EPISODE 68

S2 \~ BY MY SIDE

\~ I never thought having someone to share my feelings and love would be so happy. I was comforted when he was by my side. I smiled when I saw him smile.\~

•••

The hot water vapor disappeared as I finished drying my body. I smiled happily because I had successfully teased Kalila this morning.

“You're done showering, brother? I made toast and hot milk.” heard the sound of Kalila screaming from her balcony.

Still with only a white towel wrapped, I poked out on the balcony to answer it, “already, I'm there now, yes.”

“Review if not wear clothes again!!” threaten Kalila while passing back into her room.

I smiled, I was really anxious when I saw her face blush in embarrassment. Kalila is always shy of cats, different in the mouth is different in the heart. I'm sure his heart has opened up to me, he's just too proud to admit it.

TING TONG'S...

This time I entered the right way, from the entrance, not from the balcony.

“Come, Brother! Unlocked!” kalila's screams echoed. Having obtained permission I opened the door and entered myself.

“I heat the milk. Want honey or chocolate?” kalila asked, her hands were still busy preparing breakfast on the pantry table.

“Hmm.., just haggle.” I approached and stood near the high chair in front of the pantry table.

Kalila looked engrossed in light jogging while listening to music, occasionally her hands moved flipping bread on the pan.

“What's messenger?” I was curious about the sound of the singer coming out of the bluetooth speaker.

“Justin, I'm a fan of him.” kikih Kalila.

“Oh, it turns out Beibers mania,” connect me.

“Hahaha.., you were right. Sit, Brother! It's ripe.”

“Oke.”

Kalila arranged the toast, the eggs of the cow's eye, the bacon, and the tomatoes, then covered them again with a piece of toast.

“You want tomato sauce? A sambal? Mustards? Mayo?” tawar Kalila's.

“Sambal aja, deh,” I replied. Kalila pressed a bottle of chili sauce on the edge of the plate.

Kalila ate the rest of the tomato pieces, then stirred and drank the warm milk. His mouth and hands continued to work, while his chin was bearded due to the rhythm of the music. I slowly looked at her behavior.

“Why?” tanyakanya.

“No, I love the way you enjoy life.” I smiled at him.

“Yeah, this way. Hearing music can build mood in the morning.” Kalila smiled, ah, a sweet smile.

We talked and laughed together. There are not many stories that we can share, because we have not known each other for long. Even though it was just a short conversation it still felt like getting to know and love more and more.

We sat together on the brown sofa, I sat on the right end and Kalila sat on the other side. We're facing each other. I bent my knees slightly to be comfortable, so did Kalila. Kalila bent her knees and made her thighs the back of a sketchbook.

Kalila looks really pretty in a big dark blue shirt. The shirt he wears always makes one of his shoulders visible. Kalila occasionally corrected it, although she knew soon the collar would again sag down.

There is nothing special about her, no makeup, no accessories, no fancy clothes. So, why would a woman with such an ordinary appearance be able to make me so crazy about her?

“Why see me so attached? Anything weird?” kalila asked, he touched her face.

“Beautiful, I see you because you're beautiful, baby.” I smiled and enjoyed the warm drink.

“Basic!” If she was struggling slowly, she must have hidden her blushing face.

I looked back at his face, his long black hair down the front side of his face from being too serious about drawing.

“Oh, this is my Papa shirt. I always wear it when I sleep. While wearing it I felt Papa was hugging me, so I could sleep well.” Kalila answered my question, but her hand was still scraping her sketchbook.

“Did you miss them?”

“Always. Every second and minute.” Kalila was silent for a moment, she put down her pencil and looked at me with her teary eyes.

“Sorry, Kalila. I didn't mean to make you remember those memories.” I got up to embrace him.

“Why should I lose them, brother? Why?!” lirih Kalila was sad.

“I don't know, Kalila. But surely God has arranged the beautiful thing behind every incident.” I stroked Kalila's head.

“Even their deaths became a gift for my birthday. Wh why? Why is God so joking with my life?” Kalila was crying and sobbing in my arms. He smacked my chest softly with his fist.

“Crying, Kalila. If it can make you relieved.” I patted her on the back, only that calmness I could give her.

“I sometimes hate them! Why did they leave me alone?! Why do I still have to live?! Why didn't they take me?!” Kalila shouted and roared, her tears flowing unstoppably again.

“Sorry, Kalila. I'm sorry, I was stupid to bring up her parents.

“Huhuhu...,” the sound of Kalila's crying makes my heart wistful. I felt guilty for desecrating him when he lost his parents. When he lost everything.

“Hey, baby, look at me,” I slipped my hand on the outer side of his face, raised his head so that our gaze met.

“Hiks...,” Kalila still sobbing, but still looking at me.

“Be assured there will always be a rainbow after the rain, rest assured that they are happy in heaven there, rest assured that the life you are living now is a gift from them.” I stroked and wiped her tears with my thumb.

“My heart hurts so much, Sister,” Kalila brushed tightly on the shirt in front of her chest.

“It hurts...,” he continued.

“I know, Kalila.”

“Sometimes I hope to come with them only.” he said full of disappointment.

“Then I how? If you go me how?!” I'm a little loud.

I've been looking for her all this time, I've always missed her, I want her, and I need her too. If he leaves I have to what? How is my life without him? I need it to heal.

“Kak Arvin.” Kalila looked at me with her round eyes widened in shock.

“Never try to get away from my side, Kalila!! No!” I hugged her tightly, I was sure I must have hurt her with my hug.

“There are still people who love you, Kalila. Who expects you,” I put in his ears.

I gently rubbed her face and also tidied her messed up hair. His face stiffened with sadness.

“There's still me who loves you, baby. There's still me who wants you.”

Kalila wrapped her arms around my neck. I kissed her lips, I kissed her softly, I never thought I would have someone to share my feelings and love would be so happy. I was comforted when he was by my side. I smiled when I saw him smile.

“Please promise you'll always be by my side, baby.”
