Learning to Walk (Bonus chap)

This afternoon, Jeslyn and Dave's home was enlivened by the arrival of her in-laws. For the first time, Jeslyn's in-laws saw their granddaughter walking.

They are gathering in the family room to see Levin learn to walk on his own without the help of others. Dave's parents did not expect that their grandchildren could walk when he was 9 months old.

When Dave was a kid, he was only able to walk at 11 months old, although when Dave was little he was faster to talk than his son, his teeth were faster to grow than Levin.

Levin was only 9 months old a week ago. Jeslyn, who was watching television while accompanying her son to play, was shocked when Levin suddenly stood up and walked with 3 steps to take the ball toy rolling away from her.

After falling, Levin again woke up and continued his steps, after lifting 5 times, Levin again fell, continued again with 7 steps and seperus.

Jeslyn only looked at her son without any intention of helping him. He wants Levin to go it alone, even though Jeslyn is next to Levin every time Levin learns to walk if his son falls he can instantly catch his son's body.

Jeslyn was actually not too worried because Levin was walking on a thick carbet of fur that if dropped would not make Levin sick or injured.

It's just that at the beginning Levin walked, in contrast to Jeslyn looks more relaxed, Dave Precisely who looks very worried his son fell so he always holds Levin when he learns to walk.

"Levin, come here baby" called Dave's mother as she stuck her hands out toward her grandson with one hand holding a toy for Levin to walk up to her.

Levin, who was in Jeslyn's lap, woke up to Dave's mother. Despite being limped and falling several times, Levin wakes up and walks toward Dave's mother. Jeslyn, Dave and Dave's father only look at Levin who seems to have walked closer to his omen.

"Granddaughter, oma is smart, indeed" said Dave's mother when Levin managed to get to him and take the toy in his hand.

Dave got up from his seat and squatted down near his wife. He faced Levin and called him, "Levin, here baby." Dave stretched out to get Levin closer to him.

With a big smile Levin immediately threw away the toy in his hand and immediately walked quickly towards Dave.

"Look at your grandson Pa. If his dad calls, he forgets his toys and walks quickly to his dad" Dave's mom told her husband.

"Levin is more affectionate with his father, Ma," jeslyn confronts her mother-in-law.

Dave was very fond of his son. Every day Dave takes a special time to play with his son before he leaves for work. And every weekend Dave would spend all day with his son.

Dave smiled as Levin was already in his arms. "Of course he loves me, baby. He's my son" Dave said after grabbing Levin's body and holding it.

"The fool also knows that he's your son, Dave. Just look at that face, it's a lot like you," Dave's mother interrupted as she looked at her son.

Dave gives a kiss to his son. "Don't you like it when Levin looks like me?" Dave turned to his mother after he had finished kissing her son's cheek.

"Of course my mom is happy. It's like you have another child" Dave's mother replied with a smile on her child. "Give me another granddaughter to accompany me at home" Mother Dave joked.

Dave glanced at his wife. "If I'm up to Jeslyn Ma because she's pregnant and giving birth."

Dave purposely threw the decision at his wife because he did not want to trouble her. "That's what mommy wants, not me" Dave continued when he got a sharp glance from his wife.

"Mama was just joking Jes. Mama won't force you." Dave's mother approached Dave who was holding his granddaughter.

"Give it to mama." Dave's mother reached out her hand to grab his granddaughter.

Dave passes Levin's body to his mother carefully. "Grandchild, oma seems to be gaining weight," said Dave's mother when she reached for her grandson's body.

"She's very strong at drinking milk, Ma," said Dave.

Dave's mother sat down next to her husband and held his granddaughter. "You're also strong drinking Dave's childhood milk."

"really?" Dave seemed unwilling to admit his behavior when he was a child.

"I don't remember, Ma." Answer Dave casually.

Dave's mother glanced at her son. "Of course it's because you're a kid." Dave's mother then turned to look at his daughter-in-law "Jes, mama is planning to celebrate Levin's first birthday festively in our villa in Bali, how?"

"No need Ma, it's too far away, after all we have other plans" Dave said before his wife opened her voice.

Dave knew that his wife would not dare to refuse his mother-in-law's request even though she objected to his mother-in-law's request for unsavory reasons. Dave knows very well the nature of Jeslyn that one.

"What plan?" ask Dave's mother while looking at her son.

Dave who was sitting quietly beside his wife while leaning on the sofa immediately looked at his mother. "We're going to celebrate at Jeslyn's orphanage, Ma."

Dave's mother's face looked a little disappointed. She actually wanted to make a big party because she wanted to introduce her granddaughter to all her relatives and acquaintances. "Mama has prepared everything."

The orphanage is an orphanage created by Dave that was given specifically to his wife when Jeslyn had her birthday a few months ago.

When Jeslyn was a girl and still a General Doctor she often came to several orphanages to share with disadvantaged children.

Jeslyn even became a regular donor at two orphanages in the suburbs. He also has foster children who he sent to graduate school who have intelligent brains but have limited costs.

There were a total of 15 children who managed to school until graduation before marrying Dave. Even when he was already a Surgeon Specialist, the child who funded his education to the college park increased to 40 children.

Jeslyn is a hardworking woman. He worked hard to raise a lot of money to finance the expenses of underprivileged children, which is why Jeslyn rarely took time off and never took time off before she married Dave.

Even when he married Dave too, his time spent more in the hospital especially at the beginning of his marriage his relationship with Dave was not good.

Dave ignores her so much that Jeslyn chooses to spend time working in the hospital. Jeslyn also never spends money on fun, she prefers to save and use her salary to help others.

"How about after celebrating in the orphanage we celebrate also in Bali, according to Mama's wishes?" jeslyn.

He could not bear to see the disappointed face of his mother-in-law. She can understand the feelings of her mother-in-law who wants to give the best for her grandchildren, especially the grandchild she has long wanted and finally she only got after a long wait.

"You don't have to obey your mother's wishes if you object, Jes," Dave's father interrupted after hearing his daughter-in-law's proposal. Jeslyn's father-in-law knew how difficult his daughter-in-law was to refuse his wife's request.

Jeslyn turned to her father-in-law. "It's okay, Pa. Jeslyn knew that Mama was doing this because she wanted to make Levin happy."

"Jes, if you really object, mama's not pushy. Mama doesn't mind if we celebrate Levin's birthday at the orphanage."

"Yes dear. You don't have to feel compelled if you don't agree" Dave said.

"I don't mind Dave" Jeslyn said, turning to her husband. "We haven't had a vacation since Levin was born. We haven't had a family gathering together since, have we?"

"Well, if that's what you want." Jeslyn's desire was the most important thing for Dave. He will obey his wife's will as long as he can still fulfill it.

"So, can you throw a party for Levin?" ask Dave's mom with a happy face.

"Yaaa Ma," replied Jeslyn softly.

"Thank you, Jes," said Dave's mother with a happy face.
