S2 \~ KEEP ME

\~ I changed it, formed a new life that is better, and that is useful for many people.\~

•••

I still froze when I looked at her face, I guess I had the same reaction. His eyes are not as blinking as mine.

“You know each other?” ask Arvin.

“Iya. We...,” Angga replied.

“We're schoolmates first,” as connect the sentence. I don't know why I don't want Arvin to know that Angga was my ex-boyfriend.

“O..., so.”

“Good, please enjoy the coffee. I'm in first,” my pamit. I don't want to stay there for long.

I went back inside the cafe, put a little rough tray into the sink.

“Why, Boss?” ask Caca wonder.

“Ngak, Ca. Not important.”

“Until the banging of that tray? Seduced by Arvin again?” ask Caca.

“No,” my smile, trying to ease Caca's curiosity.

I catch my breath, trying to find a little peace so that my heart will no longer feel troubled. The meeting with Angga was so shocking to me. For me, her figure is so special because I used to love her.

“Baby?” arvin's voice rang out and forced me back to reality.

“Ah, why, Brother?”

“I go home first, yes. I'll be here again tomorrow.”

“OK,” my hand forms an OK sign with thumb and forefinger.

“Do not be naughty, baby!” whispered Arvin just before leaving the cafe.

Does he know about my relationship with Angga? What did Angga tell him? Ah..., what do I care if Arvin finds out?

“Boss, it's night. Close, yuk. My college assignments piled up a lot.” Caca let go of his apron and rushed to clean the bag.

“Ayuk, have you done everything?” I asked, just to make sure that the cafe was clean again.

“Already, bossku.” report.

“OK, be careful going home, yes,” lambaiku.

Krrriiingclingg.. 🎶

The sound of bells was heard, along with the entry of Angga into the cafe.

“Sorry we've closed.” Caca refused the arrival of Angga.

“I just want to meet with Kalila.” Angga replied.

Caca turned his head and raised his eyebrows asking for my answer, I can only nod in response. Allowing Angga to come in and talk.

“Come, Ngga,” my permission.

Caca's eyes followed the steps of Angga who walked into the cafe. Looks like the tomboy is gobsmacked with the grace of Angga.

“Boss, can I have a chat?” his screams almost made me laugh.

“So you said more tasks?” reply shouted.

“Oh, yes.”

Basic Caca, look a little clear guy just can't. Lately he also he became more diligent definitely because of Arvin. The task piles up to see a cute guy, if this is who bucin try? You bucin yell bucin.

“I go home first, boss.” says Caca.

“Oke, Ca,” lambaiku for the second time.

I took a deep breath and tried to calm down before facing Angga.

“Hallo.” I'm feeling stale.

Angga did not answer, he was still silent and kept looking at my face. Makes me a little misbehaving.

“How are you, Kalila?” ask Angga.

“Good, how are you?” I asked back.

“I miss you, Kaila.”

“Ee..., it is not the right answer.” I scratched my head, feeling awkward about our current state. How could he say he misses me when he left me alone?

“I'm sorry, Kalila.” her eyesight implies the earnestness of her heart.

“Ah, come on, it's been a long time.” I pretended to keep myself busy by wiping the bar table over and over again, when it was clean.

“I still love you Kalila. I keep thinking about you, lately the feeling of tightness continues to get worse.” Angga's speech sounds loud.

Suddenly, “HHUUUAAAA...!” Keano cried, it seemed that the loud voice of Angga woke her up.

“Ken...?!” I rushed to the back room.

Angga followed me, his expression the same as Arvin when he saw Keano for the first time. There will be the same misunderstanding again.

“Cup, baby,” I stroked Keano's hair, the baby fell back asleep in his nenny sling.

“Iya, Bi.”

Angga immediately greeted me with his face stiffened in disbelief. I guess the reaction would be like this. It's not the first time I've seen the same reaction.

“You have a child?” ask Angga.

“Iya, Keano my son. We just chat outside, yeah,” take me.

I stepped out of the cafe and sat on the terrace stairs. There are two short steps before entering the cafe. Angga sat beside me. Now our distance is only separated by a few hands.

“You're married?” ask Angga.

I shook my head in response.

“Then how do you have children? Who is that man, who is his father, Kalila?” Angga asked again, his face looking so serious.

For two years we hadn't met, his jaw line seemed more firm. Her hair was also longer, and her body was a little more stuffy. Only his eyes never changed, he always looked at me with the twinkle of his amazingly glittering eyes.

“You've eaten?” I switched the conversation.

“I asked who that man was?” the tone of Angga's voice was somewhat elevated.

“Keano is not my biological child, he is the son of Melody,” I replied.

“Melody?” Angga doesn't believe.

“Iya, Melody was my classmate. You know him too?”

“Why is his son with you?”

“His father was treated at RS and died yesterday afternoon. Tomorrow he will go home and take Keano. I only keep it for a while.” I looked up at the stars in the night sky.

“Sorry, I'm so sorry.”

“You easy emotion now?” my smile.

“Sorry, I thought you already had a girlfriend. I'm jealous.” Angga.

“You want to eat something? I'm hungry,” I hold my stomach as a sign of hunger to him.

“You order online?”

“Bby,” answered.

“Fried rice? I still remember it was your favorite food.” Angga took his phone and typed fast.

I went in and came back with two cups of hot tea. We wait for ojol to deliver our order fried rice.

“Your life must have been very heavy, La?” Angga looked at me.

“Yeah, that's it.”

“I'm really sorry, Kalila. I shouldn't have accepted your dropout request.”

“The thing that happens will never be able to change Angga. But even though many mistakes have already occurred, at least we can still look and change it for the better in the future.”

I reflected on myself, after Papa Mama died and I sold my body to Arvin, I did not necessarily drag on regretting my decision. I changed it, formed a new life that was better, and that was useful to many people. Including this cafe, Palette cafe is not just an ordinary cafe, because even though it is not much, but the donation can be contributed smoothly to the charitable foundation every month.

“Kalila, do you remember the song I sang?” suddenly Angga reminisced about the past.

“Still, why? You want to sing again?” kikihku.

“If you want to hear it.” Angga laughed.

“Alright,” my nod gave her permission to her sing.

“Listen the love of my heart crumbled dimly. If there is no you. Accompanying me,” Angga began his singing.

“Listen my love calls your name. Every night, I think of you,” so I sing along.

“I deserted deserted deserted.... If there is no you. I died dead dead dead.... If you go.” Angga shouted while laughing.

“Listen my darling. Don't leave me. Can't do it without you, listen to my beloved. Life my death to you. Please keep me!” I followed his voice. |*

His voice is still as sweet as it used to be. Still managed to sedate me to sing along with him. Angga clasped my hand as soon as the singing was done. It feels very warm. Angga brought his head closer and leaned against my shoulder.

“Preserve me, Kalila.” says.
