Dave entered the hospital courtyard and parked his car near the entrance. He waits until Jeslyn's job is done.

"Dave, have you waited a long time?" Dave turned to Jeslyn when he had just sat down next to her. "No, put your belt on." Dave started the car.

"Sorry Dave, I'm having a lot of patients, so I can't get home in time." Jeslyn feels guilty for making Dave wait for her to finish work.

Dave nodded. "We went home first after that we just went to my mom's house" said Dave while running his car.

Jeslyn turned to Dave who seemed focused on driving. "Did Felicia know that I was going with you?" Jeslyn suspects that Felicia doesn't know about her participation in Dave's parents' house.

"No, as long as you're there you should always be around me, mama and Felicia will definitely be looking for you."

Dave has bad thoughts about his mother and Felicia and thinks they must be up to something.

The car stopped right in front of their house. Jeslyn first got out of the car. Jeslyn headed straight for his room. Not long after that Dave followed Jeslyn into the room.

"I'm going to take a shower in the next room" Dave said as he watched Jeslyn sitting at the dresser. Jeslyn nodded then walked into the bathroom.

Jeslyn came out of the bathroom after drying her hair. He saw that Dave was well-dressed and was sitting on a long sofa in front of his bed.

"Prepare. I'm waiting downstairs." Dave walked out of his room after seeing Jeslyn nod.

As he was going down the stairs, he met Felicia. "Dave, what time are we going to your mom's?" felicia asked gently as she followed Dave's steps down the stairs. She looks graceful in a light blue knee-length dress. She purposely dressed up pretty today to attract Dave's attention.

"A little while." Dave walked into the living room and waited for Jeslyn there.

"Dave, I heard that my mom's health has been bad lately. Don't make him angry later. Just obey whatever the request," said Felicia when she was sitting next to Dave.

"Fel, what have you told my mom about my departure with Jeslyn to surabaya?”

Dave is suspicious of Felicia. She guessed that Felicia must have incited her mother to hate Jeslyn more.

Felicia glanced at Dave for a moment. “I didn't say anything Dave. You don't trust me?” Felicia knew that Dave was suspecting her. Felicia tried to stay calm.

“Dave, I'm ready.” Jeslyn walked over to Dave and Felicia. Felicia and Dave immediately turned their eyes to Jeslyn. Felicia's eyebrows are wrinkled.

“Jeslyn will come with us,” Dave said when he saw Felicia's astonished face.

Dave stood beside Jeslyn. “Dave, but mama just asked the two of us to go there. Why didn't you tell me before you took her?” felicia asked with an annoyed face.

“I don't need your approval. You agree or not I don't care.” Jeslyn just kept quiet while pursing her lips. He deliberately wanted to upset Felicia.

“You wait here. I'll get my car keys and my phone,” Dave told Jeslyn.

Jeslyn nods then walks over to the couch when Dave is already walking into his room. “Are you sure you're going there? You are an uninvited guest. You should know that mom never liked you,” Felicia said in a mocking tone. Felicia deliberately provoked Jeslyn's anger for him to change his mind.

Jeslyn looked at Felicia who seemed to be standing arrogantly in front of him. “The most important thing is that Dave loves me, that was enough of a reason for me to accompany my husband there.”

“You don't be proud just yet. That won't last long. I will make sure that Dave is my only one,” said Felicia arrogantly. “I can give what you can't give Dave.”

Felicia tried to attack Jeslyn's weakness. He thought Jeslyn would not be able to repay him.

Jeslyn stood over to Felicia. Jeslyn raised the corner of her lips. “What do you mean is a child?” Actually Jeslyn knew the meaning of Felicia's words.

“Of course, let alone?” said Felicia haughty.

“Do you really think that I can't give Dave a child?” jeslyn asked no less haughty.

“You are a doctor, you should know about it. Your marriage to Dave is in its second year, but there's no sign of you getting pregnant yet. There are only two possibilities right now, which are you barren or Dave never touched you at all.”

Felicia actually believes that Jeslyn is barren. Ria never thought that Dave never touched Jeslyn.

