Chapters 20. The Rage of Baroness Yolanda

Queen Roseline poured tea for her father, while the two were in the garden behind the queen's palace.

"Please, Dad." Queen Roseline.

Duke Sullivan simply nodded and let out a long sigh.

"What exactly are you planning to do right now, Seline?" Ask Duke Sullivan.

Queen Roseline smiled. "What do you mean, Dad?"

"Why did you replace His Majesty the King? Although it was only temporary, it would trigger tremendous protests and dislike from the nobles and royal officials. I don't want them to do anything bad and hurt you, my daughter." Duke Sullivan.

Queen Roseline smiled and touched her father's hand. "Dad not to worry, Seline will be fine. Seline was forced to do so because Seline was confident they would definitely propose another ambitious person to occupy the position of King of Cardania."

"Do you know who that guy is?" Ask Duke Sullivan.

"Who else if not Baron Joseph, son of Baroness Yolanda. The late King Uther had no siblings, as did King Alec. And the only ones considered to be His Majesty's relatives are Baroness Yolanda and Baron Joseph."

Duke Sullivan nodded. Duke Sullivan confirmed what Queen Roseline had said. Baron Joseph was a learned man, yet he was renowned as a ruthless man with great ambition.

"And if that were to happen, I can imagine that this palace would be made into a place of embroidery by Baron Joseph who likes to play women." Said Queen Roseline.

Duke Sullivan agreed.

"Less aj*r! How can the Queen have a Royal seal and replace the King's position during King Alec's illness?" Shouted Baroness Yolanda who was in her room.

"All must be because of the intervention of Empress Dowager Helene, the Baroness." Answer Viscount August.

Baroness Yolanda clenched her hand. "If this were the case, my son Joseph would not be able to occupy the throne of the King."

"Not only that, it turns out that during this time the Queen often went out of the palace to investigate the nobles and royal officials. Many nobles and officials were caught for fraud, especially the Minister of Trade. The Queen managed to put Mr. Robin in prison with the evidence already in the hands of the King's soldiers." The Bright Viscount August.

"Fucking queen! Had she eaten that poisoned soup that night, that woman would not have been a hindrance to all my plans."

Viscount August immediately walked out of Baroness Yolanda's room with his personal servant. Viscount August runs into Countess Sarah who is about to meet Baroness Yolanda.

"Good day, Countess Sarah." Sapa Viscount August.

"Good day Viscount August." Countess Sarah answered while saluting.

"How are you doing? Have your wounds healed, Countess?" Viscount August asked kindly.

"It's better, Viscount." Answer Countess Sarah.

"Thank God. Hopefully after Countess Sarah recovers, His Majesty King Alec can marry you soon. Because in my opinion, Countess Sarah is more suitable and appropriate to accompany Her Majesty the King than the Queen."

Countess Sarah was flattered and smiled shyly. Viscount August is good at tongue-licking and pleasing women with his sweet and sombical sayings.

"Did the Viscount just meet Baroness Yolanda?" Ask Countess Sarah.

"Countess Really. I came here because I wanted to say hello to the foster brother of the late His Majesty King Uther. I used to be best friends with the late Baron Julius, the husband of Baroness Yolanda." Answer Viscount August.

Baroness Yolanda walked up to the two of them.

"Sarah Countess. Why did you come here? Do you want to meet me?" Ask Baroness Yolanda.

"Yes, Baroness. I would like to invite the Baroness to visit the king's palace. I kept worrying about the King and wanted to see the King's state." Countess Sarah answered with a sad face.

Viscount August and Baroness Sarah throw each other sly smiles.

"Well, excuse me Countess Sarah and Baroness Yolanda. I beg you both to inform you about the state of His Majesty the King. I am also very worried about the King. Hopefully with the presence of Countess Sarah next to the King, the King can soon recover and return as usual." Viscount August said with a sad look on his face.

Countess Sarah simply nodded with a smile. Viscount August immediately left the guest pavilion.

"Let's Countess, we go to the king's palace." Take Baroness Yolanda.

Baroness Yolanda and Countess Sarah arrive at the king's palace. And just like the previous incident, the guards of the king's chamber forbade them to enter and meet King Alec.

"Please! Who do you think you are? Only a lowly warrior with courage against me whose status is higher than yours!" Baroness Yolanda's snapped at him when the guards forbade him to see the King.

King Alec snorted in annoyance when he heard the noise in front of his room because of the actions of Baroness Yolanda.

