Rest In My Room

Jeslyn opened her eyes slowly. He felt the bed next to him. The bed was still neat and there was no warmth at all if Dave did not sleep with him last night.

Jeslyn wakes up from her sleep, thinking that Dave must have slept with Felicia last night. Jeslyn walked towards the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face. After that, he walked into the kitchen. Her stomach's hungry because she hasn't eaten since last night. He immediately decided to go to sleep after Dave's departure last night.

This morning Jeslyn decided to cook, an activity that was delayed due to her quarrel with Dave yesterday. Dave and Felicia haven't looked out as Jeslyn went down the stairs. Today Jeslyn is leaving for the afternoon for the hospital because her schedule is empty in the morning.

Jeslyn deftly processed food into ready-to-eat food, although Jeslyn rarely cooked but he could cook some food. She often helped her mother cook when she was a teenager.

Although she comes from a family that is, Jeslyn is not a spoiled and bad girl. Her parents successfully educated her to be a tough and hardworking girl.

“Dave where?” Jeslyn turned to Felicia for a moment when she heard her question.

“Why are you asking me?” jeslyn said indifferently. He was putting down the food he had just finished cooking. Felicia folded her hands together on her chest.

“Then I have to ask who? Isn't Dave always sleeping with you?”

“He didn't sleep with me,” Jeslyn replied without turning to Felicia.

“You don't lie! I saw her myself last night she walked into your room when I just got home,” Felicia said in a high tone.

Jeslyn's activities have stopped. He lifted his head then looked pushyly at Felicia. “As far as you want to believe it or not, for sure I have told you the truth.”

Jeslyn walked towards the dining table to put the food she had already moved all the way to the dishes and bowls.

Felicia followed Jeslyn from behind. “Then Dave went where if he didn't sleep with you?”

“I don't know.”

“Heeh Jeslyn, you don't feel big because Dave prefers to sleep with you. You just wait, until I can conceive Dave's child, I'll get Dave to divorce you as soon as possible.”

Jeslyn who was arranging a meal on the table immediately turned to Felicia. “Do it if you can. Don't you know why Dave always sleeps in my room instead of sleeping in your room?”

“What's the reason?” asked Felicia arrogantly.

“Because he loves me. He only wanted a child from me, so don't ever dream of kicking me out of this house. You know why? Because you won't be able to get pregnant. Dave will never touch you,” Jeslyn said confidently.

Jeslyn was forced to say that to make Felicia stop using him. Jeslyn just made up a story for Felicia. Although Jeslyn knew that Dave could not possibly touch her, Jeslyn thought that Felicia would never know that Dave never loved her, let alone touch her.

Friska grunting. “You can't be sure yet. I'd do anything to get Dave to touch me! You just wait. I'll get you out of here without getting a dime from Dave if I'm pregnant with Dave's child later.”

Jeslyn laughed cynically. “Dave won't fall in your trap! I'll keep him from falling into your ruse. Let's see who's gonna have Dave's child first. Me or you? If I'm the first one who's pregnant with Dave's child. I'll also make sure that you get out of this house without getting anything.” Jeslyn left Felicia.

“Heyy Jeslyn, don't dream you can kick me out of here. I am a wife recognized by everyone. While you're just a shadow wife. No one knows about your status. I'm superior to you!” felicia shouted with an annoyed face.

Jeslyn paid no heed to Felicia's screams echoing inside their mansion. Jeslyn stepped up the stairs and walked towards Dave's study. When Jeslyn finds out that Dave is not sleeping in Felicia's room, Jeslyn can immediately guess where Dave is.

Jeslyn opened the door slowly and saw Dave lying on a single bed in his study. The smell of cigarette smoke pouring into his sense of smell made Jeslyn open the curtain and open the window.

Jeslyn Down. “Dave, bangun, Dave.”

Jeslyn tries to shake Dave's body so he wakes up. Dave opened his eyes slowly. Dave tried to banish the incoming sunlight through the window slit using his palm.

“Why are you sleeping here?” jeslyn asked when Dave had woken up from his sleep and was sitting on the bed.

Dave's got his temple. He felt dizzy because he was sleep deprived especially he just fell asleep at 5 am.

“What time is it now?” Instead of answering Jeslyn's question, Dave asked her something else.

“At 7 am. Are you sick?” Jeslyn held Dave's forehead because he looked pale.

Dave shook Jeslyn's hand. “You don't have to care about me.” Dave got out of bed.

“Dave let me check you out. Your face is pale.” Jeslyn tries to stop Dave from leaving his office.

Dave looked at Jeslyn. “Didn't you tell me not to care about each other until our divorce comes, " Dave said flatly.

“Dave, sorry for what I said last night. I admit I was wrong. I got carried away with emotions because you carried my parents' names.” Jeslyn walked over to Dave. “Then when did you touch Dave's cigarette? Didn't you like the smell of cigarette smoke the least?”

“You don't need to know!”

“Dave you know that smoking is not good for your health. You can't drink alcohol either. You know it yourself.”

“I can take care of myself.” Dave walked to his room with a slow step.

Jeslyn shook her head. He knew that Dave was still angry with him because of his words last night.Jeslyn finally just followed Dave's steps from behind.

“Dave, where have you been?” felicia said as she just climbed the stairs and saw Dave walking with Jeslyn. Felicia is deliberately spoiled on Dave.

Jeslyn only threw away her face when Felicia showed her powerful attitude to Dave. “Release! I'mtired. I want to rest,” Dave said as he shook Felicia's hand.

Felicia's face immediately turned sour. “Better you rest with in my room. I miss you very much,” persuaded Felicia in a soft voice. He's still trying to be nice to you, Dave.

Jeslyn advanced toward Dave and Felicia. Dave just kept quiet, looked at Felicia for a moment then said, “Bai.”.

“Sorry Fel, Dave has to rest in my room. She's not feeling well. All he needs is me. I'll take care and treat it.” It's not over Dave talking Jeslyn's already cut off his speech.

“Come Dave.”

Jeslyn immediately pulled Dave's hand towards his room. Dave was a little surprised by Jeslyn's actions. He was going to rest in Felicia's room. He's trying to avoid Jeslyn.

Dave finally followed Jeslyn. In her heart she praised Jeslyn's actions while rejecting Felicia's request firmly.
