Chapter 64. Proposal

King Abraham and Queen Cetta arrive in the Kingdom of Cardania to see the state of Lady Xena.

"Welcome King Abraham, Queen Cetta." Welcome King Alec.

"King Alec." Both Sahut.

"Lady Xena is awake, you can meet her." King Alec.

"Servant! Take King Abraham and Queen Cetta to Lady Xena's room."

"Queen, you go first with the waiter and meet Xena. I have something to talk to King Alec about." Said King Abraham.

"All right, Sire."

Queen Cetta immediately went to Lady Xena's room delivered by the palace attendants. King Alec invited King Abraham into his private room.

"What do you want to talk about, King Abraham?"

"It's about your wedding plans with Princess Viviane. Can't you cancel it?" Ask King Abraham.

"I've made my decision. I'll still be leaving for the Liam Kingdom."

"What about Queen Roseline? Don't you think about her feelings? I beg you to abort that, King Alec."

King Alec pursed his lips. "I don't even know where my Queen is currently. And my kingdom needs a queen. You don't have to bother thinking about my personal life, King Abraham. You'd better catch up with your queen to see Lady Xena."

"I'm sorry." King Abraham said with a guilty face.

King Alec just nodded. King Abraham immediately went to Lady Xena's room. Marquess Filan told me that the dress and the ornament that King Alec ordered had been made.

"Tonight we also set out for the Kingdom of Liam. Prepare everything." King Alec.

"This evening, Sire? Shouldn't we be leaving in two days?" Marquess Filan did not understand why their departure plans were being advanced.

"Faster, better. Just carry out my orders without protesting." King Alec left Marquess Filan still dumbfounded.

In Lady Xena's room, King Abraham couldn't hold back his tears when he saw the woman he thought was his own sister lying weakly on the bed.

"Sister, don't cry. I'll be fine. Is not God very good to me, He still gives me the opportunity to be with you." Lady Xena smiled.

King Abraham wiped away his tears. "Why are you doing something this stupid, Xena? What if God really calls you back? Don't you think about all of our feelings and the Queen Mother's feelings? The Queen Mother was endlessly crying when she found out what had happened to you."

"I'm sure you would do the same if you were in my position. Brother will definitely sacrifice sister's life for sister Cetta." Answer Lady Xena.

"But you sacrificed your life for someone who doesn't necessarily have the same feelings as you, my sister."

Lady Xena simply smiled without answering. Shortly thereafter, Physician Fey entered with General Azel.

"Honor, King Abraham and Queen Cetta. Physician Fey has come to check on Lady Xena's condition." Said General Azel.

"Please, Physician. Please check on my sister." Answer King Abraham.

The maid immediately closed the bed net as Physician Fey examined Lady Xena's wound.

"King Abraham, I want to apologize for what happened to Lady Xena. I owe a lot of life to Lady Xena." Said General Azel.

"You don't have to apologize, General. Everything that happened wasn't your fault." Answer King Abraham.

"Sorry, General. Outside is Countess Irina who wants to meet you." Report a waiter.

General Azel immediately went out to meet Countess Irina. While inside his room, Physician Fey painstakingly cleaned and bandaged back Lady Xena's wounds. Lady Xena closed her eyes as she endured the pain, but not because of the wounds on her body but knowing that General Azel already had a lover.

The waiter raised the mosquito net back after Physician Fey finished with his task.

"How's my brother, Doctor?" Ask King Abraham.

"Lady Xena's condition is getting better, Sire. But I suggest that Lady Xena stay here until she recovers. The servant was worried that his wound would deteriorate if Lady Xena had to travel a long way towards the Sun Kingdom." The Physician Fey.

"Do your best, Doctor. I'll ask King Alec for permission so that Xena can be treated here until she recovers." Said King Abraham.

"No need, Sire. His Majesty King Alec has given permission and asked the servant to take care of Lady Xena until she is healed." The Physician Fey.

"What Physician Fey said is true, Sire. Lady Xena will get treatment from the best healers and doctors in this palace until she is fully healed." Sahut General Azel.

General Azel stared at Lady Xena, but Lady Xena threw her face away and looked the other way.

"Thank you General. I'll also thank King Alec in person." Said King Abraham.

Physician Fey resigned. For a moment, silence enveloped the room.

"Ekh." General Azel berkehem.

"King Abraham, Queen Cetta. There's something I want to tell you, as well as Lady Xena."

"Say General, what's wrong?" King Abraham's.

General Azel took a deep breath making everyone become curious.

"I want to ask permission directly to the King and Queen of the Sun Kingdom."

King Abraham and Queen Cetta looked confused and threw eyes at each other.

