Chapter 78. Denunciations
Druff's nobleman, none other than Veronica Druff's father, Mr Eugene Druff, was enraged when he learned that his favorite daughter was being whipped. He did not accept it and immediately complained to Empress Dowager Helene.
Upon hearing the return of Queen Roseline, Queen Mother Helene and Lord Eugene rushed to the Queen's palace. The servants immediately reported their arrival to King Alec and Queen Roseline.
"Mother." King Alec welcomes Queen Mother Helene.
Queen Roseline walks behind King Alec with her heart pounding. "What if Empress Dowager Helene doesn't accept my presence and drives me away from the palace? No, Alice! No one will be able to do that to me. Whatever happens, my two babies have the right to stay in the palace."
"Honor, Your Highness Ms. Siri." Queen Roseline saluted.
"So you've returned to the palace.., Queen." Said Empress Dowager Helene while emphasizing the word "Queen" with her cynical face.
"Yes, Your Majesty. The servant is back." Queen Roseline replied firmly.
"Baginda King." Mr. Eugene saluted.
"Why do you just salute me, Mr Druff? Is your eye sight being disturbed so you don't see my Queen's whereabouts?"King Alec stared intently at Lord Eugene Druff.
Mr. Eugene Druff immediately wavered. "Honor, Her Majesty the Queen."
"I know that Mother's arrival to the Queen's palace must have been due to a complaint from the Druff Nobles."
Mr. Eugene was surprised. He continued to lower his face not daring to stare towards King Alec.
"I heard Miss Veronica Druff got a whip from both of you." Said Suri Helene's Mother.
"Yes, Mother. Miss Druff has been sassy and disrespectful to Queen Roseline." Answer King Alec.
"really? What has Miss Druff done to you, Queen?" Ask Queen Mother Helene.
King Alec answered. "Miss Druff has been disrespectful ...."
"I want to hear it straight from Queen Roseline's lips." Cut the Queen Mother Helene.
King Alec and Queen Roseline looked at each other. Queen Roseline took a slow breath, then looked towards Empress Dowager Helene without the slightest fear.
"Miss Veronica Druff has acted presumptuously by entering the Queen's palace without her permission, Your Majesty. She said that she would marry His Majesty and take the place of servant as Queen of the Kingdom of Cardania."
"And loftily Miss Druff also said that Her Majesty will not accept useless women like servants to return to stay in the palace as escorts of Her Majesty and Queen of this Kingdom." The Bright Queen Roseline.
"That's not true, Your Honor. The servant has educated the daughter of the servant very well. There's no way a servant's daughter could do such a bad thing. The daughter of the servant is a kind and meek woman. I'm sure the servant's daughter is being slandered." Cerocos Mr Eugene Druff.
"So, are you blatantly accusing my Queen of lying? All the servants in this palace knew clearly that it was your daughter who did not know herself and she had behaved less @j@r to my Queen." King Alec's Jerk.
"Please, Sire. Servant does not mean that. But what the Queen is accusing is not true." Shall Lord Eugene Druff.
"Is it true that the servants of the Queen's court know the truth?" Ask Helene's Mother.
"Yes, Your Majesty. I swear that what I say is honesty. His Majesty can ask these servants and palace guards." Queen Roseline.
"May they lie because they're all Queen's men." It was Mr. Eugene Druff who infuriated King Alec.
"Please! Watch your words, Mr. Druff. I don't hesitate to send you to jail right now because of that @j@rmu's lack of attitude!" King Alec's Jerk.
"Your Majesty the Queen Mother." Frightened Lord Eugene Druff asks for protection from Empress Dowager Helene.
Empress Dowager Helene stared intently at Lord Eugene Druff.
"What is your real purpose and purpose, Druff noble?" Suri Helene asked while pursing her lips.
Mr. Eugene Druff rounded his eyes with a cold sweat that began to pour down his face. "W-What does His Majesty mean? I don't understand."
"Do you think I'm a stupid woman? From the beginning your daughter made the mistake of entering the Queen's palace without permission. Then he insulted and demeaned the Queen of this kingdom and claimed to be the new future queen." The words of Empress Dowager Helene that made Mr. Eugene Druff's face even more pale.
"I have many eyes and ears in every corner of the palace. So I know the facts. Your daughter deserves to be punished. He has broken the rules that are in this palace." Added.
"Do you understand now?"
"Hamba understands Your Majesty. I apologize for the mistake my daughter made." Answer Mr. Eugene Druff.
"Hamba begged the Queen for her stupidity and wrongdoing." Please Lord Eugene Druff to Queen Roseline.
Queen Roseline let out a long breath. "I assume this problem is over here. And I hope that something like this won't happen again, because I won't be able to hold back anymore."
"Don't spoil your daughter too much. Educate him well or he'll embarrass the Druff noble family." Added King Alec.
"Thank you for the generosity of His Majesty the King and His Majesty the Queen. Then I'll take my leave first." Said Lord Eugene Druff, then saluted King Alec and Empress Dowager Helene.
"I think you'll believe the fairy tales told by Druff's nobility." King Alec's chirps when Druff's nobles are gone.
"You underestimated your mother too much, my son. If I were that stupid, I wouldn't have survived being the king's wife, and also being a queen in this kingdom." The Queen Mother Helene.
King Alec smiled happily. Empress Dowager Helene walked up to Queen Roseline. "So you decided to go back, Alice?"
"Yes, Your Majesty. Does Your Majesty mind if I stay in this palace?"
Suri Helene's mother smiled widely.
"How could I possibly let the mother of my future grandchildren live outside the palace? Of course you have to stay in this palace."
Queen Roseline widened her eyes and looked towards King Alec in disbelief.
"I told mom about your pregnancy. I'm sorry if I didn't ask you for permission first." The King of Alec.
Empress Dowager Helene clasped Queen Roseline's hands, saying. "I am so happy with this happy news. I will finally become a grandmother. Thank you." Thank you."
Queen Roseline forced her smile. "Is Your Majesty sure? Servant is Alice, not Queen Roseline."
"Yes, I'm sure. Stay alive as Queen Roseline but be yourself, Alice. I love Roseline, and so do you. With all the kindness you've shown and given all this time, I'm sure you're Alice's good woman." Answer the Queen Mother.
Queen Roseline was deeply moved. He immediately rushed into the arms of Empress Dowager Helene.
"Thank you, Your Majesty." Queen Roseline with a sob.
Suri Helene's mother unraveled their embrace.
"Don't call your Majesty, but call me "Mother"." Strictly Queen Mother Helene.
Queen Roseline nodded with a smile. "Yes, Mother."
King Alec is very happy, eventually he will not be far away from his future twin baby and also his mother. Even her mother loved Alice.
