Chapter 25. Feeding Party Together
"Filane. Why does the queen's palace seem deserted?" King Alec asked with his confused face.
King Alec and Marquess Filan visited the queen's palace. But when the two entered the queen's palace, the palace looked desolate and there were only 4 warriors on guard.
"It looks like the Queen is having a party with the inhabitants of this palace, Your Majesty." Answer Marquess Filan.
"party? With the queen's palace residents?" King Alec did not understand.
"Every once a week, the Queen always holds a dinner party together with the servants and guards of this palace. And the Queen herself cooks her food with a kind of foreign food in this kingdom." Marquess Filan.
King Alec rounded his eyes. Marquess Filan's explanation made him curious.
"Since when? And why did I never know?"
"At a moment before His Majesty returns from the Brilliant Kingdom. More precisely when the Queen woke up after two days unconscious. That is why His Majesty does not know. And also, because before that His Majesty was too busy paying attention to Countess Sarah." Said Marquess Filan in a satirical tone.
King Alec instantly gave him a sharp look.
"Didn't you love your life anymore, Filan?" snapper King Alec.
"Hamba just wanted to give an honest answer to His Majesty." Marquess Filan smiled.
King Alec threw his breath out harshly.
"Take me to where the party is!" King Alec said in annoyance.
Marquess Filan immediately guided King Alec to a park near an artificial lake located inside the queen's palace. King Alec was wide-eyed when he saw Queen Roseline sitting on a rug with her servants and guards. They seem to be enjoying their food. They even threw jokes at each other without any rules of court manners that showed the caste differences between them.
King Alec was even more surprised when he saw Queen Roseline could smile widely when he heard the stories and jokes from her servants. The servants and guards laughed off his back. Marie who saw the arrival of King Alec and Marquess Filan immediately stopped laughing.
"His Majesty the King." Exciting Marie.
The servants and guards immediately gasped, then stopped their eating activities. Everyone immediately stood up and saluted King Alec. Cold sweat poured out in their bodies out of fear.
"Just disturb." His Queen Roseline.
Queen Roseline let out a long sigh, then stood up and saluted.
"What is it in your interest that Your Majesty comes here?" Queen Roseline asked coldly.
"I want to see you Queen and I have something to talk to you about." Answer King Alec.
"Can you postpone your Majesty first? Because right now the servant is busy with the inhabitants of the queen's palace." Queen Roseline.
King Alec hardened his jaw.
"So the Queen would rather eat with these servants and guards, and ignore me."
"Hamba did not mean to ignore His Majesty the King. It's just that today is the day where the servant held a meal with the inhabitants of this queen's palace. That's all." Said Queen Roseline casually.
"Please forgive Her Majesty the Queen. We ask permission to resign because His Majesty the King wants to see the Queen." Speak the head of the guard.
The servants and guards immediately rushed to leave.
"Nobody would dare to leave here, even if it was only one step. Or I'll take you as traitors and kick you out of my palace." Threatening Queen Roseline.
They were silent and did not dare to move. King Alec was greatly impressed by their loyalty to their Queen.
"Alright, I can postpone our conversation later. But in exchange, am I and Marquess Filan allowed to join you guys?" Ask King Alec.
The occupants of the queen's palace gasped but still lowered their heads without daring to lift it. Queen Roseline looked at King Alec sharply.
"As long as His Majesty the King does not mind sitting in line with the servants and guards. And His Majesty the King did not make them feel burdened for having to eat together with His Majesty. Because during the party we all put our status and position aside." Queen Roseline.
"No problem for me." King Alec replied with a faint smile.
The occupants of the queen's palace immediately knelt down.
"Your Majesty. We beg you not to take off His Majesty's footwear."
"stand. Right now our position is the same, the same man created by God." King Alec said casually.
Queen Roseline was quite impressed by King Alec's attitude. Queen Roseline thought that King Alec would be offended and angry if he had to sit in line with the servants and guards. King Alec immediately took a seat beside Queen Roseline. The Marquess of Filan sat next to Felix.
"Sit down all of you. Aren't you afraid of your Queen's threats?" The King of Alec.
Doubtfully the servants and guards returned to their seats. Marie immediately took the food, then served it to King Alec and Marquess Filan. The situation felt very quiet without anyone daring to make a sound.
"Be yourself. Joking and laughing like that. Just think of me as you. My queen is not happy to see your silence." King Alec's words broke the silence.
"Frodo, put out your funny story. If you can make His Majesty the King and Marquess Filan laugh, I will give you a bag of gold coins. And that goes for all of you." Queen Roseline's.
Frodo, the head of the guard, rounded his eyes. Frodo and his friends race in front of King Alec. Not only because they were tempted by the gift promised by Queen Roseline, but this moment was a very rare moment for them to be able to meet and spend time with their King and Queen simultaneously.
King Alec really enjoyed all the dishes served there. Everything felt new on his tongue, yet did not take away his appetite. King Alec was also amused by the caretakers' funny story, although his laughter did not come loose and only revealed his faint smile. But it had already made the hearts of the servants and guards happy.
Queen Roseline snorted in annoyance.
"Just now that I can enjoy my eating activities quietly, foxes and skunks come to make my appetite disappear." Grouse Queen Roseline.
King Alec and all those who were there were shocked to hear the words of Queen Roseline.
"Where are the foxes and skunks, Your Majesty? We're gonna get him and get him out of here soon." Frodo asked in a panic.
"You shut up and just sit in your place and don't have to look for it. The fox and the skunk are walking here." Queen Roseline's.
They looked at each other, then looked back when they realized that something was walking towards them. They were stunned when they saw Baroness Yolanda and Countess Sarah walking towards their place. They attempted to hold back laughter as soon as they saw the scarves and hats perched on top of their heads made of fur, resembling fox fur and skunks.
"It's so annoying. Why would they ruin my moment with the Queen?" King Alec's grouse in heart.
"It looks like Countess Sarah is the unyielding type of woman, Your Majesty." Shrill Queen Roseline while pulling one end of her lips.
"Whatever he's gonna do, I make sure it doesn't work." The King of Alec.
King Alec stared at the beautiful and beautiful lips of Queen Roseline as the two looked at each other at a very close distance. Instantly his heart was racing and his face was slightly blushing. King Alec swallowed his coarse salivation and immediately turned his face away before he got out of control.
