meet Faran and calm him down. However, no, Aruna instead distributed the purchased items which she referred to as gifts. I don't know what his goal was, which was clear that day everyone was made curious by him.

Aruna gave one person a gift box. He did not know that Faran and his parents came that afternoon, but he still bought them a gift and the plan would be given if they got here. When Ashilla called and told her that Faran had arrived, her happiness doubled and she was looking forward to sharing her happiness with them.

“This is for Dad.” He gave a blue box containing a tie to his father-in-law.

“This is for Mom.” Then to her mother-in-law. “Hopefully like,” he added. She bought a bross and a hijab that matched the tie she gave her father-in-law.

Aruna got a thank you from her two in-laws. He smiled as he nodded, then looked at Miranti. “This is for Mommy.”

“You why so strange?” ask Miranti while receiving a box containing ethnic necklaces that are suitable if worn by a fashionable Miranti.

“I just want to share a gift again.”

“Can already gift from Germany.”

“Yang from Jakarta yet, Bund.” Aruna's lips kept on leaning.

“This is for Opa.” Aruna also gave a tie to Ganjar.

“Thank you, Run.” Ganjar smile.

“Sama-sama, Opa.”

“This is for Ashilla and this is for Asa.” Aruna gave both of them to Ashilla.

Ashilla was confused and did not immediately accept it.

“Why, Shill? You accept it, I'm happy again.”

Ashilla was even frowning. “Bappy did you say? While here everyone is panicking thinking of you. Can't you just keep thinking about yourself? Why on my wedding day, you can not make me calm, just one day,” said Ashilla upset.

Slowly Aruna's smile faded, she was surprised that only she was happy, while the others did not like her.

“I'm tired of hearing everyone ask, Which Aruna, which Aruna? Everything was like not thinking that I should be taking a break, instead of continuing to take care of you.”

Aruna wet the throat. Slowly tears fell from the corner of her eye.

Ashilla turned around and left the living room without bringing any gifts from Aruna. Aruna wiped her tears as she leaned over and picked up the bag containing three boxes.

“Bund, nitip for Kak Edgar, Pak Yayan and Bi Sumi.”

Miranti immediately accepted it. He was surprised because the look on Aruna's cheerful face now changed. Ashilla's words have hurt and faded her cherry.

Aruna then went to her room and brought a box for Faran. When she had just opened the door, Faran was already standing in front of her with an unusual face, only this time Aruna saw no affection on the man's face.

“Where are you from?” ask Faran flat. “Suami go home instead of being welcomed, even crawling.”

Aruna was surprised to hear Faran so sorry. Faran had never behaved like this before, even his gaze was so sharp.

Aruna went into the room without answering Faran's question. However, Faran held his hand.

“You went to hide from Mr. Yayan so you could meet your ex-boyfriend, ‘kan?” accuse Faran.

Aruna's heart was beating with pain. He was astonished and did not expect Faran to be able to think that way. “I left because Mr. Yayan slept in the car and I can't wake him up.”

“Long,” accuse Faran of disbelief while releasing his hand from Aruna.

“What did Ashilla say everything?”

“Means true,” Accuse Faran.

“What is right? If you don't believe it, you can ask Mr. Yayan.”

Aruna continued to enter the room. The gift box he was supposed to give Faran instead he put it on the table. She had no intention of giving it away, Faran's attitude and accusations made her avoid enjoying the happiness with her husband.
