Chapter 33. Rumors That Have Not Eased

King Alec and Queen Roseline arrive in the back yard of a modest house. King Alec scrunched his forehead and looked confused. King Alec goes down immediately and helps Queen Roseline. Mr and Mrs Bernard immediately closed their boutiques when they found out Queen Roseline was coming.

"Our respect, Her Majesty the Queen." Said Mr. Bernard.

Not only did Mr and Mrs Bernard salute, but Gustav, one of the wheat farmers, also saluted. Gustavo was the younger brother of Mr. Bernard. Gustavo was surprised but also proud to know that the woman named Rose was actually Queen Roseline, Queen of Cardania.

With doubt the three of them immediately woke up slowly. They did not believe that the number one person in the Kingdom of Cardania would visit their hut. King Alec and Queen Roseline sat on the simple wooden chairs available there. Lady Bernard immediately took the warm tea and bread they had to serve to their two masters.

"We beg your mercy, Sire. Our hut is small and very unfit to entertain His Majesty. And only warm tea and bread can we serve." Said Mr. Bernard.

"This place is quite comfortable, sir. Thank you." Thank you." King Alec replied kindly with a smile.

Mr and Mrs Bernard were moved. Their king who was notoriously cold, haughty and ruthless was being friendly to commoners like them.

"Mrs Bernard. Is the dress I ordered a while ago already?" Ask Queen Roseline.

"That's His Majesty. All the dresses the Queen ordered are ready. Wait a minute, I'll get you." Answer Mrs Bernard.

Lady Bernard showed three pairs of dresses to the presence of King Alec and Queen Roseline, there were red, blue and green. Queen Roseline smiled satisfied with the results of Madame Bernard's work and according to her wishes. While King Alec was still silent and looked at his clothes and robes one by one.

"Is something wrong, Sire? Or does your Majesty not like the model of his clothes and robes?" Ask Queen Roseline.

"No Queen. I love everything even though the model looks different from the clothes I used to wear." Answer King Alec.

"Hamba deliberately made it with a different model. I hope your Majesty really likes it. But if Your Majesty does not like it, Mrs Bernard will fix it or remake it as Your Majesty wishes." The Bright Queen Roseline.

King Alec smiled. "I like her, Queen, and I like her a lot. I'm sure there won't be anyone who can match my clothes and robes."

"Thank you, Mrs Bernard. You've made an amazing plan."

"It is the duty of the servant, Sire. That sentence of praise should be addressed to the Queen. Since all of these dresses are designed by the Queen, I'm only responsible for making them as designed." Said Mrs Bernard.

"I don't know if the Queen is very good at designing clothes." King Alec said as he looked at Queen Roseline who was sipping her tea.

"That's just one of my little hobbies, Sire." Queen Roseline.

"Hobby?" King Alec did not understand.

"That's kind of a favorite, Sire."

King Alec nodded in understanding.

"I want you all to come to the Queen Mother's birthday party and this year's harvest celebration. I will invite all the people of Cardania to party together. Because thanks to the people the wheat harvest this year is greatly improved with good quality." King Alec.

"Thank you very much, Sire. This is an infinite gift to us." Sir Bernard said with a happy face.

"It's all thanks to Her Majesty the Queen, Your Majesty. Thanks to the help of our Queen and Duke Sullivan, the farmers can cultivate the fields well and get quality wheat seedlings." Gustav.

King Alec was left in disbelief.

Queen Roseline just turned her lips. After some time, the King and Queen left the Bernard Family home and brought the dresses back to the palace. The whisper of King Alec managed to make the heart of Queen Roseline race fast and both cheeks began to heat up. King Alec laughed softly at Queen Roseline's blushing face.

"I'd better leave soon before His Majesty gets more and more raved about it." Grumpy Queen Roseline while stepping her feet with an annoyed face.

Queen Roseline approached and whispered. "I want to buy special items for women. Do you still want to come?"

King Alec's face immediately blushed. "Ekhm! Well, you can go, but Marie should always be around you."

Queen Roseline immediately left accompanied by Marie and Dean who followed the two from behind. While King Alec waited while drinking in the tavern with Felix.

"Hey, have you heard? At the palace will be held the birthday celebration of Queen Mother Helene and Her Majesty King Alec has invited the kings of the neighboring kingdom." Said one of the visitors.

"Of course we've heard it, Stevan. That's not new news anymore." Please another visitor.

"But did you also know that at the party, His Majesty will propose Countess Sarah and make her a concubine?" Ask Stevan.

"Is the news true, Stevan?"

"Of course it's true. I got the news straight from Count Donovan's residence. As we all know if Queen Roseline until now has not been able to give offspring to His Majesty. And the rumor is that Queen Roseline is a barren woman." Stevan.

"The king should have remarried and had concubines in order to get offspring. And I think Countess Sarah is the right woman for His Majesty." Added Stevan.

King Alec pulled one button and flicked it right into the mouth of the man named Stevan.
