Chapters 107. The Secret Truth

Xander was sitting in the chair right in front of Mr. Abraham's great table.

"You said you haven't finished your business." Said Mr. Abraham breaking the silence.

"Yes, Sir. Michael Dawson was more cunning than I thought. He had one of his confidants disguise themselves as him to trick me and my men." Answer Xander with hardened jaws.

"Then, what's your plan now?"

"I'll wait for him to move, sir. I'm sure he'll be finely attacked soon after he finds out about my leg's recovery."

"Did Alice know your plan?"

Xander shook his head. "No, Mister. But I'll tell him."

Mr. Abraham took a long breath.

"You better tell him right away before a misunderstanding and hurt his heart."

Xander nodded.

"Then, what about Jason O'bero? What are you going to do to teach a lesson to that b*ji nga*n?"

"For a while, we let the man live a quiet life first. Because I found some facts about the O'bero Family." Answer Xander.

Xander stared fixedly at Mr. Abraham who seemed to be holding back anger.

"Are my guesses correct if the accident that befell your son and daughter-in-law is a coincidence?" ask Xander.

Mr. Abraham closed his eyes and wasted his rough breathing.

"And it was Harry O'bero, Jason O'bero's father." Added Xander.

Mr. Abraham remained silent and hardened his jaw.

"Why are you hiding this reality from Alice? Alice has a right to know." Read Xander.

"I kept it a secret to protect Alice. I don't want Alice to live her life with a heart filled with revengeful intentions. Even though I have educated her hard to make her a strong woman, but the O'bero Family cannot be underestimated." The Light of Mr. Abraham.

"I'm sure it's not that hard for you to destroy the O'bero family. But why didn't you do it long ago?" Ask Xander curiously.

"Because they have hidden something very precious to me. Once I get it later, I'll crush them to dust." Answer Mr. Abraham.

Xander scratched his forehead. "What is so valuable that Mr Abraham refers to?"

"Ekhm! You must have known if all this time the Dawson Family and the O'bero Family are in a friendship. They worked together and helped each other to destroy both enemies, including plotting the murder of both my parents and Alice's parents." Xander.

"Yes I know."

"I'm sure that Jason's goal is to approach Alice not only because he's fascinated by Alice's beauty, but he also wants to seize and master the Quinn Cooperation." Xander.

Mr. Abraham nodded as he squeezed his jaw.

"Therefore, I would like to ask your blessing. I want to marry Alice." Xander bluntly.

Mr. Abraham glared.

"Are you serious?"

Xander nodded.

"I love your grandson very much, Mr. Abraham."

Mr. Abraham took a long breath. Of the many men who tried to get close to Alice so far, according to him only Xander is the most worthy to side with Alice.

"Is Alice willing to marry you?" tanyanya cynic.

Xander nodded with a smile. Mr. Abraham chuckled.

"It's impossible for my grandson's heart to melt so easily in a man like you."

"I take that as a compliment, sir. Maybe because I'm the most handsome man Alice's ever seen." Xander said confidently.

"Sad. Don't be arrogant yet, I haven't given my approval." Mr. Abraham was a little upset with Xander's high confidence.

"But I'm sure once if you won't be able to reject me, because your grandson has already fallen for me." Xander said with a mocking smile.

"You're a real bitch."

Xander laughed softly. But soon his laughter stopped after getting a message from Allen. His face immediately turned cold.

"Did something bad happen?" Ask Mr. Abraham in curiosity.

"O'bero has already begun to take action. O'bero managed to get close to the important clients of Quinn Cooperation. They will make those clients turn away from Quinn Coopertion and establish cooperation with their companies. It is very dangerous for the survival of Quinn Coopertion and Alice. Jason would definitely use that opportunity to force Alice to marry him for the sake of Quinn Cooperation." Answer Xander.

"Br*ng s*k! They really b@j*ng*n bi@d@b!" Shouted Mr. Abraham with anger.

Xander rounded his eyes with his mouth open.

"Why are you quiet?!" Jerk Mr. Abraham.

"Fastly Sir. Tomorrow I'm ready to take Alice to the altar. And I promise to avenge the deeds of those who have hurt you as well as your grandchildren, many times over. I'll make sure they'll regret being born into this world." Xander said firmly while grinning.

Inside her room, Alice continued pacing around with a feeling of unease. He was worried that his grandfather would do something bad to Xander. Alice decided to leave her room. While descending the stairs, Alice sees Mr. Abraham and Xander who have just come out of Mr. Abraham's private room.

"Grandfather! Xander!" Excited Alice.

"Why are you still here? Didn't Grandpa tell you to go to your room and rest?" Ask Mr. Abraham.

"Alice can't sleep, Cake. Alice was not tired either." Tweet Alice.

"Bas stubborn." Grumpy Mr. Abraham.

"Your grandfather is indeed famous as a ruthless and cold-blooded mafia leader. But I will never have the heart to make my favorite grandson sad just because the bride-to-be is dented because I make samsak." Said Mr. Abraham.

"C-wedding candidate?" Ask Alice while she glances.

Mr. Abraham threw his breath away violently.

"You really are a lucky shirt*ngan, Xander. You've made my granddaughter really fall in love with you." Bump Mr. Abraham with his face.

Xander immediately laughed, while Alice's face grew even more blushing.

"I've asked Mr. Abraham for his blessing to marry you, Alice."

Alice was made to go back.

"And Mr. Abraham gave his blessing. Soon I will take you to the altar and make you Queen of Smith's Kingdom." Xander said it by carving out a happy smile.

Alice hugged her grandfather.

"Thank you, Grandpa." He said while shedding happy tears mixed with haru.

"Anything grandfather would do for your happiness, Alice." Said Mr. Abraham while wiping away Alice's tears.

Alice stared at Xander with a happy smile. Xander immediately announced. He said he was going to Eagle Fire headquarters. There is important business that he has to finish. No matter how long after Xander's departure, there came a middle-aged man who was familiar to Alice. He is Mr. Emilio, the right-hand man of Mr. Abraham. Mr. Abraham invited Mr. Emilio into his personal space.

"Did you bring any important information, Emilio? Did you find him?" Ask Mr. Abraham impatiently.

"We have slipped and investigated various places belonging to the O'bero family, even to their villa on the island of Hawaii. However, we still haven't managed to find him, sir." Mr. Emilio reported.

Brakes...

Again, Mr. Abraham broke his desk and clenched his hand.

"Where does baj*nga@n hide my grandson?"

Degs...

Alice, who was not passing by in front of the room, overheard Mr. Abraham's cry. Alice halted her steps and barged in and shocked Mr. Abraham and Mr. Emilio.

"What does Grandpa mean? Who's the granddaughter that Grandpa meant? Aren't I the only grandchild Grandpa has?" Read Alice.