"I want to propose to Lady Xena and make her my wife." General Azel said firmly.

Everyone widened their eyes, especially Lady Xena.

"Did I hear wrong?" Lady Xena tried to raise her voice.

General Azel walked over, then knelt on the edge of the bed. General Azel took out a small red box and opened it before Lady Xena. Inside was a beautiful ring with jewels. Lady Xena rounded her eyes.

"Will you be my wife, Lady Xena?" Said General Azel.

Lady Xena was very surprised, yet she still could not believe what she saw and heard.

"Why did you do it General? Is it because you feel like you owe me your life?"

"Because I wanted to make you my wife, my life partner." Answer General Azel.

General Azel scratched his forehead. "The woman I love? Who?"

"Countess Irina."

General Azel laughed softly making Lady Xena look puzzled.

"Countess Irina is a woman who is about 40 years old and she is the wife of Count Albertus. Their families have a business selling jewelry. He's here to deliver the ring I ordered specifically for you, Lady Xena."

General Azel took the ring and showed it to Lady Xena. "Here also has your name written."

Lady Xena was stunned to see the beautiful ring and had her name engraved there.

"I don't know what love is like. All I know is, I want to have you. My heart aches when I see you hurt and cry. I'm afraid you'll go far. And I always wanted to see you smile happily. Maybe I can't say right now that I love you, but I'm gonna learn to love you, Lady Xena."

Lady Xena cried when she heard General Azel's statement.

"Are you willing to marry me?"

Lady Xena smiled. "Basic fool. Why are you still asking me, General. It was a wish I craved. I'm willing to be your wife and part of my life."

General Azel was very happy to hear Lady Xena's reply. Happiness was also felt by King Abraham and Queen Cetta. Queen Cetta hugged her husband and cried happily.

"I am so happy to hear this happy news. You need to get well soon, Xena, and I'll prepare a grand wedding for you both." Said King Abraham.

"Of course, Brother. I can't wait to be the wife of this cold great General." Lady Xena answered with great enthusiasm, to the laughter of General Azel and King Abraham.

In the courtyard of the palace, King Alec's entourage was ready to depart. King Alec is seen coming out of the palace of Queen Mother Helene. King Alec met his mother before leaving for the Kingdom of Liam.

"Is everything ready?" Ask King Alec.

"Here you go, Sire." Answer Marquess Filan.

King Alec entered the chariot, and the royal retinue departed immediately.

After traveling for almost a day, King Alec's entourage arrived in the Kingdom of Liam at night. Their arrival was greeted with joyful cheers by the palace residents. King Henry was greatly surprised by King Alec's arrival sooner than the appointed time. But he also felt very happy because King Alec had completely fulfilled his wish.

"Welcome, King Alec." Welcome King Henry.

"King Henry." King Alec replied coldly.

The two shake hands.

"Dad." There was a voice coming from behind King Henry.

A beautiful red-haired woman came into the room. Wearing a luxurious dress and a small tiara embedded on his head made him look very graceful.

"King Alec, introduce this is my daughter, Viviane." Said King Henry.

Princess Viviane extended her hand with a smile. King Alec welcomed her and shook the hand without kissing her, making Princess Viviane look disappointed.

"So you are my future husband, that very famous king. The rumor is true. You are a very handsome king, King Alec." Said Princess Viviane while pursing her lips.

King Alec did not reply and only gave him a glance. Soon, two women of different ages came along and joined them.

"Include this is my wife, Consort Maria and my second daughter, Princess Viona."

"Welcome, Your Majesty King Alec." Say them while paying respect.

King Alec just nodded slowly.

"There's something I want to talk to you about, King Henry. Just the two." King Alec.

"Do you want to speed up our wedding day, Sire?" Princess Viviane asked with a sparkling face.

"really? Let's go to my private room, King Alec, to discuss this matter." King Henry was enthusiastic.

"And you, have the servant serve the drink to King Alec and deliver it into my room."

King Henry and King Alec entered King Henry's private quarters. Princess Viviane pulled the tip of her lips upon seeing the two men's departure.

"Looks like you look so happy, Princess Viviane." Consort Maria said.

Princess Viviane turned her gaze to Consort Maria and Princess Viona.

"Of course, I'm very happy." Reply Princess Viviane cynically.

"But it seems like King Alec doesn't like you. He keeps staring at you cold." Princess Viona said in a mocking tone.

"At least he still wants to look at me with his dingian gaze, Viona. Than you who continue to spread your flirtatious smile but not glanced at all by King Alec. I know Viona, you're always trying to take whatever I have. But baby, you always fail." Princess Viviane said with a condescending look.

Princess Viviane immediately left Concubine Maria and Princess Viona who were holding back angrily.
