Dave puts his phone on the nightstand after contacting Maya to tell her to come look after his wife as long as she's not around. Dave is planning to go to the office today. He has a lot to do.

"Jes, get up," he called Dave and stroked his wife's head.

Slowly Jeslyn opened her eyes. "You want to work?" asked Jeslyn when she saw her husband was neat with after-work clothes.

Dave nodded while helping Jeslyn sit on the bed. "I've asked Maya to take care of you while I work. There are important things I have to take care of at the company" Dave explained.

"Yeah, it's okay."

In fact he could not bear to leave his wife because Jeslyn had not fully recovered, but he also could not rule out work affairs.

"alright. I'll help you clean your body, and then we'll have breakfast together."

Before Dave took a shower, he had already contacted his assistant to buy them breakfast.

"Dave I can be alone" Jeslyn refused as she looked at her husband.

"alright. I'll lift you up to the bathroom." Without waiting for an answer from Jeslyn, Dave immediately lifted Jeslyn's body into the bathroom.

After taking a shower, Dave took his wife for breakfast. When Jeslyn took a shower, Dave's assistant had already arrived. He delivered food and told her to wait in the loby of her apartment.

After finishing eating Dave immediately say goodbye to his wife because Maya also just came. "Jesss. I'm leaving first," said Dave as he peeked at Jeslyn's forehead.

Jeslyn nodded. "Be careful."

Jeslyn turned to Maya when she heard the bell ringing. "Maya, please open the door" Jeslyn said when she heard the bell ringing repeatedly.

"Sorry Madam, Mr. Dave forbid me to open the door if anyone comes."

Jeslyn's forehead shriveled, then said, "That gel will keep ringing if you don't open it Maya."

When Dave called Maya this morning, Dave had already told Dave a few things, one of which was to prohibit Maya from receiving guests, anyone who came. Maya was doubtful. Because he was afraid Dave would be angry if he found out that he was breaking his orders.

Seeing the doubt on Maya's face, Jeslyn said again, "Then look who's coming first."

Maya finally nodded then walked towards the door. A few minutes later Maya returns with a panicked expression. "What's wrong?"

"That's Madam...."

"Who's coming, Maya?" jeslyn asked because Maya did not continue.

When Maya peeked out of the small, round hole in the door, her face changed. He was shocked to see who had come. The person is the one mentioned by Dave who is not allowed in when he is not around.

"The one who came was your mother-in-law Madam" Maya replied.

Jeslyn looked silent. He had not reacted to Maya's answer. His relationship with Dave's mother has indeed not been good after the incident in the hospital last time. Jeslyn deliberately avoided her mother-in-law several times when her mother-in-law came to her apartment.

At that time, Jeslyn's emotions were still unstable. He is furious with Dave's mother's treatment of him while he is grieving the loss of his future son, but Dave's mother comes to slap him and throws untrue accusations at him. Dave's mother doesn't seem to have given up either. The sound of the bell kept ringing.

"Let my mother-in-law in." Jeslyn exhaled before telling Maya to open the door. Jesyn knew that she would forever not be able to keep avoiding her mother-in-law.

"But Madam, Mr. Dave has advised me not to bring you to his mother."

"Just do what I say. I'll explain it to Dave later. You don't have to be afraid."

"But Madam, I...."

"I'll take responsibility if Dave blames you. You just calm down. Dave wouldn't dare mess with you."

Jeslyn tells her that Maya did not dare to dispute Dave's orders. Because Dave is the owner of the hospital where he works. He was afraid of getting fired from his job

"Okay, Madam." Maya finally agrees to Jeslyn's request after she gets bail from him. He then walked towards the door.

After Maya's departure, with slow steps, Jeslyn walked towards the living room with the help of a cane. When he arrived at the living room, it was seen that Dave's mother was sitting on a brown single sofa.

"Jes," call Dave's mom in a slow tone.

Jeslyn then turned to Maya. "Maya, please get me a cold drink in the fridge" Jeslyn said.

Dave's mother interrupted immediately, "No need, Jes. Mama won't be long."

Jeslyn nodded, then sat down slowly on the long sofa then placed his cane by his side. "Maya, please leave us both."

"Okay, Madam." With quick steps Maya leaves them both.

Dave's mother looks squeezed both his hands. "Jes, mama's here just to apologize. Mama knows that you must still be angry with mama because of what she did last time. Mama didn't really know it was Felicia so you lost your future son, who was none other than your granddaughter." Dave's mother paused his words. He was sorting out what words would be said the other time so that Jeslyn would forgive him.

