Chapters 17. Antidote

King Alec could only remain helpless. In his mind he kept thinking about Queen Roseline. He had been lying down for two days and the Queen had never come to see him.

"Sorry Baroness Yolanda and Countess Sarah, His Majesty the King is resting and should not be disturbed." The sound of King Alec's room doorkeeper.

"How dare you forbid me to meet His Majesty the King. I'm King Alec's aunt." Yolanda Baroness.

King Alec gave the code through his eye movements to the healer Ma. Physician Ma immediately stood up and opened the door.

"Why are you so noisy and noisy? Didn't I tell you that His Majesty the King is resting and needs calm." Ask doctor Ma.

Countess Sarah picked up a bucket of clean water and a washcloth on the table by the bed. Countess Sarah gently wiped the face, neck and arms of King Alec.

"How dare this woman touch me? The queen should have done it instead of another woman." The inner King Alec was upset.

"You are indeed the heart of an angel, Countess Sarah. You care deeply and pay attention to His Majesty the King." Baroness Yolanda.

Empress Dowager Helene let out a rough breath, then stared intently at Baroness Yolanda and Countess Sarah.

"Calm down, sister-in-law. Our goal here is good. We want to visit and take care of the King, there is no other purpose. Brother should thank Countess Sarah for kindly paying attention to the King's condition versus the Queen's." Baroness Yolanda.

"Shut your mouth Yolanda." Suri Helene's Mother.

Baroness Yolanda gasped. She tried to contain her anger by squeezing her dress.

"Are the warnings and slaps I gave you not enough to resuscitate you Countess Sarah? Do I need to drag you out of the palace to get you away from the King?" Suri Helene asked with her cold face.

By late afternoon, Empress Dowager Helene returned to her palace. Marquess Filan accompanied King Alec.

"Your Majesty. What Her Majesty the Queen Mother said was true. Don't listen to all the words of Baroness Yolanda. The queen isn't that bad." Marquess Filan.

Queen Roseline has arrived at the queen's palace. Queen Roseline soon changed places with Arabella.

The same was true of Marie and Dean.

Queen Roseline simply nodded her head with a smile.

"Why does Her Majesty's face look pale? Is Your Majesty sick?" Ask Marie.

Physician Ma had prepared the antidote to the poison from the black rose extract and brought it before King Alec.

"Your Majesty, please take the antidote." Pinta the physician Ma.

"Your Majesty, please take this medicine so that Your Majesty can recover soon." Marquess Filan.

King Alec rounded his eyes upon hearing the Queen's arrival. Queen Roseline immediately entered King Alec's room.

"Sincerely, Her Majesty the Queen." Said Marquess Filan and physician Ma saluting.

Queen Roseline looked at the medicine that was in the bowl.

"Why hasn't the medicine been taken?" Queen Roseline asked coldly.

"For Queen. The king refused to take this medicine." Answer physician Ma.

"Huhahh... Damnit damnit! Just trouble." Queen Roseline said irritatedly as she looked at King Alec coldly.

King Alec hardened his jaw.

"You two just wait outside. Let me overcome this spoiled king of yours." Queen Roseline.

Marquess Filan and healer Ma immediately walked out of King Alec's room.

"Why don't you want to take your medicine, King? Do you think this is poison?" Ask Queen Roseline.

King Alec just stared at him sharply.

"Aren't you happy if I'm not around. You can be the ruler of Cardania." King Alec replied with a movement of his lips.

Queen Roseline laughed.

"I want to be a ruler. But unfortunately I don't want to be a widow at such a young age." Queen Roseline said cynically.

Queen Roseline took the medicine bowl and brought it closer to King Alec's lips. King Alec shook his head and closed his lips tightly.

"You're really troublesome. Did you know getting this drug takes a fight?" Said Queen Roseline with an increasingly upset face.

Queen Roseline snorted in annoyance.

"alright. There's no other way."

Queen Roseline stuffed the antidote into her mouth, then her hand held the face of King Alec. Queen Roseline put the medicine into King Alec's mouth through his lips. King Alec widened his eyes as Queen Roseline's soft lips came into contact with his. The antidote flowed into King Alec's throat smoothly.

Queen Roseline took off the link of their lips, then wiped her lips using her hands.

"If after this you die from taking this medicine, then I too will die. We both took the medicine." Said Queen Roseline with her cold gaze.

King Alec was still speechless due to his shock. Queen Roseline immediately stood up and stepped out of King Alec's room. Marquess Filan and healer Ma immediately approached him.

"The king drank it. Make sure he is always under your supervision. More tightening up the guard here. Don't let anyone see the King, except me and Queen Helene." Queen Roseline.

"Your Majesty." Answer Marquess Filan.

Queen Roseline was a little unsteady and almost fell down.

"His Majesty the Queen!"

King Alec was shocked to hear the screams from outside his room. Not long after, Marquess Filan entered.

"What's going on?" Asked King Alec without a sound.

"There is no His Majesty. The Queen just slipped, but everything's fine." Marquess Filan replied with a smile.

King Alec simply nodded, then closed his eyes with a slight turning of his lips. His heart flowered when he remembered the moment of their kiss.
