Chapter 98. A Fun Date

It doesn't feel like Xander and Alice have been on a five-day contract date last night. In addition to eating together, the two have spent time dating by watching movies at Xander's movie theater, touring Disneyland, and even going sailing on Xander's personal yacht.

On the day of this sixth date, Xander takes Alice to a place far from the hustle and bustle of the urban atmosphere. Xander's limousine car entered the gate and stopped right in the courtyard of the mansion which was much larger and grander than the Quinn family mansion.

"Why did you take me to your mansion?" Ask Alice ketus.

"You don't have to be afraid and anxious, Alice. I'm not gonna do anything to you. I just wanted to show you something." Xander replied while smiling.

All the maids and guards immediately bowed their bodies as Xander and Alice entered the mansion. Alice was amazed by the grandeur that seemed on the inside of the mansion, which seemed very luxurious. Even the ornaments that are there go into rare items with fantastic value.

"Do you want to impress me by showing me these luxury items?" Alice said cynically.

Xander laughed softly.

"I'm not that stupid, dear Alice. I know you're a lot different from the cheap women out there whose eyes are instantly glared at the sight of expensive stuff. You're special, Alice." Xander said with a smile.

Xander moved his wheelchair again. He took Alice to the back of the mansion. Alice was shocked when she heard the sound of the waves being quite loud. Both of Alice's eyes were rounded when she saw the beach with a stretch of white sand that shone reflecting the sunlight. Green trees and mangroves around the beach add to the beauty of the beach.

"What do you think?" Ask Xander.

"This, it's amazing." Alice answered with a smile.

"You're right. It's amazing." Xander murmured that looked at Alice's face fixedly.

"Wait anymore?" Alice cried with her happy face.

"Then take off your shoes." Xander Sahut.

Alice immediately took off her shoes and ran towards the beach. Alice let her bare feet touch the warmth of the white sand. The wind blew her white midi dress so that it lifted up, lucky Alice was wearing hot pants. Xander endlessly flashed his happy smile as he moved closer towards Alice. Alice sat her body under the beach umbrella that had been provided.

Soon two maids came with fresh drinks and snacks for them.

"I can finally see you smiling." Chirp Xander.

Alice closed her eyes for a moment while enjoying the smell of the sea water and took a slow breath and threw it away.

"I haven't felt this kind of peace in a long time."

"I used to go to the beach if I missed my mom and dad. The gusts of wind and the roar of the waves made my heart feel calm." Alice said with her gaze continuing to enjoy the rolling waves.

"That means you're missing someone right now. Aren't we?" Xander.

The smile on Alice's face slowly faded away. Inside his memories instantly appeared the face of King Alec.

"Cry if you want to cry. Shout if you want to scream. Don't hold it anymore. Saving it will only burden your mind."

Alice stared in disbelief at Xander.

"Why are you still silent? Take out what you want to get out. This vast ocean will be ready to take all your burdens." Added Xander.

Alice could no longer hold back her tears. He walked to the beach, then shouted as loud as he cried. Alice spilled all the longing, resentment and anger mixed into one. Xander touched his chest. Alice's screams and cries were slashing through the recesses of her heart.

After screaming and crying, Alice returns to Xander's place. Xander immediately gave him a tissue.

"Are you relieved now?"

"Lumayan." Alice answered briefly.

After wiping away her tears, Alice took her drink.

"At least your burden has diminished." Xander.

Alice held her breath until she completely calmed down.

"I didn't expect the Smith family to be this rich." Alice said while chuckling.

"I consider this to be a gift and goodness that God has given me, so that I do not need to continue living in adversity. The other language is I'm so grateful." Xander said with a smile on his lips.

Alice nodded in agreement.

"Do you want to share your story with me?" Ask Xander.

"News?" Alice scrunched her forehead.

"The story of the novel you always carry. It must be your favorite novel." Xander pointed to the novel that was inside Alice's bag.

Alice stunned.

"Are you interested?" Alice asked in disbelief because there were very few men who liked the story in the novel world.

Xander nodded. "Please!"

Alice immediately pulled out the novel and showed it to Xander.

"The Weak Queen." Excited Alice.

"Interesting." Xander Response.

Alice took a deep breath. This is the first time she has shared the novel with anyone else.

