Chapter 99. Disappointment

Alice immediately prepared after finishing her cooking activities. This morning Alice has cooked one of the typical foods from Indonesia, namely rendang. Given Xander likes to eat processed beef foods. Alice scrutinized her appearance from the reflection of the mirror while smiling faintly. For this date, she chose a casual style by combining white blouse v-neck and straight pants yellow, so that it displays a minimalist and effortlessly stylish style.

From the window of her room, Alice saw Xander's car had just arrived at the mansion's courtyard. Alice turned her lips. He went back to the mirror to look at her appearance again. The hair tied to a ponytail made her look even more dazzling.

"Why should I be this happy?" Alice was astonished at herself.

"It's normal, Alice. Don't make the XS big. I just want to repay her kindness that made my heart happy yesterday. That's all it is. And once this dating contract is over I'll get my necklace back and my life free of it." Mumbled.

Alice immediately got off in the elevator. While in the living room Alice is surprised to see Scott, Xander's men sit on the sofa. Scott immediately stood up and saluted.

"Good morning, Miss Quinn." Sapa Scott while smiling as usual.

"Morning. Where's your boss?" Alice asked coldly.

"Please sit down, Miss." Scott.

"I'm the host here." Alice's heart is.

"I asked, where is your boss? And why is your annoying face appearing before me?"

Scott chuckled at the insults. He was not at all offended by Alice's scathing remark.

"Miss sit down first."

Alice immediately dropped her body on the sofa.

"Now answer my question." Indict Alice.

Scott thrust out a paper bag that he had placed on the table in front of Alice. With an annoyed face, Alice took the paper bag and opened it. Alice took out a black jewelry box and opened it.

"It right?" His voice was choked when he saw his ruby jeweled necklace.

"Mr Xander gave this necklace to Miss." Xander.

"Why? Isn't the date still one day away?" Alice did not understand.

"Tell me, where is Xander now?"

"Mr Xander has left the country, Miss." Answer Scott.

Alice rounded her eyes.

"You mean he's gone."

Scott nodded. "Mr Xander has terminated your dating contract and handed this ruby necklace to you."

Alice's breath was blocked. There was a sense of disappointment, annoyance and anger raging in his heart.

"Why didn't he give it to me himself?"

"Because Mr. Xander has a very important and urgent matter at this time." Answer Scott.

Alice laughed blandly. "A very important solution."

Scott stood up immediately. "Then I go first. Have a nice day Miss."

Alice was silent and did not reply. Scott stopped his steps and turned his body around.

"Ah. I have something to ask Miss." It was the excitement that made Alice lift her face.

"Why did Miss give Mr Xander the nickname "X-tra Small?"

Alice scrunched her forehead.

"While it belongs to Mr. Xander it's Mambo jumbo ice. If the size of a baseball bat is small, then what size big one is Miss? Is it the size of a pine tree trunk?" Ask Scott casually.

Alice's emotions were unstoppable again. He picks up the shuriken stored under the table and throws it at Scott. Scott managed to dodge quickly, and the shuriken nearly stuck it in his forehead.

"Wow... Waw... Relax Miss. I'm just curious. Mr. Xander is a rare man who has never been touched."

Glacier...!

Scott swallowed his coarse salivary as he stared at some shuriken with a blade that undoubtedly had its sharpness in Alice's hands and was ready to rain down on her body.

"Basic stupid! You've woken up a lioness, Scott." His murmured then passed by as fast as he could to avoid the shuriken's attack.

"Aargh!!!"

One shuriken hit Scott's left arm. Fresh blood came out from behind his black suit. Scott immediately got into the car and drove it at full speed leaving the Quinn mansion. Scott pressed his arm so that his blood would not continue to come out laughing.

"really amazing. I'm so proud of you, Sir."

Alice took the lunchbox she had prepared earlier and was about to throw it into the trash.

"What's up, Alice? Why do you want to throw away that food? Haven't you been working hard to make it since this morning?" Ask Mr. Abraham.

"No one's gonna eat it, Grandpa. Better to just throw it away."

Mr. Abraham scratched his forehead.

"Xander has left the country. She ended our dating contract without telling me directly. So this food is no longer of any use." Alice said as she hardened her jaw.

"Isn't that good. You no longer need to waste your precious time with that man." Said Mr. Abraham.

"Grandfather's right. I got my necklace back anyway." Alice Sahut.

