Dave's Decision

"If you like it, approach it. If you can keep it away from my wife. I don't like it very much. He even blatantly said he would take Jeslyn from me. It felt like I wanted to eliminate him from this world, when he said that," Dave said with an annoyed face.

Stella chuckles. "Jeslyn is amazing. I didn't think that he could make a Dave Tjendra a foggy mess. At first I wondered what kind of woman could destroy my position and be able to conquer Dave Christian Tjendra who was notoriously difficult to approach. She is a tough and attractive woman. I want to know him more deeply." A smile rises with Stella's tiny lips.

"Stella, do you think she'll change her mind and no longer want to divorce me?" ask Dave.

Stella just met Jeslyn who just got home from work. Stella invites him to speak at a cafe in their apartment neighborhood. While Dave waits at Stella's apartment with Alea. He was accompanying Alea to sleep in her room. After Alea fell asleep Dave waited for Stella with anxious feelings in the living room while continuing to hold her phone.

"How's it?" dave asked when Stella had just walked into his apartment.

"She...." Stella deliberately hung up her words to make Dave curious.

"He why Stella? Don't scare me. What's he saying?" Dave can't wait for Stella's story.

Stella sat down before Dave leisurely. "He still won't say he still loves you. He's pretty stubborn too."

Dave immediately bowed listlessly. "I told you. He no longer loves me. Better not let's continue with Stella."

"But he said he didn't want to divorce you."

Dave raised his head. "really?? You're not lying?" ask Dave quickly.

"Yeah, we'll know for sure tomorrow. Is the letter ready?"

Dave nodded. "It has. I'll have Zayn take it to my lawyer and give it to you tomorrow morning."

Dave did ask his lawyer to make divorce papers. Dave just wanted to know if Jeslyn really wanted to divorce him by giving him the fake divorce papers.

"alright. I'll see Jeslyn again if the letter's in my hands,"

"If our plan fails, I intend to let it go" Dave said resignedly.

For a few days Dave seemed to be pondering. He had thought of letting go of Jeslyn if his efforts were to go to waste. He no longer wanted to impose his will.

Stella looked at Dave. "Are you sure? Didn't you say you loved her so much?"

Dave looked at Stella with a sad face. "Yeah, I can't take it off, but I can't be selfish. I don't want to hurt her anymore by holding her by my side. If taking it off can make her happy, then I will."

"You can try to melt her heart again, Dave. Don't just give up" Stella advises.

"There's no point in being able to live with him if he doesn't love me anymore. If he signs the letter correctly, then he is sure he wants to part with me. I won't force him anymore. I've decided to move out of the country. I can't live in the same city as him. I'm afraid I can't take it off later" Dave said sadly.

After his divorce, Dave will live in France and manage his company there. He had already strengthened his resolve to completely let go of Jeslyn and never bother Jeslyn again.

"Are you sure of your decision?"

Stella does not expect Dave to be hurt by his separation from Jeslyn. He never saw Dave so badly down as he is today.

Dave nodded slowly. "Yes I'm sure. My life would be a mess if I still lived here, especially if I saw him happy with another man."

Dave felt like a big rock was squeezing his chest when he said that.

"Come with me to France, Stella. I'm going to create a new identity for you so that Daniel's family can't find you. We both start a new life there. Help me forget it, Stella. Only you can help me, "please Dave with eyes that radiate deep sadness.

"Alright, let's try our last attempt. If she decides to divorce you. We've got it all. I'll come with you to France" Stella said.

Stella thinks there's nothing wrong with her joining Dave moving abroad. Moreover, the country they are headed to is France. He can deepen the talent he has as a designer.

"So all this time you've been just having a show?" jeslyn asked when she knew the truth.

"Your plans to get married are also just kandiwira?" Jeslyn still doesn't believe what Dave told her.

"Yeah. I just want to know if you still want to divorce me and let me marry Stella" Dave said with a guilty face.