"This novel tells the story of a kingdom called Cardania with all the happiness and suffering in it. The main characters are the ruler of the kingdom, King Alec Cardania and Queen Roseline. Long story short, Queen Roseline loved her husband very much and was willing to sacrifice her life to save the life of a man who never considered her existence."

"Queen Roseline snatched King Alec's drink that had been poisoned. King Alec was furious without knowing the truth. Queen Roseline died of the poison. Queen Roseline comes back to life but with another soul that comes from another world. It was thanks to that soul that she turned into the powerful and formidable Queen of Roseline."

"The soul is me." His mind with a thin smile.

Alice continued to tell her story with King Alec. A aura of happiness emanates from him as he tells the story of his romance with King Alec. Sometimes he shed tears when he remembered an unsettling story. Xander looked carefully. Even Xander gets swept up in the story Alice tells. Xander shed tears as Alice ended her story with the happiness of King Alec with Queen Roseline and their three children, Marcello, Michelline and Leonardo.

Alice leaned her body against the back of the lounge chair. A happy smile was still clearly visible on Alice's face after recalling her love story with King Alec.

"Do you believe in time travel?" Ask Alice.

Xander nodded.

Alice widened her eyes. Shortly after, he shifted his eyes.

"You must think it's ridiculous. Maybe you think I'm crazy too." Lirih Alice while smiling blandly.

"ridiculous? I think it's very interesting."

"Do you know, Alice? When I was sleeping and dreaming, I felt like I was traveling through time. I could easily move from one place to another that I could never have guessed." Xander said with a big smile to make Alice look back at him.

"Trust. That's so amazing." Added.

"But it hurts too. Because my competition is pretty heavy. I have to compete with the invisible, so that I can't beat him up as much as I can."

Alice laughed softly.

Xander looked at his watch. It didn't feel like they had been on the beach for more than two hours.

"We'd better get back to the mansion now that it's getting dark. The sun will soon set. The maids must have prepared our dinner." Take Xander.

"May I enjoy dinner while watching the sunset?"

"of course. My men will prepare it. We'll have dinner on the balcony. You can see the sunset as much as you." Answer Xander.

Xander and Alice leave the beach. Alice was delighted that their dinner this time was dyed with the beautiful red sky with the sun slowly hiding its rays.

"Thank you, Xander. Dating today is so fun." Said Alice.

Xander simply replied with a smile.

"Tomorrow is the last day of our contract date. I want to cook for you. Do you mind if I cook for our date?" Ask Alice.

"Of course not. I'm happy, Alice. I can feel what it's like to be a husband now." Answer Xander.

"Isa. Your dreams are too high, sir." Alice Ejek.

"The higher the dream, the greater the effort to achieve it." Xander Sahut.

Alice just took a deep breath. After dinner, Xander immediately drove Alice home.

"Good rest Alice. See you again on the last day of our date."

"Pick me up tomorrow morning. I'll clear all my schedules tomorrow." Said Alice.

Xander widened his eyes.

"W-does that mean I can be with you for a whole day?" Xander asked in disbelief.

Alice nodded coldly to hide her embarrassment. Xander was so happy.

"I promise I'll pick you up early in the morning. You better get in and get to bed. So that your energy can be full tomorrow." Xander said with a happy face.

Alice is coming down. "Good night."

During the trip, Xander continued to show his happy smile. His heart is so flowery. Allen smiled faintly, almost invisible. Xander's phone is ringing.

"Hello, what's wrong Scott?" Ask in her happy voice.

"R and Penelope have returned, sir."

Xander's happy smile suddenly evaporated and his face turned cold. Allen scrunched his forehead.

"There's someone who's come to the base and wants to meet you." Added Scott.

"All right."

Xander immediately disconnected their phone call.

"We're going to the base right now!" Xander hardened his jaws with his hands clenched tightly.

"Good, Sir." Answer Allen.

The night was getting late and the day had changed five minutes ago. Xander took out a black box from inside his room drawer. He took out a necklace bearing a ruby jewel.

"This canyon is so pretty. And it'll be even more beautiful if you wear it, Alice. Only you deserve to wear this necklace." Xander muttered with a smile, but in his eyes held a pain.
