Dave's Patience

“Darling, said doctor Sarah you can go home tomorrow afternoon.”

Dave walked over to Jeslyn who was sitting holding his phone. Before he went to his wife's room, Dave first went to see the doctor who handled Jeslyn.

Jeslyn was silent. He stayed focused on his phone as if Dave was nowhere near him. Ever since he came to his senses, he's only been talking to Dave occasionally.

“Darling, why stay quiet? Can't you forgive me yet?” Dave looked at his wife's face. Her heart ached when Jeslyn still did not want to talk to her.

Jeslyn turned her eyes to her husband. “Dave, I'm going home to my apartment. I don't want to go back to that house again.” Jeslyn stared at her husband flatly.

Dave let out a smooth breath. “Alright, if that's what you want. I have no problem living anywhere, as long as it is with you.”

Inevitably Dave had to budge on Jeslyn. In fact he had already prepared a bigger and luxurious house for them to live in. The house was the one she had purposely prepared for them to live in when she officially divorced Felicia. Dave deliberately didn't say it because he wanted to surprise Jeslyn.

“You don't have to stay with me Dave. I can stay alone,” Jeslyn said with a calm face.

“I'll stay with you. You are my wife. Where might we stay apart.”

Dave showed his fake smile. He tried to heal the pain in his heart with a smile when he saw his wife's cold demeanor.

“Go home, I'm tired. I want istremahat.”

Jeslyn doesn't want to talk any longer with Dave. Every time he saw Dave's face, he was always reminded of a baby he had not yet born.

“I'll accompany you here. I promise I won't bother you.” Dave pulled the blanket when Jeslyn was already lying on the bed.

“Sleep baby,” said Dave gently while peeping his wife's forehead. “I'll sit on the sofa. Call me if you need anything.” Dave walked to the couch.

Since Jeslyn went to the hospital. He never slept quietly. Every night he would wait in front of Jeslyn's room to look after her. He deliberately did not want to wait in his wife's room for fear that Jeslyn would grow angry with him.

Dave sat leaning against the sofa, after which he tried to close his eyes. Not long after he closed his eyes, Dave immediately fell into a deep sleep. For a few days he slept only a few hours.

Jeslyn wakes up after not hearing Dave's movements. He got off the bed while holding a support pole connected to his infusion hose. With a slow step, he approached Dave. Her tears flowed when she was next to her husband.

Jeslyn stepped down from the bed when she just woke up from opening her eyes. “Why not wake me dear?” Dave approached Jeslyn who seemed to have difficulty when he was about to walk while holding the pole peyangga infusususnya.

“I can be alone Dave,” Jeslyn said when Dave was helping him walk.

Dave paid no heed to Jeslyn's words. He just kept leading her to the bathroom. “Can you be alone?” dave asked when Jeslyn had opened the bathroom door.

Jeslyn just nodded. “I'll wait here,” Dave said again before Jeslyn closed the door. Dave had just woken up from his sleep when Jeslyn had just set foot on the floor.

Dave slept on the couch last night, but in Jeslyn's room there was a single bed not far from the patient's bed, which was reserved for the families of patients who stayed overnight.

Dave looked up when he heard the door open. He then helps Jeslyn to bring her a support pole. Jeslyn seemed to just be silent while continuing to walk across the patient's bed.

“I'll take care of your return. You wait here,” Dave said as Jeslyn sat on her bed.

Before Dave left, he asked Jeslyn. “What do you want for breakfast, baby? I'll buy it for you.”

“No need. I'll ask Dion to buy me.”

“No need to trouble others. I am your husband. It is appropriate that I take care of all your needs.” As much as Dave's energy suppresses his anger and jealousy.

“But every time I need someone, only he is by my side.” Jeslyn deliberately said that to insinuate Dave.

Dave closed his eyes as he took a deep breath and exhaled. “I'm sorry. In the future I will try my best to pay more attention to you. I'm going first. I'll buy you breakfast.” Dave left without waiting for an answer from Jeslyn.

After Dave's departure, doctors Sarah and Dion entered Jeslyn's room.

“How are you doing, Jes?” Doctor Sarah stood next to Jeslyn along with Dion.

Jeslyn smiled faintly. “It's better. I'll rest a few days after it'll be back to work.”

“Do not force yourself. You must fully recover before deciding to work.”

Dion felt that Jeslyn was too soon to start working. She was only worried because Jeslyn was still often seen daydreaming if she was alone.

“My body is healthy Dion. I have to busy myself to take my mind off.” Sometimes Jeslyn still remembered with a fetus that he had not been able to give birth. She always cried when she remembered that.

“Maybe it's good if he works Dion, so that he doesn't get too late in grief.”

Dion looked at Jeslyn without saying anything. “Discover your hand.” Sarah wants to remove the infusion hose from Jeslyn's hand.

“I guess, I don't need to prescribe any medication to me. You must also know what medicine you need,” Sarah said when she was done removing her best friend's infusion tube.

Jeslyn's body was almost recovered. There were only a few bruises and scratches on his body and on his face as a result of him falling down the stairs. All the tests showed nothing serious. Fortunately, when you fall from the stairs, your head does not hit hard.

This afternoon, Jeslyn was allowed to go home, while Felicia had to wait a few more days. After Dave made a report to the police, a few days later the police came to pick up Felicia, because of Felicia's condition which was not possible. They waited for Felicia to recover.

Dave's mother also never again came to see Felicia. Dave's mother was allowed to talk by the Seno doctor when her heart condition was fine. Dave's mother never even once came to visit Jeslyn. Just once, she once asked her husband the state of her daughter-in-law.

“Iyaa, I can treat my own wounds. Is it true that Felicia's uterus has been removed?”

Jeslyn immediately remembered her husband's ex-wife. News of her divorce with Dave became a major topic. No one knows the reason behind their divorce. Many media are trying to find out but do not get any information. Dave deliberately did not reveal to the media the reason for their divorce.

"Yeah right. Maybe the punishment for him is for having harmed you" said Sarah's doctor with a satisfied face.

"No need to think of anyone else. Take care of yourself" said Dion. From the beginning Dion did not like Felicia and Dave's mother.

"I'm just curious about Dion."

“Truely said Dion, you better focus on your own health." Same with Dion. Sarah doesn't like Felicia. "I'll go first. I have to work again.”

“Iyaa, thank you, Sarah.”

Doctor Sarah nodded then walked away from Jeslyn's room.

“So, do you really want a divorce with Dave?” Dion sat down on the chair beside Jeslyn.
