Chapter 55. The Queen is Sick
"Already, Sire. He's in the torture room right now." Answer Marquess Filan.
"good. I can't wait to skin him." Said King Alec with his cold face.
In the torture chamber, there was a woman lying helplessly after getting a few lashes. The woman continued to scream in pain as the King's bodyguards placed seals on her body using heated iron. They stopped upon seeing the arrival of King Alec, and instantly paid their respects.
"Who is this woman?" Ask King Alec.
"For Your Majesty. He was one of the servants who was in the King's palace." Answer one of the guards.
King Alec sat on a chair in front of the servant. The guards sat down the body of the servant forcefully.
"So you're the one who's been daring to mix stimulants into my drink?"
The woman was terrified to see King Alec's face with his red eyes that looked like a demon about to obliterate his life.
"I-fuck, Sire. Servant beg for mercy. Servants are only told by His Majesty." Please waiter is scared.
"Who told you to?"
The waiter lowered his head and his lips trembled in fear.
"Java!" King Alec's Jerk.
"No-miss Julia."
"Julia?" King Alec scratched his forehead.
"Yes Sire. Miss Julia Arnof, daughter of the Arnof royalty. They arrived at the palace this afternoon to visit Empress Dowager Helene. They are currently staying at the Guest Pavilion, Sire." The waiter answered while crying.
"Please forgive the life of your servant, your Majesty."
King Alec grinned. "Your word?"
"After you went undercover and became a spy in my palace, then you gave me that laqnad medicine. You still dare to ask me for forgiveness."
Gleck... (The servant gulped his saliva rough)
"Guards! Do what you're supposed to do, and get this shit out of my face." King Alec orders with his cold face.
The guards bowed respectfully then dragged the servant out of the torture chamber towards the execution ground. The waiter continued to thrash but no one cared about him.
"Is your Majesty sure he will? Miss Julia is the daughter of Queen Mother Helene's best friend. Suri Helene's mother loved her like a child." Ask Marquess Filan.
"Then, do you want me to keep rats and diseases in my palace and kingdom, Filan?" King Alec replied, hardening his jaw.
"Ti-no Sire. I didn't mean to talk like that." Answer Marquess Filan.
"Then why are you questioning something I don't need to answer."
King Alec stepped out of the room towards the secret passageway that connected him with his private room. King Alec immediately undressed and went into his bath. King Alec soaked long enough to quell the anger and rah that was still stirring inside him.
While in Queen Roseline's room, Marie helped Queen Roseline to dry her body after she finished cleaning herself. Afterwards, he helped Queen Roseline to put on a nightgown. Marie had also cleaned and replaced Queen Roseline's sheets that had been filled with sticky liquid with new and clean sheets.
Marie's heart seemed to be sliced to see some bruises on the body of Queen Roseline due to the grip and rough touch of King Alec. Marie applied an ointment to treat those injuries. Queen Roseline simply fell silent with her blank look.
"Baginda Raja has gone too far. Why would His Majesty hurt His Majesty like this?" Said Marie sobbing.
Queen Roseline woke up from her daydream and looked towards Marie. Queen Roseline gently wiped away Marie's flowing tears and smiled.
"Don't cry, Marie. I'm fine."
"What's okay, Your Majesty? I know Your Majesty is in pain right now." Marie Sahut.
"Do you want to make me look better?" Ask Queen Roseline.
Marie nodded.
"Whatever I'll do to make His Majesty feel better." Answer it quickly.
"Please make me some warm tea. I feel cold after taking a cold shower tonight." Queen Roseline.
"All right, Your Majesty. I immediately made it. Please wait a minute."
Marie came out of the room to make some warm tea.
"So, now you're treating me like a cheap woman." Ogre Queen Roseline with a bland smile.
Marie returned to Queen Roseline's room with a cup of warm tea favorite of Queen Roseline.
Felix immediately entered after hearing Marie's scream. Felix helped Marie lift the body of Queen Roseline and placed it slowly on the bed. Shortly thereafter, Physician Fay arrived. A Queen's maid immediately went to the Fay Physician's residence when she learned Queen Roseline had fainted.
Physician Fay was surprised to see the condition of Queen Roseline's body.
"So His Majesty came here, Doctor." Marie.
Physician Fay nodded in understanding.
"Mmmm..." The Queen of Roseline.
"Your Majesty is awake. Thank goodness." Said Marie with her eyes.
"What happened to me?" Ask Queen Roseline.
"Your Majesty fell unconscious. His Majesty has a high fever and His Majesty's health has also declined drastically." Answer Physician Fay. "Marie, please bring some cloth and warm water to compress Her Majesty the Queen."
Marie immediately made a request of Physician Fay. After she returned, Marie directly compressed Queen Roseline's forehead.
"Hamba will make a medicinal herb to lower the Queen's fever and also a medicine to restore the Queen's stamina back." Say Doctor Fay.
"Thank you, Doctor Fay." Said Queen Roseline in a weak voice.
"Together Your Majesty. Your Majesty must rest a lot so that His Majesty's health will recover soon." The Physician Fay.
Queen Roseline nodded with a smile.
After the departure of Physician Fay, Marie tidied Queen Roseline's blanket and continued to compress it.
"Marie's. Will you accompany me to bed tonight? I don't want to be alone." Pinta Queen Roseline.
"Without His Majesty even, I will remain here to take care of His Majesty." Marie replied with a smile.
"Can you stop calling me His Majesty. I'm Alice, not Queen Roseline." Please Queen Roseline (Alice).
"All right, Miss Alice."
Queen Roseline smiled happily. Physician Assistant Fay walks in with the medicine for Queen Roseline. Marie helped Queen Roseline to sit down and take her medicine.
"Miss should rest now, so that Miss's fever goes down immediately and Miss Alice can get well soon." Marie.
"Thank you, Marie. And don't forget to rest either. Don't stay up just because you're waiting for me to sleep. I'm sure I'll be cured by tomorrow morning." Said Queen Roseline.
"After Miss Alice falls asleep, the servant will also rest. I've taken the mattress and will sleep under it." Marie.
"Why don't you sleep with me in bed?" Ask Queen Roseline.
"No Miss. I'm used to sleeping on the floor, more freely." Answer Marie.
"alright. But if you feel cold, get on the bed. I'm happy to share the bed with you."
Marie nodded. "Thank you very much, Miss."
It did not take long, the eyes of Queen Roseline were closed due to the effects of the drug from Physician Fay. With painstaking care, Marie compresses Queen Roseline. After making sure Queen Roseline's body temperature began to decline, Marie rested her body on the mattress she had prepared earlier.