"It looks like you're disappointed."

"What kind of empty cup is a cake. That's an impossible thing for me. In fact my heart is very happy now." Alice forced her smile.

"Goodoo. But this food is innocent. Just give it to Grandpa. This will be my most delicious provisions during the trip to Italy later."

Mr. Abraham took the lunchbox and handed it to his men, before Alice threw it in the trash. Alice took a deep breath to control her emotions.

"Will Grandpa be long in Italy?" Ask Alice spoiled.

"About one week. But Grandpa didn't try that long. Grandfather also could not bear to leave this grieving granddaughter."

"Isa. Who is sad, Mother?" Alice said while grunting in annoyance.

"All right, my favorite grandson. Grandpa left first. You take good care of yourself. And don't hold on too long."

"Grandfather?!" Alice was upset.

It's been a week Alice's mood is bad. He gets angry and irritable. No matter how small the mistake made by his men, Alice would scold him all out. Like this time Alice entered the room with a reddened face followed by Jacob and Bella who were behind her.

"Basic is not becus! How can you help me and let the rats undermine my company?" Alice snapped after firing three employees who were in the financial section because they were caught doing corruption.

"We apologize for this negligence, Miss. We promise, something like this won't happen again." Jacob.

"Yes, Miss. I'll be more observant and careful again from now on."

"I don't need your promises, but proof."

"Good, Miss." Jacob and Bella answered at the same time.

Jacob and Bella immediately walked out of Alice's room.

"I've felt lately Miss Alice's emotions are out of control. Miss looks so cranky." Say Bella carefully.

"Minister's mood is not good at the moment. We need to be more careful now, not to make Miss angry again." The words of Jacob, which Bella was referring to.

Alice threw her body in the seat of her greatness.

"Lately my emotions have continued to overflow. All because of that perverted and broke guy, Xander Smith. Before I hit him hard on the face, my heart would continue to heat up. How dare he break a promise. That selfless man has made me wake up early and cook for him like a fool." His grunt.

Alice does not accept Xander breaking their dating contract just like that and leaves without saying anything. Alice felt played. Alice closed her eyes.

"Why don't you ever show up in my dreams again, Alec? I miss you so much." Sluggishly.

"Sorry sir, Miss Alice is not in the mood to be disturbed right now."

"I'm used to coming here. Alice couldn't possibly reject me. Keep that attitude."

There was a debate between Bella and a man whose voice was very familiar Alice. Alice let out a rough breath as the door of her room opened.

"Hi, Alice." Say hello Jason.

"Sorry Miss. I've been trying to hold back but Mr. Jason is forcing me to come in and see you."

"It's okay, Bella. Go back to work."

Bella's coming out.

"Do you want to come here, Jason? If you intend to take me to lunch together, my answer remains the same "no"." Firm Alice.

"Why did you do that to me, Alice?" Ask Jason.

Alice only showed her flat face.

"You want to eat with that disabled man. Then why do you refuse to eat with a perfect man like me?"

Alice stiffened her jaw. "So long as you're stalking me."

"I didn't mean it that way. I just want to make sure you're okay." Elak Jason's.

"Sad. What difference? You've gone too far Jason. How dare you interfere in my personal affairs." Said Alice by showing her displeased expression.

"alright. I'm sorry. I did it because I was really worried about you, Alice."

"But I really don't understand you. How can you sit with a man who is not only handicapped but ugly. I'm sure the mask he used must have been to cover his ugly face." Said Jason in a condescending tone.

"Man who has a perfect physique is not necessarily his heart is holy and not rotten. And vice versa." Alice said cynically.

Bella knocked on the door and entered the room.

"Sorry Miss. Mr. Parker came and wanted to see Miss." Report Bella.

"Send him in."

"Good, Miss." Bella's coming out.

"You heard for yourself I'm busy right now and there's an important guest. You better go, Jason." Said Alice.

"alright. This time I give up again. But I'll be back. I won't give up until you answer "yes", Alice."

Jason stepped his foot towards the door.

"Good day, Alice." Say hello to Sean who came in with a bouquet of white roses.

Jason halted his steps and stared intently at Sean.

"Did my arrival bother you?" Ask Sean.

Jason will answer but is preceded by Alice.

"Not at all, Sean. Jason's leaving here. Isn't Jason?"

Jason's jaw is hardened. He tried to force his smile.