"Are they both deaf and dumb? It's forbidden to still come and force to enter here." King Alec said in annoyance.

"Do you need a servant to tell them to leave, Your Majesty? The servant did not want them to break in and find out the true state of His Majesty. Because we still don't know who the person who poisoned His Majesty is." The Marquess Filan.

"You're right, don't let the news of my recovery spread out immediately." King Alec's.

"Sorry Baroness. We are forbidden to allow anyone to see His Majesty the King, other than Empress Dowager Helene and the Queen." Answer one of the guards.

"Who would have dared to impose a ban?" Ask Countess Sarah, who was emotionally involved.

"I."

Baroness Yolanda and Countess Sarah immediately turned their bodies around. They were shocked to see Queen Roseline standing behind them arrogantly.

"Sincerely, Her Majesty the Queen." Shouts from the guards.

Marquess Filan stopped her steps when she learned that Queen Roseline was in front of the King's room. King Alec widened his eyes upon hearing the voice of Queen Roseline. His heart was beating violently and irregularly.

"It turns out these soldiers are more educated than you two." The Queen of Roseline.

"Ho-honour servant, Her Majesty the Queen." Said Countess Sarah while saluting and followed by Baroness Yolanda.

"Do you think this king's palace is a wilderness? So you can scream. His Majesty the King is sick and needs calm to rest. I didn't expect nobles like you to be able to act stupid by making a scene here." Queen Roseline's Ejek.

Baroness Yolanda hardened her jaw and both her hands squeezed her dress. He wanted to tear apart the proud woman in front of him.

"Please, Queen. Why did the Queen forbid us to see His Majesty the King? We are very worried about the King." Baroness Yolanda asked in a pitiful tone.

"Basic queen of drama. You want to play the victim? I'll follow your game." Inner Queen Roseline.

"Of course it's because I don't want the King's calm and rest disturbed. I want the King to heal soon. And last but not least, I don't want my husband to be touched by another woman looking for a chance at narrowness." Queen Roseline answered while pursing her lips.

King Alec's heart blossomed as Queen Roseline called him my husband. King Alec smiled happily. His face was red to his ears. Marquess Filan scrunched her forehead as she looked at the unusual expression of her King.

Countess Sarah lowered her head while biting her lower lip hearing Queen Roseline's insinuation to him.

"His husband? Since when did the Queen consider the King to be a husband? Hasn't the Queen always ignored Her Majesty the King?" Ask Countess Sarah.

Queen Roseline laughed.

"When have I ever said that His Majesty the King is not my husband?" Queen Roseline asked.

Countess Sarah is silent.

"Although I need not humble myself by continuing to cling to His Majesty the King, it does not mean that I do not consider him my husband. I have my own way of showing my concern as a wife without having to indulge and flaunt in front of others."

King Alec pursed his lips. "That means I still have a chance to get the Queen's heart back. Although it takes time and struggle, I will keep trying to get the Queen's love back."

"But the servant is the aunt of His Majesty the King. It is not proper for the Queen to forbid me to see the condition of the King, my own nephew. Servant is a relative of the King." Baroness Yolanda protest.

"Thank you for your attention, Baroness. I will tell the King." Queen Roseline answered with ease.

"Did the Queen deliberately do all this so that the King could not get much support from those closest to her and always encouraged her? Is it because the Queen doesn't want the King to get well soon? So that the Queen can continue to occupy the position of King." Baroness Yolanda said with a cynical look.

"Baroness Yolanda must have said that out of disappointment, your son Baron Joseph, failed to succeed His Majesty the King and sat on the King's throne." Reply Queen Roseline.

Baroness Yolanda gnashed her teeth as Queen Roseline managed to reverse her attack. Baroness Yolanda immediately left with her upset face. He did not want to be out of control and ruin all the plans he had drawn up.

"All right, I'll go. Please until prayers from us for His Majesty the King."

Baroness Yolanda saluted and put her foot away from there. Countess Sarah follows him from behind because she doesn't want to be the Queen's moons if she's still there.

"Thank you for working so well. Keep tightening guard around His Majesty's room and don't let anyone else come in and out of the King's room without my permission or Empress Dowager Helene's. I'll send you an extra salary as a bonus and send it straight to your family." Queen Roseline.

"Thank you for the generosity of Her Majesty the Queen. May Her Majesty the Queen live a long and healthy life always." Speak to the guards.

Queen Roseline simply nodded with a knotty smile.
