Chapters 10. Just Want to Be Queen

While in front of the Queen's palace, King Alec meets Countess Sarah. Countess Sarah was so happy, she finally got to see King Alec. But Countess Sarah tried to cover her happiness by showing a sad face.

"Sincerely, Your Majesty." Countess Sarah.

"What are you doing here, Countess Sarah?" Asked King Alec coldly.

"Hamba wants to see Her Majesty the Queen. I want to explain to Her Majesty the Queen if the rumors are not true. I feel very ashamed and unkind to the Queen. Because the existence of the servant in the palace has given rise to rumors that are not good. I hope Your Majesty the Queen does not misunderstand His Majesty the King." Countess Sarah answered with her own face.

King Alec was silent and contemplated.

"The Queen's Majesty is inside, Her Majesty the King." Answer the Queen's servant.

The waiter opened the room door. King Alec and Countess Sarah.

"Sincerely, Her Majesty the Queen. His Majesty the King and Countess Sarah are coming to see you." Report one of the servants.

Countess Sarah was amazed to see the splendor and beauty of Queen Roseline's room. It felt like he was eager to lay his body on the Queen's soft bed. The bed in the guest pavilion was indeed good, but it was still far less luxurious than the Queen's bed.

"Sincerely servant, Your Majesty the King." Queen Roseline.

King Alec just nodded. King Alec widened his eyes when he saw the Queen sitting back in place while continuing to peel the skin of the apple. King Alec immediately sat down before the Queen, while Countess Sarah remained standing beside the King.

"Does Your Majesty want to eat apples too?" Ask Queen Roseline.

"Will the Queen do it for me?" King Alec asked back with a smile.

Queen Roseline smiled cynically.

"There is no Countess Sarah who is always ready to serve His Majesty the King." The Queen of Roseline.

King Alec's smile disappeared, then he clenched his hand.

"What did His Majesty the King and Countess Sarah come here for? Can't you wait to get married soon? Your Majesty the King need not worry, I will not obstruct your wedding plans. Do whatever you want. I don't give a shit. Do I need to prepare a wedding for you?" Queen Roseline said casually.

Countess Sarah smiled faintly. Her heart was very happy to hear that Queen Roseline had agreed that Her Majesty the King would marry her.

"Queen!" King Alec's Jerk.

"How can you say such a thing so easily?" Shouted King Alec.

"Not the rumor spread. Even the nobles and palace officials had already agreed. They were very happy if His Majesty the King remarried and had a concubine. In the near future Count Donovan will return from the Kingdom of Gorzan." Queen Roseline.

"With His Majesty the King remarrying, His Majesty could soon be given a descendant. I, the Queen of the Kingdom of Cardania is a useless queen because until now I have not been able to give the heir to the throne of this kingdom." Queen Roseline added with a bland smile.

King Alec's emotions instantly descended upon seeing the scarred gaze from Queen Roseline's eyes. King Alec knew if the Queen's words were insinuating him. In reality it is not the Queen's fault that she cannot give an heir, but because the King never touches the Queen. And now everyone is handing over the blame to the Queen.

"The rumor is not true of the Queen. My relationship with Countess Sarah is not what the Queen thinks. Isn't that Countess Sarah? I beg Countess Sarah, explain to the Queen not to misunderstand." King Alec.

"Truly Her Majesty the Queen. His Majesty the King is indeed very kind to the servant. But His Majesty the King still loves the Queen." Countess Sarah softly said.

Queen Roseline laughed.

"Don't talk about love in front of me. There is no such thing as love, only suffering. Maybe you feel love, but not with me." Queen Roseline.

Countess Sarah knelt down.

"Hamba please, the Queen don't misunderstand. The Servant and His Majesty the King did not have any special relationship. Trust His Majesty the King." Countess Sarah said in a warm tone.

"Why do you still not trust the Queen? Even Countess Sarah to her knees before you." Ask King Alec.