Jeslyn smiled bitterly at the words of her mother-in-law. "Grandson...??" repeat Jeslyn with one eyebrow raised. "Didn't Mama ever say that Mama never thought of my unborn child as Mama's grandchild? Did Mama forget? Mama even said she didn't need a child from me" Jeslyn said with a face that looked angry.

"Mama's sorry, Jes. Mama knows, mama's wrong. There's probably been countless mistakes you've made while you were married to Dave. Mama's been blinded by such great hatred that she doesn't know which one is right" Dave's mother said with a guilty face.

"Mama knows that my mother's actions have been very outrageous to you. Mama's sorry for being so rude and always cornering you, Jes. In fact, all this time you've never done anything wrong to Mom," continued Dave's mother again.

"Ma, I need time to forgive Mama. I'm just a normal human being who can feel hurt and disappointment."

"What should you do to forgive Mom Jess? Dave also won't forgive me before you forgive me. Mama confessed to Jes wrong, shouldn't be unfair to you."

"Mama doesn't have to do anything" Jeslyn said with a calm face.

"Please forgive mom, Jes. Do you need to kneel before you so you can forgive Mama?" Dave's mother no longer knew how to let her son-in-law forgive her mistakes.

"No need, Ma. Don't do that. I'll be seen as an evil son-in-law if I do that" Jeslyn replied quickly.

Although he still felt disappointed, but he could not possibly let his mother-in-law kneel to him.

"Pardon Mama is easy for me, but the hard thing is to forget what you've done to me. I don't take revenge on Mama, it's just that I need time to really be able to forgive Mama and forget everything." 

Dave's mother immediately moved to sit next to Jeslyn. "Jes, Mama understands this is hard for you, but please give mama a chance to mend our relationship. Give me a chance to make amends for your mama's mistakes. Mama promised not to repeat it again" Dave's mother said solemnly. "Mama will keep coming until you'll forgive mom."

"Mama doesn't have to do that, Ma."

"Square." The door sounds open.

"Dave," said Dave's mother and Jeslyn in unison.

They were very surprised by Dave's sudden presence. Without Jeslyn knowing that Maya directly contacted Dave when he left the guest room. At least he won't be blamed by Dave if he tells Dave about his mother's whereabouts in his apartment.

With a worried face Dave approached Jeslyn and squatted in front of him. "Are you okay? Did Mama do anything bad to you?" asked Dave with an anxious face.

Jeslyn shook her head. "No. Why are you even here? Didn't you say you were busy?" asked Jeslyn astonished.

Just after arriving at the office, Dave immediately called him saying he could not accompany him to lunch because there was a lot of work to be done. That's what makes Jeslyn wonder why her husband suddenly came home without telling her.

"May tell me there's a Mama here." Dave then looked at his mother.

"Why did Mama come here? Didn't I tell you not to go see Jeslyn before she recovers?" Dave said in a slightly high voice.

"Mama just wanted to apologize, Dave," replied Dave's mother with a disappointed face.

He tries to understand why his son suspects his arrival, given how he's been treating Jeslyn.

Dave stood up and looked down at his mother. "Mama can come again after Jeslyn's condition recovers. He can't be stressed, Ma. I don't want him to have much thought."

"Dave, I'm okay," interprets Jeslyn softly, "don't say hard to Mama."

Jeslyn, of course, did not want her husband to be bad to his mother. He doesn't want his mother to think he's the one who fucked Dave.

"alright. Excuse me first." Dave's mother couldn't be there much longer for fear that she would argue with her son again.

After his mother died, Dave sat down next to his wife. "Why did you let Mama in?"

"Dave, there's no point in me avoiding your mother anyway. Although I haven't completely forgiven your mother, I don't want to make things worse" Jeslyn said.

"I'll ask you not to come here again." Dave just doesn't want Jeslyn to feel uncomfortable if his mother keeps coming to visit him.

"No need, Dave. You'll be shutting your mother up later. I can handle it. There's Maya who's always with me. Your mother won't do anything to me."

Jeslyn feels that Dave's mother has started to change. It can be seen from the way he apologized and look into his eyes.

"I'm not calm."

"Go back to work, Dave. You don't have to worry about me" cried Jeslyn.

It's still 11am, certainly not time for a break.

"No. I'll be here to accompany you to lunch. I'll be back after we eat."