“It's precisely because I'm a doctor so I know the condition of my body. What if I could give Dave a kid?”

“Prove it if you can. Before that happens I'll be pregnant with Dave's child first, so dream while you can, because when I get pregnant later, all of Dave's attention will be on me. He will surely ignore you. You will cry blood when I get pregnant,” Felicia said confidently.

“I don't care. Let's see, who she'll care about if we're both pregnant with her child.”

Felicia looked annoyed, she did not expect that Jeslyn could be that calm. He thought that Jeslyn would get carried away by emotions when discussing the subject of children.

“What are you guys talking about?” Dave walked up to the two of them.

“No Dave,” says Jeslyn fast. He saw a question mark on Dave's face.

“But Dave...”.

“If you don't want to sit in the back, you can take a taxi,” Dave said indifferently.

Felicia stomped her feet then turned around, she accidentally bumped her shoulder with Jeslyn's shoulder before she grabbed the back door of the car. Jeslyn felt that Felicia's attitude was childish. He chose not to mind Felicia's strange attitude.

No chatter on the way. There was only Felicia's sharp gaze aimed at Jeslyn through the front rearview mirror. Jeslyn appeared to be relaxed and pretended not to see him. He was happy that Dave managed to upset Felicia without her having to intervene directly.

When their car enters Dave's parents' residence. Jeslyn's gaze immediately fell on her mother-in-law who was waiting at the door. Jeslyn finds out that her mother-in-law wants to welcome her favorite daughter-in-law Felicia.

During her marriage, she had never been treated that way by her mother-in-law. She felt her life was a little sad because she did not get good treatment from her in-laws.

Before he got out of the car, Jeslyn took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. She should be prepared to receive sharp words from her mother-in-law later. Felicia went down to her mother-in-law.

“You rest easy, there's me.” Dave clasped Jeslyn's hand when he saw Jeslyn's tense face. Dave knew that his mother would intimidate Jeslyn later.

Jeslyn nodded, then walked inside along with Dave. While Felicia had entered first with her mother-in-law.

“You came also Jeslyn,” Dave's mother said when she saw her son enter the dining room with Jeslyn.

“She's my wife Ma, of course I have to take her.” Dave immediately opened his voice before Jeslyn answered his mother's words.

“Goodnight, Ma,” say hello Jeslyn politely.

Dave's mother did not respond to Jeslyn's greeting. He pretended not to listen. Dave then pulled up Jeslyn's hand to sit next to her. Felicia was sitting next to Dave's mother.

“Papa to where?” dave asked when he didn't see his papa at the dinner table.

“Being resting in the room. Your father is not feeling well.” Before the arrival of his son and daughter-in-law. Dave's mother had already prepared food for her husband. He brought it to his room.

“Better we eat first.” Time has shown at 7pm. They eat in silence.

“Dave, I heard from Mark these few days you didn't go to the office. Do you want to bankrupt our company instantly?”

From the words of his mother, Dave can conclude that his mother already knew about his departure following Jeslyn to Surabaya. Dave knew that his mother was deliberately looking for faults to blame Jeslyn.

“Mama knows you love your wife, but you shouldn't sacrifice office business just to keep her company. You're the company leader Dave. You must not attach more importance to your personal affairs than the affairs of the company.”

Dave was starting to get upset. “Maa, I know what I'm doing. I will not let the company in danger.” Jeslyn was actually prepared if her mother-in-law would blame her for Dave going after her to Surabaya.

Hearing his son's answer, Dave's mother seemed to be getting angry. He glanced at Jeslyn and turned to his son. “If you want to go after Jeslyn out of town, you should take Felicia too. How can you be quick to get a kid if you're always ignoring Felicia. I told you to marry Felicia so you can quickly give me a grandchild.”

“We are trying, Ma,” said Dave lazily.

“Dave, mom doesn't want to know. From now on you should spend more time with Felicia. There's no point in you spending time with Jeslyn. You're just wasting your time because he won't be able to give you a son.” Felicia smiled triumphantly after hearing Dave's mother-in-law's words.
