Chapters 2. Changing Destiny

"What's going on? Where am I now?" Wiry Alice while widening her eyes.

Alice saw a woman wearing a dress commonly worn in ancient times, prostrating herself on the floor crying. Alice tried to get up but she felt all over her body in excruciating pain as if she had fallen from a high place.

"Aarrgghh!" Stubborn Alice.

"Your Majesty! Thank goodness you're a human." She called out and approached Alice.

"Who are you? And where am I now?" Ask Alice.

The woman rounded her eyes.

"Do you not remember anything Your Majesty? You don't remember the servant either?" Ask the woman confused.

Alice shakes.

"Oh my God what happened to Her Majesty the Queen?" Said the woman while crying.

"You haven't answered my question." Alice said coldly.

The woman immediately wiped her tears.

"I am Marie, your faithful servant, Her Majesty Queen Roseline. Your husband is His Majesty King Alec Cardania. And we are now in the kingdom of Cardania. And His Majesty the King is currently in Brilliant Work to sign the peace treaty and stop the war that took place between the Kingdom of Cardania and the Brilliant Kingdom." Marie.

Alice rounded her eyes in disbelief.

"So I got into the world of the novels I read in Daddy's and Mommy's room. And now I'm playing Queen Roseline, the weak and neglected queen." Inner Alice.

"Your Majesty, are you okay?" Marie asked Alice's daydreams.

"I'm fine, Marie. What the hell happened to me? Why is my body so painful?" Ask Alice.

"His Majesty fainted after getting a whip sentence of 25 times. His Majesty King Alec is angry that you are recklessly drinking the King's drink at His Majesty's birthday party Empress Helene." Bright Marie.

Alice fell silent and remembered the story in the novel.

"Basar the king did not know it was lucky. Queen Roseline deliberately drank it because the drink was poisoned. And with the affirmation of the man b******k it punishes his lifesaver." Alice grumbled in her heart.

"That means that the poison is still lodged in this body. I gotta get him out of here." Added.

"Marie's. Are you going to help me?" Ask Alice.

"good. I need you to find me some medicinal herbs, and you need to get them." Said Alice.

Alice mentioned some kind of medicinal plant that she would make into a poison antidote.

"Alright Your Majesty, I'll get it for you soon." Marie said, then immediately stepped out of Alice's room.

Alice slowly got off the bed and headed to the front of the mirror. From the reflection of the mirror, Alice saw the figure of Queen Roseline who was very similar to her in the modern world, but her body was slightly thin and her face was very pale.

"I don't know what brought me to this place and took the place of Queen Roseline. But right now occupying this body is me, Alicia Alexandria Quinn. I will change the fate of this woman. I am the formidable Queen of Roseline and I will avenge all those who have made the former Queen of Roseline suffer." Said Alice while grinning.

Marie's got all the herbs Roseline needs. Roseline examined them one by one, then told Marie to boil all the plants until the boiled water was only one glass.

"Your Majesty, the medicine you want is ready." Said Marie while bringing the results of the decoction of medicinal plants earlier.

Roseline who had cleaned herself and changed clothes immediately sat down and took the medicine.

"Marie please get me a basin." Pinta Roseline's.

"What's the basin, Your Majesty?" Marie didn't understand.

"The big bowl." Roseline answered while enduring the pain and heat in her abdomen and chest.

Marie immediately picked up a basin or large bowl and handed it to Roseline. Roseline was no longer able to hold it back, then spewed black blood into the basin.

Marie widened her eyes.

"Your Majesty." Shouted Marie worriedly.

"Calm Marie. I'm doing fine. The poison in my body is out now." Roseline said with a smile.

"Poisons?" Exciting Marie.

"Yes. The king's drink has been poisoned, and I deliberately drank it." Roseline.

Marie was crying.

"You don't have to worry, Marie. I'm healed now." Roseline.

Slowly the pale skin of Roseline turns to normal again. Marie immediately cleaned the blood mixed with poison. Roseline asks Marie to keep it a secret from anyone.

Roseline stood by the window and saw the view of the ancient European Kingdom building.

"Queen Roseline still has a family, namely her father and older brother. I have to meet them, so I can change Queen Roseline's destiny. I don't want to die for nothing at the hands of that heartless man." Roseline Mumbled.

Marie went into Roseline's room.

"Marie, I want to go home to my father's house. Take me there." Roseline.

"But you just recovered Your Majesty. And you can't go in and out of the palace that easily, Your Majesty." Marie.

"You don't have to be afraid. I'll tell His Majesty the Queen Mother." Roseline.

In Her Majesty's novel Queen Mother Helene, King Alec's mother is a kind and affectionate woman to Roseline. The only member of the royal family to receive his presence.

Early in the morning, Roseline and Marie immediately went to Duke Sullivan's residence in a horse-drawn carriage. And by noon they had arrived at Sullivan's house. Roseline got off the young train. A gust of wind whipped through Roseline's dress as it dashed into the Duke's residence. There was a deep longing that he felt.

The guards and servants looked down respectfully at him.

"Dad." Call Roseline.

"Seline?" Duke Sullivan came out of his study.

Roseline stared fixedly at Duke Sullivan's face. Duke Sullivan's face is very similar to the face of his late father. Roseline ran straight into Duke Sullivan's arms.

"Dad. I miss you." Said Roseline sobbing.

Duke Sullivan smiled as he rubbed his daughter's back.

"Dad misses you too, Seline." Duke Sullivan.

"line. You coming?" Ramon, Roseline's older brother.

Mr. Sullivan unraveled their embrace. Roseline looked at Ramon's face fixed, and once again Alice (Roseline) was taken aback. Ramon's face is very similar to the face of his mother, Madame Gabriela Quinn. She remembers that her parents told her she had an older brother named Romeo. At the age of 2 years Romeo died after experiencing high fever and convulsions.

