Chapters 97. Dandelions

Alice stepped out of the Quinn Corps elevator, and walked into her study with a bouquet of beautiful red roses in her hand. Jacob and Bella are waiting for her arrival.

"Wow... Beautiful flowers, Miss." Bella cried while receiving the flower from Alice.

"Put this flower on my desk." Said Alice.

Bella immediately took a vase and placed the red rose on Alice's table.

"Miss buy flowers this good where? Because florists usually sell pink, white and yellow roses. Even the fragrant smell of these roses is more fragrant." Ask Bella.

"Oh, that's Xander Smith's flower." Answer Alice.

Bella was immediately stunned.

"really? I didn't expect that mean guy Xander Smith could pick a flower this pretty." Mumbled.

"Miss, your agenda today is to have a meeting with Parker Groups to discuss the Suarez Cooperation tender." Report Jacob.

Alice paused for a moment, she instantly remembered Sean.

"Where will the meeting be held?" Ask.

"The original meeting was planned to be held at a restaurant, but Mr. Parker canceled it and decided to hold a meeting in the Quinn Corps."

"alright. You guys get the room ready."

The arrival of Sean Parker and his assistant, Billy, is enough to steal the attention of Quinn Corps employees, especially the women. His tall body, handsome face with firm jaws, as well as his aura of leadership greatly refreshed the gazing eyes.

"Welcome, Mr Parker." Greet Alice as Sean arrives at the meeting room.

"When I see you again, Miss Quinn. How are you?" Sean said with a smile.

"good. Thank you." Thank you." Alice answered briefly as usual.

Alice and Sean took the Suarez Cooperation tender seriously. Both are very professional at work.

"alright. In accordance with the agreement that we have mutually agreed, we will prepare the best architect to make the design of the building, while for the construction process it is the responsibility of Quinn Corps." Said Sean.

The important meeting is over. Before leaving, Sean wanted to speak privately with Alice. Bella, Jacob and Billy are out.

"What's up, Mr Parker? What do you want to talk about?" Ask Alice.

Alice scrunched her forehead.

"Call me, Sean, just relax. Could I call you Alice?" Said Sean.

Alice sighed.

"All right, Sean." Said Alice.

"I want us to be friends."

Alice was a little surprised.

"Honestly, I'm interested in you. I like you and I want to get to know you better." Honestly Sean is without a stale ado.

Alice smiled knotingly. "You're very frank."

"Yes that's me. Just this time there was a woman that I was interested in, which is you. Maybe it's too soon for you, but my chest feels tight if I don't reveal it right away. So, please let me be friends with you." Bright Sean.

Alice took a deep breath. "You're right, it's too soon for me. If you want us to be friends, I don't mind. If you are also a business partner today. But, that doesn't guarantee I'll return your feelings."

Sean smiled happily. "No problem. Slowly, I will try to make you return my feelings."

Sean took out a black box and gave it to Alice.

Alice opened the black box. Both corneas are rounded when they see a rose-shaped brooch stored in it.

"This brooch." Screeched Alice.

"I hope you like it. I know you like roses. So as soon as I saw this brooch, I immediately thought of you." Said Sean. "And somehow I feel familiar with this brooch."

"Alice. Have we met before?" Ask Sean.

Alice took her breath slowly. "Did you remember anything?"

Sean shakes.

Alice tried to stay calm. "It's possible that we've met or passed each other somewhere before without us not knowing."

"You're right, it could be like that. All right, then I'm saying goodbye because I have to meet with my other clients. See you soon, Alice." Said Sean.

"Thank you for the gift." Said Alice.

"By pleasure." Sean smiled and stepped out of the room.

Alice threw her body on the seat of her greatness. He closed his eyes while taking a long breath.

"Seans. Who the hell are you? If it's true you're Alec, why don't my heart ever beat again."

Jacob knocked on the door and entered the room.

"What's my next agenda, Jacob?" Ask Alice.

"Meeting with the entire board of directors, Miss." Answer Jacob.

Alice nodded.

"That means I can't have lunch with Xander." Mumbled.

Xander asks Alice to have lunch with him as their date. Alice took her phone. He wanted to tell Xander if he hadn't accompanied Xander to lunch. Alice grunts when she realizes that she does not have Xander's phone number.

"Miss. Someone sent you lunch." Bella came in with a paper bag and placed it on a table near the sofa.

"From who?" Ask Alice.

"I don't know, Miss. But here's a letter for you." Bella handed me a letter from the paper bag.

Alice opened it immediately.

..."Enjoy your lunch, my lovely date. I know you're busy right now and can't have lunch with me. I sent you a lot of food and your two assistants....

...For a delayed date, I kindly replaced it with a much more romantic evening than last night. I know you must have been looking forward to it. Be patient. I'll see you tonight."...

Jacob and Bella are stunned. The two looked at each other with confused faces.

"Ekhm!" Alice stood up and walked towards the sofa.

Alice sat on the sofa and pulled out the food from the paper bag.

"Sit. We eat together." Alice's orders.

"But Miss." Jacob shouted.

"There are three food boxes here. I won't be able to spend it all. You guys sit down and accompany me to eat."

Jacob and Bella are obedient. Both of them sat down immediately. Alice placed two food boxes in front of them.

"Let's eat." Excited Alice.

"Chateaubriand!"

Bella and Jacob stared at the thick takjud of the tenderloin meat piece that instantly made their bellies kick. Alice who was hungry immediately ate the delicious meat. Alice and her two assistants finished their meal to nothing.

"Thank you Miss. I'm so full." Bella said with a happy smile.

