Advice from Dion

Jeslyn immediately approached Dion who had just walked out of the ICU room. He's been waiting for Dion for an hour in front of the ICU. There was a look of anxiety on Jeslyn's tapered face. “Dion, how's Dave doing?” Jeslyn pulled the end of Dion's white coat sleeve.

Dion looked at Jeslyn's face which looked extremely anxious. “She's okay Jes.. She's fine.”

“But why was he like a confused person?” Jeslyn looked very panicked. He's not thinking straight.

Dion holds Jeslyn's shoulder. “Jes, it's normal for a patient who just woke up from a coma, let alone having a head injury. Don't you know something like this too?”

Dion tries to understand Jeslyn's anxiety that makes him unable to think well. Jeslyn is known as the best Surgeon in the hospital, which means he should know the patient's condition post-surgery.

“I'm sorry Dion. My mind went blank looking at Dave like I didn't recognize me. I'm just afraid he's having Amnesia because of the head injury he's been through.”

Dion nodded. “Iyaa I know. His surgery was successful and he had no other complications besides coma.”

“Can I meet him for a while Dion?” Jeslyn could not wait to meet her husband. He did not even rest in peace.

“I will move to the treatment room after doing a thorough checkup on her. You can meet him later.” There was a look of disappointment on Jeslyn's face.

“Alright,” replied Jeslyn quietly.

“You better wait in your treatment room. I'll let you know that Dave has been moved to the treatment room.” Seeing the sad face and the pale face of Jeslyn made Dion feel pity. It was eager for her to hug the woman she loved, to give her strength.

Jeslyn nodded. “I'll take you.” Dion followed Jeslyn's steps. Dion felt unsettled when he saw the still weak condition of Jeslyn. Never had he seen Jeslyn this weak before. She is a strong woman and never complains. Being ignored by Dave for a year doesn't make her a whiny, melodious woman.

After making sure Jeslyn rested in her room. Dion contacts Sarah to have her check on Jeslyn and her fetus. Ever since Dave got into an accident, Jeslyn has never paid any attention to himself. That's what makes Dion worried about Jeslyn's health condition.

Dion walked over to the patient's bed. He saw Jeslyn looking asleep with a tired face. Dion decided to sit by Jeslyn's bedside while looking at Jeslyn's face. Unwilling to wake Jeslyn up, Dion decides not to wake her. He chose to sit down while playing his phone, waiting until Jeslyn woke up.

Jeslyn began to move his body while slowly opening both of his eyes. Dion's been waiting for Jeslyn for half an hour. “Dion, why are you here?” Jeslyn looked surprised to see Dion sitting next to her while playing with a cell phone.

Dion smiled faintly. “I'm waiting for you to wake up.”

Jeslyn wakes up from her sleep helped by Dion. “Has Dave been moved to the treatment room?” Jeslyn tries to guess the intention of Dion's arrival to his nursery.

Dion nodded. “Iyaa..He's resting. We'll see the results of the check tomorrow.”

“Is everything going to be okay?”

“So far it's still fine. We'll look at the next few days, if he doesn't have any complications after surgery. Nothing to worry about.”

“Good.. I want to see him.” Jeslyn immediately flicked away the blanket that covered her body. “You should eat first before visiting it.” Dion stopped Jeslyn from getting out of bed. “Think also of the baby in your womb Jes.”

Despite the fact that Jeslyn is pregnant with Dave's child, Dion is disappointed, but his instincts as a doctor make him unable to ignore the safety of the baby contained by Jeslyn.

“Sorry Dion, who is on my mind right now just wants to see Dave's situation right away. I sometimes forget that I'm pregnant.” Jeslyn went back to bed.

Dion took the tray containing the food, then put it on Jeslyn's lap. “Dave will definitely be disappointed if anything happens with your content.” Dion knows that the baby is the only one who can keep Jeslyn tied to Dave's side.

“I'm not a good mother-to-be. I shouldn't have ignored it.” Jeslyn looked down with a face full of regret.

“Already, better spend your food.” Jeslyn nodded then started putting food in her mouth. “Didn't you have nausea and vomiting again?” ask Dion curious. He was surprised to have never seen Jeslyn nauseous and vomiting, even though he had hypermsis.

“Still, just not too often because Sarah always gives me nausea and vomiting medicine. My body condition also improved because he often gave me inpus fluid when my body started to weaken.”

She was grateful because since Dave had an accident, she did not feel too bothered by her pregnancy, only her body was weak due to lack of intake, thus making her faint several times.

“You should pay more attention to your health condition Jes. Do not let your fetus be affected later.” Dion and Sarah are the most chatty people about Jeslyn's pregnancy.

“Iyaa I know.”

After finishing his meal and taking the medicine Jeslyn was accompanied by Dion walking towards Dave's treatment room. Dave's room was on the same floor as her. They occupy the VIP Executive room, the highest type of room in the hospital. As the wife and owner of the hospital, of course they will occupy the nicest room.

Jeslyn slowly opened the door. He saw Dave still asleep. Jeslyn and Dion stepped in slow steps without leaving a sound. They didn't want to wake Dave who was resting.

Jeslyn's eyes began to glaze over. Between happy and sad. Happy because Dave finally realized. Sad to see the condition of Dave's body that looks still weak. Even though some of the tools in his body had been removed, it still made Jeslyn feel sad.

Jeslyn saw that Dave's head was bandaged, and there were some small cuts on his handsome face. His left hand also had some scratches, while the right hand was bandaged from his wrist to his palm.

Jeslyn slowly sat down next to Dave. Her tears are back. “Dion, give me Dave's medical report later. I want to see it.” Jeslyn feels the need to check Dave's medical report. He doesn't want anything to be missed by him.

Dion nodded. “Hopefully in the next few days he does not experience any complications post this operation.”

“Iyaa.. I gave him pain medication. He complained of pain in the scar of his operation. For a while don't let him move much. You know what not to do?” Dion just wanted to make sure that Jeslyn knew what he had to do.

“Iyaa I know Dion.”

Dave seemed to start moving because he heard the voices of Dion and Jeslyn. Slowly he opened his eyes. His eyes were on the woman he loved so much. “Dave, you can't move much. Your wounds can reopen if you keep moving,” Jeslyn said quickly when she saw Dave's hand start to lift.”

Dave who understands directly obey the words of Jeslyn. “You will not recover quickly if you move a lot. If you need something, let me get it,” continued Jelsyn again when he saw Dave was just silent while continuing to look at him.

Dave's gaze slowly turned on Dion. A look that is hard to interpret for anyone who sees it.

Dion held onto Jeslyn's shoulder while looking at him. “You talk to him. I'm going back to work. You can go to my room later to get the medical report.” Dion felt that Dave did not like to see her there.

Jeslyn looked at Dion. “Good. Thank you Dion.” Dion nodded then passed leaving the two of them.