Jeslyn simply looked at her husband with a hard-to-understand look. Dave felt anxious when he saw his wife was silent.

"I know, I was wrong. You have a right to be angry, but I have no other way. Ever since you miscarried, you ignored me and didn't seem to like me being around you. You've always kept your distance from me, like you hate me. It looks like you don't like to see me" Dave said.

All this time Jelsyn thought that Dave would be back with Stella, but it turned out that his guess was wrong. Jeslyn felt that he had been lied to.

"So you've been playing me this whole time?" asked Jeslyn with a flat face. " Surely you're laughing at me like a fool, right?" jelsyn asked with a sneaky smile.

"That's not what I mean by Jes, I just want to make sure how you feel about me. If I ask you directly, you can't tell me. Don't tell me, just talk to me you don't want to." Dave was trying to withstand the turmoil that was inside his chest.

"Originally you know, not seeing you for a week is more tormenting. I'm trying to hold back my feelings for you because I can't see you given your attitude to keep rejecting whatever I do for you."

Jeslyn remained silent, not responding to Dave's remarks at all. He was still trying to digest the reality he had just known.

"I understand if you're mad at me. I'm sorry if you're offended. I didn't mean to play you Jes" Dave said regretfully.

"What if I don't forgive you?" asked Jeslyn without looking at Dave.

"That's your right, Jes, I'll take it. I won't stop you again if you really want to part with me. I'll let you go." Dave tried to hold the tightness inside his chest.

"I'll just ask you one more time. Can't you give me a chance to fix our household?" dave asked expectantly, "i still love you very much Jes," Dave said with a sad face.

Jeslyn turned to her husband. "If you were me, after everything that has happened to our household, from the beginning to the present, would you still be able to give a chance to the person who has hurt you?"

Dave's heart ached. Like a wound sprinkled with salt. "All right, I get it. Again I'm sorry, Jes." Dave tries to hide his hurt feelings from Jeslyn.

"Rest me, I'll tell Maya to take care of you. I have something to take care of for a moment. I'll be back later" Dave said, stroking Jeslyn's head.

"I'll go first." Dave kissed Jeslyn's head and then walked out of his wife's room.

Stella grabs Dave's door handle. With a quick step he approached Dave who was busy in front of his desk. "What did you mean by that Dave?" stella asked when she was standing by Dave's desk.

Dave called her and said their plan had failed. Stella actually knows what Dave means, only Stella is hesitant with Dave's words, because Stella is very sure that Jeslyn does not want to divorce Dave.

Dave put down his pen and raised his head to stare at Stella. "He won't forgive me" Dave said with a bitter smile.

"Then you're just gonna give up?" stella asked with a furious face.

He actually did not understand Jeslyn's line of thought. Before the accident he loudly said that he did not want to divorce Dave, but kenpa now the results are different.

"As I told you. If our plan this time fails, I will give up. I won't force it anymore."

"But, he said he didn't want to divorce you."

Dave breathed heavily. "That's because back then he thought I was betraying him, so he didn't want to divorce me because he didn't want to let us live happily. But after he knew the truth. He felt angry and very disappointed in me" Dave said.

"We'd better sit there" Dave said as he walked ahead of Stella. After the two of them sat on the sofa and faced each other, they continued their conversation.

"I'm going to see Jeslyn to explain that it's not your fault." Stella feels guilty for Dave because most of it was her idea.

"No need for Stella. I'm afraid he's getting angry at me. Don't ever see him again. We must respect his decision. Just prepare yourself. I've asked Zayn to take care of a new identity for you and Alea. We'll leave once your new identity is established. While waiting for that, I'll take care of the shift of the company's duties and all my business here."

Stella stared sadly at Dave. His eyes began to water. "I'm sorry Dave, I didn't expect the end result to be like this" Stella said with tears streaming out of her eyes.

Dave was trying to look tough. "It's not your fault. Maybe me and Jelsyn were just meant to be here together. I'll take it even though it's heavy."