"Thank you to Xander Smith, for he has sent this food." Said Alice.

"Xander Smith?!" Jacob and Bella.

"Yes, Xander Smith. There's no poison in this food, so you don't have to worry." Alice replied as if she could read their minds.

Xander arrived at the courtyard of Quinn's mansion in time. Xander's eyes sparkled when he saw Alice coming out of the mansion wearing a navy-colored wrap dress and hair tied in a ponytail.

Mr. Abraham's car entered the courtyard of the mansion.

Abraham smiled at his grandson.

"Good night, Mr. Abraham." Sapa Xander's.

The gentle face of Mr. Abraham instantly turned cold.

"Are you going to have dinner with him again, Alice?" Asked Mr. Abraham with a hostile look towards Xander.

"Yes, that's it, Cake." Answer Alice.

Abraham looked at his grandson from top to bottom.

"Other times use long and tightly closed clothes. You're too pretty and seductive tonight. Don't give the slightest chance to a man like him who can pounce on you at any time." Said Mr. Abraham with a grouchy face.

"Grandfather need not worry. I'll make sure he won't dare to." Said Alice.

"You don't need to worry, sir. I'll take good care of your granddaughter." Xander.

"I'll blow your head off, if you dare touch it just a little. And your body will be the food of my pet dogs." Threaten Mr. Abraham before entering the mansion.

Xander and Alice immediately got in the car and left the mansion. Xander endlessly flashed his smile.

"Why are you smiling like crazy?" Ask Alice.

"I'm glad to talk to Mr. Abraham." The answer.

Alice surprised. "Didn't it seem like my grandfather didn't like you, he even threatened you."

"Mr Abraham doesn't like me, we just don't know." Xander Sahut.

"Where are you taking me now?"

"We'll have dinner at one of the restaurants on the edge of town. There is a restaurant that makes a great Lancashire Hotpot. Don't you mind?" Ask Xander.

"Not as long as you can keep your attitude." Answer Alice ketus.

The luxury car stopped at a restaurant far from being luxurious, located in Brick Lane City.

"Good night, Mr. Xander." A middle-aged couple greeted Xander.

"Good night Mr and Mrs Gerrald. How are you guys doing?" Sapa Xander's.

"Our news is good, sir. You haven't been here in a long time. And it's surprising that tonight you came with a beautiful angel." Mrs Gerrald.

Xander smiled.

"Include me, she's my date, Alice. And Alice, meet them Mr and Mrs Gerrald, the owner of this restaurant famous for its Lancashire Hotpot delicacy." Xander.

"It's nice to meet you guys." Alice said with a smile.

"Let's go in. I'll present the Lancashire Hotpot to you." Excited Mrs Gerrald.

"You too." Said Mr. Gerrad to Allen and his men.

Mr. Gerrald put up a sign inscribed with a lid on the entrance, then helped Mrs Gerrald present the Lancashire Hotpot to all of them.

"Goodbye to our Lancashire Hotpot, Ladies and gentlemen." Mrs Gerrald.

"Thank you." Said Alice.

Alice inhaled the scent of the delicious food.

"Do you want to make me gain weight on purpose?" Knock Alice.

Xander scrunched his forehead cluelessly.

"Since this afternoon you've been feeding me meat. You want to make my body full of fat?" Firm Alice.

Xander chuckled and whispered. "Can I see those fats?"

Alice looked at him sharply.

"How does it feel?" Ask Xander.

"You already know the answer." Ketus Alice who makes Xander smile happy.

After eating Alice went to the toilet.

"Look at my wife, after all this time we can finally see Mr. Xander smiling happily as he is today. All thanks to Miss Alice." Said Mr. Gerrald.

"You're right, my husband. I haven't seen her smile like that in a long time since Mr and Mrs Smith's death." Mrs Gerrald said as she wiped her tears that had dripped.

Alice who had just returned from the toilet overheard the conversation of Mr and Mrs Gerrald. Alice immediately returned to her seat.

"Alice accompany me for a walk. There's a park near here." Pinta Xander's.

Alice simply nodded without saying.

The two walked to a park not far from the restaurant. Alice sat on one of the chairs in the garden. There were a few people passing by in front of them.

"Why are you daydreaming? Do you mind and not feel happy?" Ask Xander.

Since then he noticed that Alice looked moody and daydreaming. Alice shakes.

"Have you known Mr and Mrs Gerrald for a long time and eaten at their restaurant?" Ask Alice.

"I've known them since childhood. Almost every day my late father and mother took me to eat there." Answer Xander.

"So it's all true that your parents are gone." Ask Alice.

Xander nodded. "Dad and my mother went into God's lap right when I was 12. They died in an accident."

Alice widened her eyes.

"And the accident also made me the flawed and ugly man I am today." Xander brightly smiled.

Alice's chest felt tight. They seem to have suffered the same fate. Even Xander's fate was much more depressing. Alice's eyes were warming.

Alice immediately shifted her eyes.

Alice's melo face instantly turned crimson.

Xander laughed too.

Alice looked at Xander who was laughing.

But it cannot be denied, behind your body that looks fragile actually you are very strong and courageous so that makes you what you are now. A businessman and mob boss who is very respected by many people. You're like a dandelion flower that has a powder that falls easily when exposed to the wind. However, this powder will re-grow when it gets above the ground."

"That's right, Dandelion." Alice with a faint smile.

"What did you say, Alice?" Ask Xander.

"It's nothing. Better get me home now or my grandfather will blow your head off." Said Alice.

"alright. Because still I want to go through five wonderful days with you." Xander Sahut. "Thank you for this lovely evening, Alice."

"Together."
