Chapter 38. Barbeques
King Alec and Queen Roseline arrive at the queen's palace. Duke Ramon and Arabella are waiting in the palace garden. King Alec and the Marquess were surprised to see the woman standing next to Duke Ramon wearing a sapphire-colored dress and makeup similar to Queen Roseline.
"Sincerely, Sire."
Duke Ramon and Arabella saluted.
"Duke Ramon, Miss Arabella." King Alec could recognize Arabella at close range. Although it looks similar, King Alec can distinguish which Queen Roseline is the real one and which is not.
"Yet you came too. Is everything going well?" Ask Duke Ramon.
"What about sister?" Queen Roseline replied with a grin.
The Duke raised both his hands and gave a round of applause with a smile.
"Seline is awesome." Arabella said as she held up her two thumbs.
"So, you've planned everything?" Ask King Alec.
Queen Roseline nodded. "We're just slightly modifying their nefarious plans."
"They? Who do you mean? And how do you know about the evil plan?" King Alec is getting curious.
"To know the evil plan is not difficult, Sire. My brother's shadow bodyguards are always reliable. And who they are, I'm sure your Majesty can guess." Queen Roseline replied with a smile.
"What are Baron Joseph and Baroness Yolanda?"
"The right guess."
King Alec clenched his hands together until the veins of his hands protruded with the jaws of his face hardened. Queen Roseline touched King Alec's left hand.
"Holden your emotions. Most importantly, He had survived their trap. He was wasting his energy in anger and annoyance. It can also make your Majesty grow old quickly if Your Majesty's face continues to harden like that."
The look on King Alec's face instantly turned soft and smiled. King Alec pulls the hand of Queen Roseline and kisses her. Shortly after, Queen Roseline immediately pulled her hand and looked wrong.
"We'd better start the barbeque because I'm so hungry." Said Queen Roseline as she stepped foot towards the barbeque party that had been prepared by Duke Ramon and Arabella.
King Alec smiled and followed in the footsteps of Queen Roseline with Duke Ramon. Marquess Filan walks beside Arabella.
"So you disguised yourself as Queen Roseline to trick us all. But how can it be? I'm pretty sure that Queen Roseline was at the Queen Mother's party." Ask Marquess Filan.
Arabella pursed her lips.
"That's right. We switched places when we were going to the queen's palace."
Marquess Filan scrunched her forehead cluelessly. Arabella threw her breath away violently.
"Didn't the party to the palace go through some hallways? We exchanged positions in one of the hallways." Arabella.
Marquess Filan understood and nodded her head. Arabella was about to step foot, but Marquess Filan held her back.
"Is there anything else, Lord Marquess?" Arabella asked annoyedly.
"Thank you." Answer Marquess Filan.
"Huh?"
"Thank you for helping His Majesty." Said Marquess Filan while restraining her prestige.
"Thank you to the Queen, for all this was the idea of the Queen herself." Sahut Arabella's.
"But you also played a part in this plan. I'm saying thank you."
"All right, thank you, sir. Is there any more?" Ask Arabella.
"I also want to apologize because I've been rude to you before."
Arabella squinted her eyes. "Master is fine?"
Marquess Filan snorted in annoyance. "Don't taunt me. I've lowered my self-esteem to say that word."
Arabella could not help but laugh, making Marquess Filan even more upset.
"Ekhm! I'm also sorry Mr. Marquess because I once fell and befell you, have also taken..." Arabella said while pointing at her lips.
"alright. We'd better join them soon."
Arabella walked ahead of Marquess Filan to cover her flushed face. Shortly after, Marquess Filan followed him from behind. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the barbeque and helping each other out. King Alec prepares a cut of beef with Duke Ramon, while Marquess Filan and Felix grill the meat. Queen Roseline, Marie and Arabella prepared herbs and other dishes.
After the roasted beef matured, they immediately devoured it to the point of being unceremonious. It is seen if they are hungry, because they did not have time to eat the dishes that had the feast of the Queen Mother. They enjoy their little party while chatting and exchanging stories of funny things they have experienced.
"It's already night, you'd better return to the guest pavilion. I must be worried about you right now. Duke Ramon told Queen Roseline.
"Alright, Brother. Give my regards to Dad and tell him I'm okay so you don't worry too much." Answer Queen Roseline.
Duke Ramon immediately resigned and left the queen's palace.
"How about His Majesty? He cannot return to the king's palace." Ask Marquess Filan.
"I'll stay at your place, Filan." Answer King Alec.
"No. He must stay in this palace." Queen Roseline's.
King Alec looked at Queen Roseline who was beside him and smiled happily.
"Don't think anything, Sire." Seen Queen Roseline with her sharp gaze.
King Alec and Queen Roseline are in the Queen's room. Marie had already prepared a nightgown for King Alec. King Alec came out of the dressing room and saw Queen Roseline standing by the window. King Alec immediately approached him.
"If the Queen is uncomfortable, the Queen sleeps on the bed and I will sleep on the chair." King Alec.
"No. We both sleep in bed. Just sleep, nothing more." Queen Roseline answered while being kind and looking at King Alec.
"All right." Answer King Alec.
Raja and Rstu sleep with their backs to each other and their hearts are pounding. In the morning, Queen Roseline was surprised to realize her position was tightly hugging King Alec's body. Queen Roseline immediately woke up slowly, worried that it would wake King Alec up and for sure it would be very embarrassing. But quickly, King Alec pulls her and Queen Roseline back into King Alec's arms.
"It's still too early, Queen." Said King Alec while tightening his embrace.
"What did His Majesty do? Release servant. Servants can't wait to see the faces of the villains upset that their plans have failed." Queen Roseline was upset.
King Alec let out a long breath.
"Please, just leave it like this for a minute." Please King Alec with a clear face.
"Just for a minute." Answer Queen Roseline.
King Alec and Queen Roseline had already arrived in front of the king's palace and saw many people crowding there.
"Is your Majesty ready?" Ask Queen Roseline.
"of course. I can't wait to punish them." King Alec replied coldly.
