Chapter 68. Recognition
The noble Queen Roseline awakens from the cradle of King Alec. Queen Roseline pushed King Alec's body away as the two pages slipped apart.
Plaque!!!
King Alec got a very hard slap on his left cheek. Queen Roseline suddenly felt dizzy and her body was a little unsteady. King Alec caught his body and sat him on the bed. Queen Roseline pushes King Alec back to stay away from her.
"You've done enough to treat me like a cheap woman. You can touch me after touching another woman. You're really disgusting, Alec. Stay away from me!" Snapped Queen Roseline with reddened eyes.
"Listen to my explanation, Alice. What really happened is not what you think. Please control your emotions. Remember Alice, there's our twin in your belly." Said King Alec quietly.
"Other thing you want to explain? It's all clear, Alec. And I don't trust men like you anymore."
"You misunderstood, Alice. Give me a chance to explain it all to you. I beg you."
King Alec tries to get closer but Queen Roseline raises her hand as a sign of rejection.
"alright. But stay away from me and don't try to touch me again." Queen Roseline.
King Alec moved backwards and sat on a chair a bit away from the bed.
"I'll tell you the truth. And if after listening to my explanation you still hate me, I accept Alice." The King of Alec.
The Flashback
The Cardania border
King Alec enters Queen Roseline's tent, after taking care of the bodies of the dead soldiers and making sure the wounded soldiers get treatment. A palace doctor is examining Queen Roseline. Marie stood by the bed crying.
"What's going on, Doctor?" King Alec asked with a worried face.
"Her Majesty the Queen has a fever, Sire. It seems like His Majesty has an infection from the wound he sustained." Answer the doctor.
"How is it possible? Didn't you just say that the Queen's wound wasn't too deep and that you've also treated and bandaged the wound? Why didn't you check that well?" King Alec started to get emotional.
"For Your Majesty. The queen was struck by a sword scratch that had been covered in poison. I've given you the heat-lowering drug and the antidote. The Queen is currently asleep due to the effects of the drug." Answer the doctor.
"alright. You can go now." King Alec.
"Okay, Sire."
"Servant Marie, do not forget to often compress Her Majesty the Queen so that the fever can immediately go down. And if the fever gets higher, call me immediately."
"Okay, doctor." Answer Marie.
After the departure of the doctor and his assistants, Marie changed the water and cloth to compress Queen Roseline.
"Let me do it, Marie. You can come out. I'll call you if I need you." King Alec.
"Okay, Sire." Marie's out of the tent.
King Alec sat on the edge of the bed while touching Queen Roseline's face. "There have been too many sacrifices you've made for me, Alice. I owe not only my life to Roseline, but also to you. I can't afford to lose you, because you've filled the space in your heart."
"After this I will reveal everything to you and I promise that I will always make you happy. Whatever I will do to make amends for all my mistakes that have hurt you. I love you so much, Alice." King Alec kissed Queen Roseline's forehead gently.
The King took care of Queen Roseline with patience. All night he kept awake and did not let his eyes shut. King Alec saw a suspicious black shadow from behind the tent. As King Alec approached him, the shadow went away.
"Marie, comein!" Shouted King Alec.
Marie came in immediately.
"Jaga the Queen for a moment. There's something I have to do." King Alec. "Where's Felix?"
"Felix is eating, Sire. Because he hasn't eaten since. He'll be back soon." Answer Marie.
"When Felix gets back, make sure he's keeping an eye on this tent as long as I'm not around."
"Okay, Sire."
"Who are you? Why did you sneak into the Cardania warrior camp? Are you King Henry's man?" Ask King Alec.
The man in black turned towards King Alec, with a face covered in a veil.
"I'm a Liam, but I'm not King Henry's man. I want to tell you that King Henry's confidant is currently in the Sun Kingdom to kidnap Queen Cetta. King Henry wants to exchange Queen Cetta's safety for a marriage." It sounded very clear from her voice if that person was a woman.
King Alec remained with his flat face. "Wedding?"
"really. King Henry wants to make a deal with you, King Alec. Everyone knows about the close relationship you have with King Abraham. King Henry wants you to marry Princess Viviane, the eldest daughter of King Henry and she is the prettiest woman in the Kingdom of Liam." Light up the woman.
"What is your real purpose and purpose? I know you must have a certain purpose by telling me everything, Princess Viviane."
The woman chuckled, then opened the veil and closed her fist slowly. A beautiful white, red-haired woman was smiling at her red lips. King Alec's expression did not change in the slightest.
"I met the right guy. You are King Alec special. You show no reaction of amazement, amazement or fascination to my beauty." Princess Viviane said with a smile.
"Because my Queen is so much prettier, graceful and elegant than you." Ketus King Alec.
"Now tell me what your real purpose is? If you're hoping I'll approve of King Henry's wish to marry you, you're dreaming too high."
"I do want you to agree to the deal so that King Henry will release Queen Cetta and submit to your rule. But you don't have to worry, we're not really getting married." Princess Viviane replied.
"Then?"
"Help me to avenge the death of my mother, Queen Eklesia. I want you to help me avenge all those who have vilely slandered my mother and poisoned my mother's body until my mother breathed her last." Said Princess Viviane with a gaze full of anger.
"How can I believe all your words? You could be trying to play me. You are the son of my enemy." Ask King Alec.
"Are you going to believe me if I give you King Henry's plaque?"
King Alec sharpened his gaze and there was no lie in Princess Viviane's eyes.
"Then show me the plaque right now."
"I don't have it right now. Give me a moment. Two more days my confidant will give you the plaque. And I'll make sure you get the real plaque." Princess Viviane.
"One of my men will meet your men in the woods near the palace of Cardania. I can't let just anyone enter my palace."
"I agree. Then see you again in the Kingdom of Liam, King Alec." Princess Viviane jumped up and disappeared inside the darkness of the forest.