"Oh, brother." Call Roseline a little stiff.

"Hey, why is my powerful sister stiffened like this? Let's hug your handsome brother." Ramon.

Ramon pulls Roseline's body into his arms. There was a warm feeling that Roseline felt in her heart.

"So this feels like a big brother's hug." Inner Roseline with a faint smile.

"What are you suddenly coming here for? And are you okay? Brother heard His Majesty the King punished you for your disrespectful attitude at the Queen Mother's birthday party." Read Ramon.

"Dad, Brother. Seline please take Seline away from the palace. Seline doesn't want to live there anymore." Roseline said with a pleading face.

Duke Sullivan and Ramon were shocked and widened their eyes.

"What are you saying, Seline? You are now the Queen of the Kingdom of Cardania." Tegur Duke Sullivan's.

Duke Sullivan let out a long sigh.

"Dad is sorry, because once Father could not resist the desire of the previous King to marry you to his son. I know you're tormented because His Majesty the King can't love you. I hope you can be patient. I'm sure one day King Alec will love you." Duke Sullivan.

"That's not gonna happen, Dad. King Alec loves another woman. And soon she will be brought into the palace." Roseline.

In the novel it is told that King Alec brought home a woman who would later become the King's favorite concubine.

"Do you want to say King Alec has another woman besides you, his legal wife?" Ramon asked with emotion.

Roseline nodded.

"You know where it's coming from?" Ask Duke Sullivan.

"You don't need to know where I know it from. Father and brother prove it themselves. The woman was Countess Sarah, daughter of Count Donovan. I'm sure His Majesty the King will take him home to the palace when he returns from the Brilliant Kingdom." Answer Roseline.

Duke Sullivan sits on a chair. She couldn't bear to see her beloved daughter have a love rival from her husband. Ramon's face hardened and his hands squeezed his robe hard. Ramon did not accept his brother being cheated on by King Alec.

"You can't just leave the palace, even though King Alec brought another woman into the palace. Her Majesty The Queen Mother would definitely not be that easy to accept that woman. The Queen Mother loves you very much." Duke Sullivan.

"But we can't stay silent if Seline is treated unfairly, Dad. I will never accept seeing my sister tormented by another woman entering their household." Ramon Protests.

Duke Sullivan took a deep breath.

"You'd better get back to the palace, Seline. I don't want you to get in trouble again." Duke Sullivan.

"Alright Dad. Seline's back at the palace now. Fathers and sisters must take good care of your health. Seline loves you guys so much." Roseline said as she hugged the two men she already considered to be her own father and brother.

Roseline and Marie are soon back at the palace. Roseline will meet the Queen Mother and apologize for leaving without her permission.

Roseline walks to the Queen Mother's palace. The bodyguards and servants were shocked to see Roseline's unusual appearance. If the Queen Roseline who used to always look glamorous with an expensive dress and a little thick makeup, but now the dress she wears seems simple and the makeup also looks natural. But all of that could not dissipate the aura of a Roseline Queen's natural beauty.

"Tell Her Majesty the Queen Mother if I come to face," Roseline ordered the Queen Mother's maid.

The maid nodded respectfully and immediately entered into the Queen Mother's room, and before long the maid came out.

"Please enter Her Majesty the Queen. Her Majesty the Queen Mother is waiting for you" said the maid.

Seline immediately entered the Queen Mother's room.

"This old woman is good dear." Suri Helene answered while hugging Roseline.

The two sat face to face on the chair.

"Seline came here to apologize to Mom, because Seline went back to Duke Sullivan's residence without asking permission first." Roseline.

"Mom's okay, son. I know you must miss your father and brother. I forgive you." Said Suri Helene's Mother.

"Thank you, Mother." Roseline said with a smile.

"Two more days His Majesty the King will return." Said the Queen Mother.

Roseline simply nodded with a faint smile.

"Mother apologizes for all of Your Majesty the King's attitude towards you. I hope you can be patient. I'm sure you'll get my son's love. I want to see you both happy." Said the Queen Mother.

"Your Majesty, Marquess Filan came to face." Report a waiter.

"Send him in." Answer the Queen Mother.

Marquess Filan entered the room.

"Greetings Your Majesty the Queen Mother. Greetings Her Majesty the Queen." Sapa Marquess Filan's.

"Sit down, Marquess." The Queen Mother's Order.

Marquess Filan immediately sat down and was surprised to see Roseline's new appearance, and got a cold look from Roseline.

"So this man who ruthlessly beheaded Marie, while trying to protect Queen Roseline from the cruel charge." Inner Roseline.

"Aren't these women usually looking at me like this? Usually he looked down and didn't dare look at me one bit." The Inner Marquess Filan.

"Mother, it seems like there is something important that Marquess Filan will convey. Seline's going back to Seline's castle." Roseline.

"Alright, Son. You rest, must be tired after traveling far from Duke Sullivan's residence." Said the Queen Mother.

Roseline saluted the Queen Mother and Marquess Filan and took her foot to leave the Queen Mother's palace with Marie, and returned to the Queen's palace.

Roman who had just arrived at the Duke's residence immediately met his father.

"How's Ramon?" Ask Duke Sullivan.

"What Seline said is right, Dad. His Majesty King Alec has met Countess Sarah. And they're going back to Cardania together." Answer Ramon.

"What are we gonna do now, Dad?" Ask Ramon.

"Later we'll talk to Seline. If King Alec is really going to marry that woman, then I myself will ask His Majesty the King to return Seline and take her away away from this kingdom." Duke Sullivan.