And Countess Sarah must also swear that she will never marry His Majesty the King, even if His Majesty the King asks for it." Queen Roseline said with a smile.

Countess Sarah looked down. She gritted her teeth and both her hands squeezed her dress.

King Alec became furious.

"I know what's in your brain, fox." Inner Queen Roseline grinned.

"Hamba beg the Queen. I beg you not to misunderstand His Majesty the King." Countess Sarah said, trying to get up and touch the hand of Queen Roseline.

However, Queen Roseline had already stood up so that their hands did not touch. Countess Sarah accidentally stepped on her own dress, so she fell over. His elbow nudged the tray on the table and the cup fell so that hot tea water spilled on his arm, just above his nearly healed wound.

"Aarr!!" Shouted Countess Sarah.

"Countess Sarah!" The King of Alec.

Countess Sarah wept feeling the heat and pain in her arms.

"Marquess Filan's. Waiter." Call King Alec.

Marquess Filan and Nara immediately entered. They were both shocked to see Countess Sarah curled up on the floor and in pain.

"Miss!" Shouted Nara.

Nara approached Countess Sarah.

"What's going on, Miss?" Ask Nara.

Countess Sarah did not answer and just cried.

"What happened, Your Majesty?" Ask Marquess Filan.

"Countess Sarah's arm was doused in hot tea water." Answer King Alec.

Marquess Filan rounded her eyes, then looked towards Queen Roseline. Nara also looked directly at Queen Roseline.

"What's wrong Miss Your Majesty's servant? Miss Sarah came here to explain the rumors that were circulating so that Her Majesty the Queen did not misunderstand Her Majesty the King. But why would Her Majesty the Queen have the heart to expose Miss Sarah to hot tea?" Accuse Nara.

"Please!" King Alec's Jerk.

"How dare a servant like you accuse the Queen recklessly? The queen is innocent. Countess Sarah fell to herself and nudged the tray on the table, so the cup fell and the hot tea spilled on her arm. The queen didn't even touch her one bit." The Reject of King Alec.

Nara widened her eyes in disbelief. Countess Sarah bit her lower lip after hearing King Alec's anger in defense of Queen Roseline.

"Marquess Filan punish the whip to this selfless servant!" The King of Alec's.

"Nor Your Majesty, I beg you not to punish Nara. I apologize for the stupidity of the servant." Please Countess Sarah.

"But he has been presumptuous to accuse the Queen." King Alec said he did not accept it.

"That's what His Majesty is. As for how many whips you give him, his behavior will remain the same and will not change. If there is a servant who does not know manners, it is not his fault but the fault of his master who does not teach him proper discipline and manners." Said Queen Roseline.

"But the Queen?" King Alec's.

"You'd better get Countess Sarah out of here and find a healer to treat her wound." Queen Roseline.

Nara with the help of the other servants immediately brought Countess Sarah back to the guest pavilion. While Marquess Filan asked the other servants to call the healer to check the condition of Countess Sarah.

"Why is His Majesty still here? Should His Majesty the King accompany Countess Sarah, he must be in dire need of His Majesty's whereabouts beside him." Queen Roseline.

"Is it that easy that you push me into another woman's arms?" King Alec asked with a sad look.

"Why should the easy thing be made difficult Your Majesty? As long as the Queen's position remains mine, I don't care. No matter how many women His Majesty brought into the palace and made them His Majesty's concubines, their positions remain far below me." Answer Queen Roseline.

King Alec laughed.

"Position? So, this whole Queen position you wanted?" Ask King Alec.

"alright. If that's what you want. I'll make sure the Queen's position will always be yours and no one will be able to take it from you." Said King Alec with a reddened face in anger mixed with disappointment.

King Alec who was filled with anger, immediately left the Queen's palace with Marquess Filan. Queen Roseline saw King Alec leave from behind the window of her room. His heart ached when he saw the disappointment in King Alec's eyes.

"This must be Queen Roseline's true feelings." Queen Roseline (Alice) murmured while touching her painful chest.
